So really... Huff are just carebears. I mean, really, what's the difference between an experienced pilot griefing newbies and an experienced pilot griefing scordite?

Thanks for the offer Lightning, but as we consider ourselves a neutral corp to alliances, this would be impossible as far as I know.
Our open channel Eve University is still open to anyone, and we will continue to try and provide information to newer players should the questions that are asked be answereable. We also have to ask that any members of Huff that do decide to idle in that channel please refrain from smacktalk or abusing our students or any newer players. If you feel the need to smacktalk, please direct it towards myself.

Well in the noobÆs, er I mean my own defence I did get first blood in this rather one sided war:
With only a few of our members on, even less of them combatants, no senior members, and a lot of hot air coming from the Huff Technologies trolling Eve University chat, I did my best to defend the little corner of space thatÆs our home.
I suspect I was lured into an ambush by what unfortunately may have been a spy, responding to their urgent report of a sighting of the opposition; I warped in with little more information than a location.
Id outfitted my Rupture to try to go point blank with what I feared we face: Battleships and such like, hoping that speed to beat the tracking of their turrets, what little EW I have at my disposal and armour would go some way to even the odds. Well thats the theroy anyway. Unfortunately I arrived on the scene to see my erstwhile college warping off to leave me facing a Merlin and two Wolves alone.
I wasnÆt able to rabbit to my safe spot in time, though I was well out the range of standard warp disruptors/scramblers I imagine I had the pleasure of being subjected to some rather more advanced hardware. So with no option to flee, I decided to at least try to make a good account of myself. Lighting up my afterburners I went for the Merlin, hoping that Id last long enough while closing the ~30km and to at least get a few shots off from my 200mms
ItÆs a shame that thereÆs no collision damage, because somehow I managed to ram the Merlin, I suppose the pilot was stunned by my rather unorthodox tactic of doing the least intelligent thing possible. Throwing my rather ponderous Rupture into a point blank orbit I opened up with my auto cannons and nos hoping that it would drain enough that Id be able to keep the armour repairer running. The Merlin fell quickly under the barrage, the pilot managing to flee the scene in their capsule while I tried to close to deal with one of the Wolves
This was where the folly of playing my entire hand on a specialised set up but employing it solo became apparent. The Wolf pinned me down well out of the range of my guns with a webifier. While I was barely able to scratch his shields with the odd lucky shot, he and his remaining wingman tore me apart with artillery, my pod quickly following. Oh well live and learn, or not as the case may be: specialising for a particular situation may be good when you have wingmates fitted out for a number of roles, but a bad idea when youÆre on your own and donÆt know what youÆll face.
I suppose being a newbie has some advantages, my replacement clone proved to be comparatively cheap. Having lost the cheap implants I was using to try to take the bite off getting my learning skills out of the way, I had little to loose, so I jumped into a Rifter Id cached earlier to have another goà
Overall it was certainly interesting to have a first real taste of pvp, however inevitable the outcome was going to be. I look forward to future engagements, that is while I can afford Rifters and clones.

Just expanding this. You guys should actually start alliance for newbie corps, since there is a lot of these around. These corps could learn from eve university and same time stay as own corp and maybe after awhile leave the alliance when they have "graduated".

Talk about the masses handling this war the wrong way. Calling EVE-U a bunch of noobs is really an insult. They have teachers too you know. Judging by the responce it seems Huff has won this battle already before even setting foot on the field. Great support from the community there. Diss Huff then Diss Eve-U for being helpless. Good comments, I tell you what.
Anyways, I wish Huff the best of luck in whatever they are doing. Newbies or not, noone seems to care when big alliances like BoB smack down on someone just for being there. Same goes for every other indust/mining corp that gets a war dec on them from a unknown corp. So why care now?

What you should of had done is play them at their own game and Never declare war with your corp. and have an Alt Corp to Declare War on their Ore Griefer Corp, that way they would of never known it was you, just like when you did not know they were the Ore Griefer Corp.
They hide behind alts so can you.
Think about it, no one is going to be an Ore Griever full time. They always have their real Characters they play. When they want to do something that will cause a Corp to War Dec them they use a one character Alt Corp.

I see that many people have criticized Huff Technologies, a corporation of seasoned veterans, for declaring war on Eve University, a corporation supposedly devoted to education of new pilots. And yet none of these same people have found anything wrong in Eve University, with its 250+ members, declaring war on our one member honest hauling corporation. Shame on you! Has your hypocrisy no limits?
It is this unprovoked and cowardly attack by Eve University against the 'little man' that has exposed them for the evil that they truly are. I applaud the brave men and women of Huff Technologies for their courage to defy public opinion by fighting evil even when it wears the mask of respectability.

Hmmmm...
I've had a thought.
If I were still running Huff, and wanted lots of juicy targets, what would I do?
Would I declare war on lots of rich corps and fight them ...
... or, would I declare on someone like EU, and wait for everyone to rush to their aid, providing me with free wars?
Gah, I wish I'd thought of it.
Actually, I considered it once. ______________________________________________
