All feedback on COSMOS can be added into this post. This includes errors in missions, bugged agents and things like that. Bigger issues can also be posted here.

I have attempted an L2 agent in Ishisomo, name's Retian Ariato, who gave me a trade (internal security agent gives a trade mission? nvm though) mission, Missing Weapons Stash, 1 of 4, to retrieve some Wiyrkomi Rifles from Guristas pirates in a contested area in neighbouring system.
Question: is it normal that Details window doesn't give a right-clickable destination system name?
I then proceeded to the system in question and to the deadspace location in question. It appeared to be a publicly accessible complex, which was squeaky clean when I arrived. It also contained three 2nd level acceleration gates, first two of which led me to empty areas, and third - to a guristas spy station swimming with encrypted containers (no hacking skill anywhere, so pointless so far) and small rats вropping Spurs.
Not one NPC dropped Wiyrkomi Rifles, so at my petition GM Fate has canceled the mission for me.
In general, I do not see how missions can target publicly accessible complexes for specific loot, as various players will just clear the complex before mission-runner arrives, easily - please do correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, I just got done travling all of the Cosmos constellation Ani. Their are NO archeology agent's at any of the becons or in any of the complexes that would let a shuttle in. Also their are no Archeology or Hacking skill books being sold in metropolis.

let me just say that i think that location is alittle extream.. it wasted my sacrelige and i have NEVER lost one from lvl 1-3 missions before.. i am not sure if it's posible to do alone in a crusier.. maybe a battle crusier.. but there was no indication of the large dificulty on the mission log.. it would mean that peeps who acepted the mission would be doomed to fail

Yeah we went into that spy one.
We started of with an enyo and taranis, and ended up using hac's. As they just kept respawning ever minute.

storyline mission agents don't display their offer in journal (prior to the patch they didn't if you read the evemail first. dunno if it is still the same!) the response time is crippling!

By the way, the can spammage resulting from the small NPC respawn rate at Guristas spy station is quite unnerving as well. |

Edited by: Khaldorn Murino on 06/07/2005 10:52:51 COSMOS is great. (I've only been around Ani so far)
The head in a jar is sheer genius, the nebulas are jaw dropping. Well done indeed!
However, i got a few questions. Is it meant to be possible to know what level the agent is before you talk to him? As in the kind of ship he's flying and its class? If not, this is cool, i dont want to be spoon fed.
Yes, the archaelogy and hacking skills, when can we expect them to surface. And also, can we get an explanation of how these things are likely to work?
I really like the puzzle element of it all, how things in one system relate to another. I like the broad scope of agents on offer. The graphics are great. The random spawns of pirates, as far as i can tell, at random places around the COSMOS system is a good idea :) If anything, make the puzzle content harder to work out. There are too many easy things in EVE atm
The little bits of history and info when you warp to beacons are great reading, props to the content team for expanding the storyline and prime fiction.
Personally, I think this is one of the best additions to EVE we've had for a good while. I cant wait for all the other COSMOS stuff.
Oh, and another couple of questions.
I went into a contested deadspace complex with a few corp mates last night. On one side are the gists, on the other are the minmatar republic narcotic officers. Now i had thought that the minmatars would be the 'good guys' if you will, so we were happily blowing up gists when we ventured to close to the minmatars and got set upon. Is this correct? As I would have thought they wouldnt have fired until fired upon?
And are missions in COSMOS geared towards groups or solo? We had lots of fun running around it in a group last night, and it comes to mind that there is tons of possibilty for group play withing the COSMOS functionality.
But once again, extremely well done. Thanks :)
P.S. Oh, and please do not make it any easier! I dont want easy missions, we wnat interesting hard ones, if we lose ships,so be it! As long as its challenging it rocks. -

The skills should start popping up on the market today or tomorrow. They were missing a baseprice and thus the market did not seed them, this will most likely be fixed during downtime. I also wouldn't recommend using a shuttle for any of those complexes, as you will find yourself outgunned. Of course we will look closely at numbers and community feedback and tune the miniprofessions and COSMOS accordingly. This will also give us a better overview of further COSMOS development.
For the other issues, I cannot really help you out on your missions. They often involve doing things like using the scanner or just generally finding out how to do things on your own, many are very unlike your typical missions. It's up to you if you chose to spend the time and effort in figuring out where to go or what to do.
One problem I will guide you on though. We've had some reports of people not being able to find stations or spawns. The only tip I can give you is this:
Look further, perhaps what you should be looking for is not a station

Yep, these are not "normal" Republic NPC's like you regularly see in empire space. These have a task and aren't going to let pesky pod-pilots get in their way

Nice
By the way, the new Republic Fleet Tempest (forget its name now), and bearing in mind i never fly battleships, is a piece of s&x on space. Its Tempest Bling.
Now, any chance you lot are going to let me get my hands dirty designing a COSMOS system. Cmon, you cant have all the fun yourselves :) -

If you talk to an in space agent. And he offers you a mission, but you decline. I take it he will offer you the same mission again when you come back?
EDIT: Actually, I can just check myself tonight. -

I don't know if you guys set it like this but currently Electronics upgrade V ,Science V, and hacking 1 to be able to use Code breakers, and Science V Survey V Archeology I for analyzers. I dunno but that doesn't sound like a mini-profession to me. Now I can't try the missions out cause it would take a month to be able to. Maybe decress the Lv Vs to Lv III or IV?

I think the idea is that you dont do all professions, that you merely specialise in one. Therefore you may have to work with other to complete missions you arent skilled for.
But thats only a guess.
Im also wondering if nebulas occupy a region of space or are only accessable via accelleration gates? As it would be pretty cool to have it take up a large portion of a system. You could then PvP in one if it covered, say a planet.
It would be even better if nebulas hid your signal so you didnt appear on scanner, and more importantly, didnt appear in the local chat channel. -

Mini-professions are an optional part of COSMOS. They arn't required to do any of the missions apart from the specific mini-profession missions. You will still be able to do 95% of all the COSMOS missions without having to touch mini-professions. What the benefits of mini-professions are, I will let you discover by yourself

Mission seems to be missing some vital words: --- I Lost My Stuff (2 of 2)
Mission briefing When I got blown up, most of the modules on my ship got destroyed. Some of my items survived the explosion but got looted by enemy ships shortly after. Before I can build my new ship, I need you to go and retrieve some of the lost modules. Please go to the (MISSING WORDS HERE) and bring back one of my missile launchers. Maybe I will give you a nice reward if you complete this quickly.
--- Thus I have no clue where to look

not really a bug, more of a request.
Missions are A LOT of fun right now in my Raven. Guri Extravaganza is awesome.. the problem is that missions take me hours to finish them. I'm fine with this..
I just wish you guys would make it so cargo containers stuck around for the full mission time and maybe enemies didn't respawn. I can play slowly and enjoy it, 10hrs, 24hrs.. whatever.. spending the full time to do a mission, it's relaxing.
Like, im ready to go to bed right now but I have cargo cans everywhere and they wont be there when I finish the mission later.
is this possible? please say it is :( ________

Edited by: ErrorS on 06/07/2005 22:01:48 Edited by: ErrorS on 06/07/2005 21:59:47 Oh, something small about one of the missions.
In the mission "Infested Ruins", the lv4 when you shoot missles at the lesser hive it looks stupid. Like the center point is a small dot off to the side of the object.. my missles have to go around the hive to get to it and it looks rediculous.
(edit: this isn't a complaint. It's really not that important :P was just pointing it out)
(edit2: you know what would be cool for this mission? If lesser drone hive was several different parts linked together. I like that this structure takes a while to kill but it would be more fun if I had different targets to fire at. I minimized the game while attacking it to post this, heh.) ________

I found a green nebula at a moon earlier tonight. Looked like pea-soup. It had a minor drone infestation but was quite nice to look at. Only annoyance is that storyline ships arnt showing automatically in the overview. I was happily admiring the view, when i noticed my shields and armor dropping. I thought it was perhaps an effect of the nebula untill a little red cross caught my attention
