So, I hate the direction eve is going and am gonna quit. The question is what I do with my isk. No, I won't give them to you. But in the true eve spirit, I want to go out in style -- by screwing over as many people as possible and ideally by personally pooping in Hamlikar's lunch. Terrorizing innocent bears is all well and good, but I'd like to see something more grand.
Anyone have suggestions? 40 billion isk budget, and all the time in the world. And if I get a nice idea, I'll toss you a bil or two as a thankyou.

Fill a hauler with all the drones you can possibly buy off the market. Fly them out to the drone regions and release them back into their natural habitat.
Do something silly.
Fill a freighter with goodies. Hire some friends/locals/mercs to guard it as you fly it the short route from Jita to Rens. If it makes it, reward the guards. If not, well someone got rewarded :)

It's not obvious , but that would create a shortage of a lot of popular factions mods , as screwing over a lot of L4 grinders (who are not all bear , it would also impact the one who are using an alt to fund themselves) . |

Spend the next few weeks speculating on the Oxygen Isotopes market, since Goons are actively promoting Economic PVP there (killing the Ice Miner Bots that are the backbone of EVE's economy).
40 billion would absolutely destroy that market, and given that Goons are cutting off supply at the knees, it would take weeks or months to recover.
Without Oxytopes, there's a rather significant part of EVE's crafting system et all that grinds to an absolute halt. |

Dude, just have fun. I actually think I'm better off than you are with your 40bil isk and my 4mil isk (new) because i"m having a hell ton of fun. I think alot of ideas above are pretty good and will net you a couple chuckles, but just pick what you think you'll enjoy and run with it.

Fill some of the biggest ships you can buy up with expensive equipment go to JIta and attack a random person. Get concorded and give the gift of what survived to the eve community! and if you have 40 BIL you could probably do this at multiple stations.
Or do the same with haulers and fill them with random ships! That way some will survive and it would be like a pi+¦ata to the eve community.
Or as a act of kindness you can go find a few new players like a day old. Try to weed out the alts, and give them 1B. This would make any new playerGÇÖs day.

What would I do with that much money. Probably keep it, but that would be boring.
40Bil is not that much so economic impact is ruled out. Youcould do the following:
You look at the Dotlan maps or something and find out what the systems with the most NPC kills in nullsec are. You then get as many accounts as you can run at a time for PLex (I am not sure how many clients you can run at lowest settings afk ^^) and park them cloaked in those systems. Disrupting bots and ******* with the normal residents. And with a little work you can even use one account at a time to catch people thinking "he is only afk anyway"
They will hate you. ;)
But as that is quite a big workload you will not want to do you could just buy as many cheap Battleships and expensive Sartbombs as you can and continously Smartbomb Jita 4-4 undock or something
Or you could outfit some expensive Ships to be invited into Incursions and **** up the whole process for them. "unintentionally" ofc you will be banned from those fleets but that wont bother you ;)
Or outfit some bait-Macks to kill g00ns? or buy as many lowpriced NeX items as you can and just undercut all the people trying to turn there free AUr into ISK
I really like the "Free drones" idea intot he drone regions ;) Or just fill a full freighter or something with Exotic Dancers and dump them everywhere on new Eden
Or get a freighterload of Janitors into a Station of your choice and sell them "This place needs to be cleaned up!" Or get alot of Quafe into WH Space so the sleepers can wake up.

The amount of places are endless in Eve. Not all containers would have the same PW you could literally control hundreds if not thousands of players. PW = 1234 container located in system abc, PW = 5678 container located in system xyz. You can get real crazy with the possibilities. You'd have people scanning everything might even have players mistakenly can flipping LOL. Oh the power to control a mob. |

You want to hit a major EVEnest24 or ISD.
Buy 5 monocles, put them in a Wreathe (a Wreathe looks like a train, so call it the Monocle Train) Announce your intentions on the forum and then fly between major systems and on the highway between Rens, Jita and Amarr. Tank the Wreath as much as you can to get as many people to CONCORD themselves without successfully killing you.
Make sure the Monocles are stacked in separate stacks so they get calclated separately for loot drops. You'll get talked about for decades in EVE as that due who flew the Monocle Train around EVE - like the guy who lost 100B in PLEX n a Rifter outside JITA. |

If I was certain I was leaving then this is what I'd try to do. There are a few underlying assumptions here:
I would buy as many highsec docked carriers in Jita or Armarr that I had characters that could fly them (maybe it's one or four, etc) and wait until the busiest time on a saturday. I would fit each carrier with the best in game mods. I would undock and begin to rage against the best ships I could until I died. It probably wouldn't blow all the isk but it would be close.
The loot from the wreck(s) would potentially be awesome.

Wait for hordes of people to arrive.
When they are all in their pods and waiting to jump in you activate all smartbombs and watch the biggest concord of all time appear plus your sec status drop to about -10.0.

Speak to the CCP team that organises live events.
Spend your 40bn on putting together your perfect fleet.
Ask them to let you FC a Fleet composing all of your ships and a whole pile of Devs of your choice, attacking a random system that you choose. Incursion style effects would apply in full. Concord is nullified.
Give an event to the community - go out in style.
You do have to spend the full 40bn - your character is automatically biomassed when your ship is destroyed.

Edit - this would be a nice way to weed out the "I quit" rage-posters. Make them commit. |

1) Buy plex with all your isk.
2) Stuff all plex to well tanked battleship.
3) Write to forums that you have just undocked in some quiet hisec system called ****** and are going to drive around various hisec systems as long you are alive.
4) Wait for some of the gankers to arrive and start moving.
5) Don't forget to yell that you have 40b worth of plex in your hold in every system you go to..
6) Keep moving and have the most entertaining day of your eve career.

buy as many melted nanoribbons as you can, hop into a hulk and go ice mining, get ganked by the goons and have an alt pick up the nanoribbons before the goons can get to it making the goons cry like little babies from losing billions from a wreck!
or run around null buying random stuff and selling it back to them for extra isk. then claim to be with their blues and cause an eve version of a world war!
or even better, go into fw and join some fleets and get their standings into the negatives by shooting the station's guns or random wrecks!
or pay a whole bunch of mercs to war dec a bunch of nullsec alliances that are all red to each other. it'd be even better if you found a huge carebear corp and get them to war dec them instead. |

Fund an alliance that is the enemy of an alliance you do like, and give the isk to the person in said alliance who you think will dish it out the fairest. Then demand videos and updates of what your isk is acclompishing. like one of those orphaned tigers you can adopt that sends you letters and dried up big cat crap. whatever you do with it, make sure to goto Jita for a bit and spam local that you're giving away all of your isk and you'll double whatever anyone gives you - But actually do it : ) oh and make sure its with an alt for the mystery factor. good luck! |

click the link in my signature, although I had a little under a trillion isk for all those events, you could do something similar with your budget if you want to have fun while you spend/ give away all your isk.
40bil budget you could do the following fun event:
- Setup a deathstar in a dead end lowsec system
- Get some pos gunners and set pos to shoot all on site
- Put an unmanned rare ship (or two) in the middle of your pos (Guardian Vexor probably best for the low skill requirement)
- Surround your pos with 300 cans
- Put the pos password in ten (or less) of the cans
- First person to get inside the pos gets the ship
- First person to takeout the rare ship wins the rest of your isk

I did that occassionaly with excess stuff in the help channel with a Q&A sort of game. Asking related EVE question about game mechanics etc. and the first one with the correct answer wins. Until recently that was no problem but ISD seems to have a problem with it now and asked me to stop.... poor newbies, now i just reprocess it. |

this is actually a good point... however going off the monocle train i actually have a way to make it better use exotic dancers and call it the Love Train then get someone to follow you through whatever systems you may travel through spamming the lyrics to the song Love Train or possibly better the lyrics to the Bad Touch by Bloodhound Gang onto Local. I really like the new eden wide savanger hunt for plex idea. If I can add some ideas to it and attempt to elaborate.
Step 1)
Buy 100 plex. These are the rewards. Put anywhere from 1 to 20 in a secure can. Store these at least convenient spots in the game. Safe spots in very unsafe low sec systems for example. Add many decoys as well (put an exotic dancer in them for fun).
Step 2)
Bookmark somewhere 150km away from the can with the plex. Make the password the last 5 digits in the bookmark location.
Step 3)
Put these bookmarks in other cans hidden around new eden. Repeat to your desired level of recursion. More steps for bigger rewards.
Step 4)
Put the last set of secure containers with the bookmarks near stations, moons, gates, planets. Use a set of "obvious" passwords like 12345, password, iamgod, etc. But don't specify which you use on each can.
Step 5)
Post the details of the plan on the forums and invite people to go search for the cans
Step 6)
Give the location of the low sec cans (but not the bookmark/password) to pirate corps. Pay the pirates bounties on all of the scavenger hunters which they kill.
Bonus points if you can get additional funding donated to make the rewards worth even more.
As an alternative, don't put plex in the final can. But instead put a billion isk worth of high volume goods. Make them take a hauler out to low sec to retrieve the reward. |
