Personally, I'd much rather have the server manage the camera. How boring would a fleet fight be, watching it at max zoom-out. Yay, brackets and the occasional bright light! :)

it seem that if you app get some buy-in from the DEVs, they could set up a few invulnerable ship at interesting places and stream to you... maybe they can make some sort of macro to have the camera cycle through some cool actions...
really cool though - can't wait to try it!

when i try and open the .wme file to make my own stream, an error comes up saying that the file 'does not appear to be a valid session file'

You have no problem viewing a stream? Everything should be up and running, others have been connected and streamed so it should work. Will have to sort this out. Just make sure that the output server says "stream.evelocal.com"

Are you using some special characters in the name or description? If so try use a normal name, altho it shouldn't matter as I tried using special chars and it loaded up fine.
Should load fine if it is copied straight off the script generator.

no, it seems the problem was that when i first tried i saved it on wordpad where the default save type was .rtf, even though it showed as being a wme file after save, it didnt work. After saving it on Notepad with save type as .txt, it works fine.

As for FireFox there is a guide on the main page of EVE-Live on how to get the plugin, works fine for me in FF.
Does it even capture when running in full mode?

But is it possible that this little program can be filled with some evil code that captures your keystrokes and steal your passwords?

Of course it is possible, however I would never put my reputation with EVE-Files, EVE-Search etc at risk by doing such.
As for the software used, you can get it from Microsoft's site as well if you feel that downloading it from me feels untrustworthy.

What says that? The Encoder or when you try to view a stream?
If encoder, did you copy the script properly? And I assume there is no firewall or routers blocking your request?

Microsoft is the most untrustworthy of all sites. Most virus are downloaded there. I think people should stick with you mate. What can be more untrustworthy than Microsoft?! 
Anyhow i felt someone should point this out, mainly because we have no comments from Dev's so far.
