The event tonight was a lot of fun, I think everyone on both sides had a LOT of fun, we ourselves (Black Omega Security) had a lot of fun, but I think that there is still one thing that CCP need desperately to work on. I think everyone will agree with me here when i say..... LAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGG. I dont know what it is.... but it has been like this for about a year in all fleet battles........ I remember the days when 100 - 200+ fleet battles...... even on dial up was not that bad, a little bit of lag but still tolerable. Ok it has improved in the last fortnight compared with the past year but it still needs a lot of work.(imho) Me, myself had a few kill mails, but I think I would have had a lot more if it had been a little less laggy, most of the time taking more than 15 seconds to activate a module, and reloading a different ammo? was impossible, unless you warp out and back in again. Other than that though it has been a VERY enjoyable night(so far). Still much of the night to go yet, as of yet the titan is not in serpentis prime.. which as most of you know is many jumps away from the current system of JKJ. Many more battles etc to come yet. =)
Wish you all luck.

Lag upon warpin / jumpin was quite bad. 40-50 seconds to load a scene in a frigate with 120 known hostiles there isnt fun. On the other hand, once i loaded, i even managed to capture a bit of FRAPS footage with reasonably FPS.
All in all it was alot of fun, although it was the fleetbattles and not the actual event that was fun. Shooting a titan with 30million shield HP is like shooting a Qonquerable station except this one shoots back and smartbombs anyone that gets close.
Besides that, i think the move of [5] to allie with Serpentis was somewhat unexpected. One actor didnt know about agreements another one made. Statements etc were contradicting. In the end, it seemed to be fixed, although communication was somewhat lacking imho.

It was great fun. It was my first time in 0.0 space so I took an incursus with very little on it :). got past an early blockade and made it to the titan and started taking pot shots at it. It killed my little ship fast :D |

There were two sides? When I went, there was just a big mass of ships that shot everything in sight, shooting the titan in the off periods that nobody out of gang came.

It is still alive , at least as aof a few min ago it was 4 jumps from Serpentis prime and had 50 pct shield.
I 1v1'd it in my Vigil and though it was a close fight (1000 Meters) My vigil wasnt prepared for the Smart Bomb.

The lag there was terrible. I counted about 35 seconds before the grid loaded. Luckily I didn't die in those 35 seconds but it really would have (and probably did) make a difference to the outcome of the game.
I am sure that the dev's/creators did not intend for the game mechanics to be secondary to the server/network speed of the cluster... but currently it is. It is a huge shame that these kind of game mechanics are the primary force in the eve universe at the moment. I am sure that many of us look forward to a time when superior tactics and pilot experience rule the sky-ways.

Nobody killed it. It docked in serpentis prime. The only big winners are the people mining for tritanium right now.

Hopefully it goes on a rampage every day to free serpentis space from squatters. Hell every 0.0 faction should have a repoman like this.

This just shows how much of a Street Gang ATUK is... they ally with the event staff, and what do they get? They get every single person wanting in on the event swarming them like moths to a flame. They don't take on the challenge of fighting the event staff and the tough ships do they? Nah, they want to fight the babies and disorganized mob. Turkey shoot. Respect--

IM SORRY WHAT? We had a gang of 50. There were 300+ people involved of the event, The Serpentis had about 8 - 10 BS. HOW WAS SIDING WITH THEM THE EASY OPTION?
Anyone who fought us tonight KNOWS how outnumbered we were at all times.

Um, warping a fleet of like 40 into 200 is easy? Not a challenge? Are you kidding? If 5 wanted to side with our allies and take out the titan it would have been dead very quickly.

Im personally glad 5ive and MC sided with the titan. It made the hole thing alot more spicy and fun.
Infact the most fun was fighting against 5ive and MC, not shooting at the 250km-optimal-dev-throns-that-didnt-have-to-use-the-gates or the flying POS.
Thank you all for a good night, regardless of the endless whine in local. _____________

200 people shooting down a titan is easy....
50 united people, going up against 200 people, escorting a titan, DEEP DEEP DEEP into the heart of the 200 man blob home, is very tough.
We over came odds, and came out victorious ;o _________________________________________________ <3 hi |

Actually, the vast majority of the kills were FA, G, and IMP. They were not disorganised, nor should it not be expected that they would not fight us as well.
I wasn't at the fight, but what the hell is wrong with choosing a differant side then the ones your enemys are choosing? In what rule book does it say that we should be forced to participate in the event in the way that you chooose? We comunicated that we were siding with the serps, and that was accepted.

Funny stuff actually...Shinra siding with the ones who stole a Gallente Titan.. ...though they made their bed with the Gallente when Lallente did in the Caldari race thingy...but then again..its all about the fun ain't it...

Sorry I disagree with that, we gave up when the devs where teleporting 8 of their faction ships on top of a gate camp on the choke points and would refit them ships to close range than long range, plus the Nemours crops which were paid to protect it.
