This Mission is more than easy. I did it in a Caracal. All u have todo is to go close to the Control Tower (40km or so), lock the control tower, then move towards a stargate or a station or something like that, and then open fire. The tower needed only 3 or 4 volleys to blow up, so i had some more time to kill 2 of the incoming cruiser before i had to warp out. Then tell your agent the job is done, get your stuff, pickup the loot if u want and all is fine...

Erm, Don't know whether this is really going to contribute to this or not but..
I have had this mission once and solo'd it in a cruise sniperaven. The BS blobs are easy if u go out to 135km first and then keep running. I took out the first blob, then the small group on the objective and then took down the objective. The only reason I didn't finish off the 2nd BS blob was tbh, I couldn't be bothered to. BM, finish mission go back fetch loot. With the right set-up this mission is easier than some lvl 4s as it should be, but a real challenge if you are used to 3s. Just my two pennies.

Having read the messages about people getting 80M implants from this mission, I'm feeling hard done by. I picked up the implant from the can, plus the mission reward implant, and their total value is approximately 250k ISK. That sucks. Plus, for doing 10 straight storyline missions in a row you get a total faction standing bonus of... drumroll... 1.2%. Woo, and indeed hoo. I think I will be rejecting this mission if I get it offered again in the future, it's a total waste of time. |

i usually bypass that storyline mission - there are some other neat easier ones taht drop +3 implants as a time bonus (its a courier one though)

I find that hard to believe, as the reward is a 5% implant.
Of course getting a +3 implant at the last stage isnt guaranteed, but the odds are quite high. A friend of mine completed this mission a day ago, he ended up with something like 200-250m of just implant loot after completing the entire thing.
Yes, he was quite lucky. However, I feel you were quite unlucky. Generally, this is a really great mission, and a nice way to make some isk.

Just a note, if you aggro one "blob" grp before killing the tower you wont get aggroed by everyone and his pet :); so it's a quite doable mission for a top notch tanked bs, begin worst grp formed of 5 bs + support

if u were, this would be much harder than a lvl4 - but this mission is just supposed to be setup for someone to clear the first 2 lvls, then jump into the last, kill the structure (tower in guristas one), BM the can then warp before the BSs destroy you
You don't have to open the can to complete the mish?
no

if you get this mission and the last stage. when u have to destroy the structere where the "ipmlant" comes out dont go there! the implant totaly sucks and is worth 100.000ISK and you will probitly loose your ship gedding the ipmlant.
i made the same mistake and i lost my raven and 2 months of running missions is now all gone, i lost it all...

I have done this mission twice (i.e. 20 missions) and both times I got 100-150k implants as rewards (no idea what a "5% implant" is) and feck-all standing increase. This mission sequence sucks utterly and should be avoided at all costs.

i did this mission yesterday and got a zainou (the one that gives 5% to medium hybrid damage) implant. the tower dropped a +3 charisma implant and earlier in the missions a rat dropped a +4 intelligence implant.

You... did not read this thread first. This 10-part mission is a brilliantly thought out one. The final implant is totally random. Ranging in value from 50,000 ISK to 50,000,000 ISK. The faction hit also varies, but is quite worth it. Plus, you can get some nice cash from the bounties on the final stage and quit a lot of BS loot. If you don't have your BS set up right, and can't tank those BS's, then don't try fight them. Can't possibly see how you could have lost your Raven unless you tried to take on the BS groups solo and can't tank. If some people can do it in a Caracal/Ferox...then doing it in a Raven should be far easier.
2 Thumbs up to CCP for a very nice storyline mission. 2 Thumbs down to anyone thinking they can beat every mission in a BS and solo.

Strange, I did this mission today and the BS blobs didnt atack me. I sat there for a while looking up the implant's price on market (it was junk), but never once did they even lock me.

done xxxxxx strike twice now, 1st guristas strike and the 2nd one was angel strike
omg the difference, my enyo is tougher now than then when I did guristas strike, and I almost lost it several times in angel strike the implants more than made up for the spending an hour with a hull repairer total
on guristas strike I got a +3 memory implant, on angel strike I got a +3 willpower implant and both as the mission reward had a +5% medium hybrid turret dmg not bad considering my normal luck is crap |

I got 3% to turret optimal range implant on that one, so i guess now we know who your crap luck went to ;.;
(was 5% laser damage implant as reward though. Seems these are a bit random as well)

shesh.... dont know what all the fuss is about. IT looks hard and daunting from the scanner... but u dont need to take on the blobs and they let u sail right on up to the tower. I did it in a dom and they took about 5% of my shield off b4 i warped out. Simply went right on up to it... then released the drones so all the enemy fire is concentrated on the drones and then kill off the tower with any short range weapon. Tower dies in seconds and your ship has barely taken a hit. I didnt even lose a drone doing this mission. great rewards, great storyline, great mission. -------- Agent wh*re and allround carebear |

before or after patch? I use rails and missiles(enyo), and pre patch I argo'd the whole damn thing, of course it was easy to warp out when they hit for nothing |

seriously. under NO circumstances try and engage ANYONE on the last lvl of this mission.
i have soloed it in a raven (guristas version) and think i would be quite happy to do it in my harpy

I loved this mission as I'd help be the tank for someone else. When it was time for my mission I had prepped my scorpion for a serious tank, made some serious calculations on how long it would last..... and then my puny 256 RAM PC lagged. The lag lasted about 90-120 secs. By the time I got the controls back my scorp was being carefully dismantled by 4 Blasterthrons with another 4 Snipers adding to the paintstripping from a distance. I was aligned for warp and only had to click "autopilot" to prevent problems.... but even that was too much for my machine
It was great fun though So if you are a lagger like me at the moment, click the shield booster and cap booster on before you aggro the buggers. I was also expecting explosive torps from Ravens but if I was paying attention I would have tanked for hybridisation

Part 10 is doable in a Ferox you dont have to take on any of the Bs's just destroy the control tower. This is how I did it
gated in took out the guys at the gate headed towards the control tower and took out the guys guarding it the Bs's did not join in.
Now I decided to recover shields and cap, but when deactivating my booster accidently hit a launcher. Since I was locked on the tower everything aggroed so I fired everything at the tower then warped when I started taking hits from the Bs's (I aligned for warp while I was firing on the tower)
Then I went back through the deadspaces and picked up the can, the Bs's were returning to thier prev locations and ignored me.
The Bs's only aggro if the control tower is attacked so there is no need to take them out just make sure you can warp when the tower is destroyed, when I warped the tower was still intact but I had enough missiles on the way to finish the job.

Forgot to mention mission 3/10 creats a deadspace with a nice sellection of decent sized omber roids so when I finished this section I spent a few hours mining omber in Sobaski got neally a cans worth.

Well... if you ever get this mission, wait till just after reboot...OR, don't go finish stage 2. Because, by my calculation, there is roughly 175,000 units (or more) of Omber just floating around... And THAT, is a lot of ISK for "free"...without any Ore Thieves to worry about... except that the NPC rats do respawn...so watch yourself. :)

Well there is the obvious solution...
Get in a BS and get some mates.
I helped out a friend (him Apoc, me Geddon) who got this chain along with a remote repairing Dominix. You can take on the BS spawns one by one and pocket the 1.5m bounties.
Its the first time ive actually made A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF MONEY FROM A MISSION SINCE THE NERF!

Well more by luck than judgement the final gate was much simpler for me
I went in mega the few NPC round gate are easy I then started moving away from control tower and when in range of 120km optimal ammo I let rip, control tower was down in 10 seconds or so while the larger NPC spawn come chasing - I then went back to station.
I changed to a thorax with 100mn lif fuelled ab and tank - no guns, I did this as I felt that this was the hint in the mission info i.e. quick and agile - I then made a run at can - while getting smacked by NPC, I managed to go too fast and overshot the can - oops but i managed to BM the can - went back completed mission and then flew back to can and collected my nice suprise :-) So 1. You dont need to collect can to complete mission although what is inside is nice 2. You dont need to kill the whole spawn 3. Thier is an easy way and a hard way
total time doing the last gate of 10/10 mission was 10 minutes

Having lost a Megathron to a screen freeze , first time I was offered this mission series, I was crafty when dealing with the final stage of mission 10. I did the prievious gates in a gedden , warped through the last gate, took out the gate keepers and bookmarked a can one of them dropped and warped out. I returned in a Celestis, with a full load of drones, setup for survival rather than damage. Closed to 35 km from the tower and launched the drones. I aligned with a local stargate and started cruising towards it and then sent the 8 drones in to attack. The drones took down the tower in about 60 seconds, during which I was waiting for any signs of aggression against my ship. Not one single shot was fired at the Celestis, or by the Celestis. Once the tower went down I warped out leaving the drones. I went to a local station ended the mission, warped back to the bookmark picked up the loot and my drones which were all still intact. The loot was a +3 memory unit worth about 35 mil in these parts, worth risking a cruiser for but not my battleship. I'm impressed by those that take out all the ships, but that route is not for me, I'd rather risk what I can afford to lose. 'Desire the Right'

I had to take the last stage a bit at a time as no corp mates were around to help.
Used a cerberus (HAC) to take out the rats at the warp in point, then used it to take out the cruisers and frigs from the left hand group whilst tanking the BS's. Then left to return in a Raven to take out the BS's.
Repeated the same steps to take out the right hand BS group. HAC for frigs and crusiers whilst tanking and then Raven to take out the BS's.
That just left the cruisers round the Control Tower and the Control Tower itself which i finished off in HAC.
Took a while, but was much more interesting and rewarding than standard important missions.
more please CCP

I've just got this mission and can't even get past the 3rd mission. i've used all my keycards up. oh well.
Can you get it again? Cause it looks like it would be fun in a few months time once I've got better combat skills.
