Foos thoughts
Empire is a big place and its easy to get lost.
250 noobs is still 250 noobs.
Real men and women fight in 0.0, and leave empire to the kiddies.
This thread should be locked.

I dont see what the problem is... look at that dude that wrote that story. Remember when you uber leet pvpers first started off pvping? Did anyone else get shakey when they got there first kill? Because that dude enjoyed himself even if he lost a ship, which is the whole point of a game, enjoyment. And that one little experience of pvp will keep him and probably all the guys in eve-uni playing for a long time. Top marks to the guy taking on three huff ships. and a side note to all the - omg huff are lame no respect for huff. who gives a crap? Hope you guys have fun.

Again, many thanks for the support. We've had some skirmishes which mostly went their way but I think we all learned from it so with every defeat our victory is getting closer. I especially want to thank everyone who has offered/will be/already is fighting on our side.
The golden bar on this topic might be because it was moved from general discussion?

Morning Maniac, Omber Zombie. I have watched EU from afar for awhile and think it's great what you guys do. You guys are right, from the surface it's a involuntary training exercise. The older guys get to brush up and the new guys get thier hands dirty. Win-Win if you ask me.
We can all point to HUFF as a bunch of griefers of whatever. I believe alot of it stems from the stigma that HUFF has been one of the long term "Hostile" PvP corps. They're just a bunch of guys playing the game the way they want.
While I'm not here to say "HUFF U rock! Kick some EU a55!" and i'm also not here to say "Poor EU getting picked on by the big bad pirates!". Lets see what comes of it. I mean if you want to help EU then war dec HUFF. I'm sure they'd enjoy the added PvP value. Maybe if the heat gets too hot they'll retract the dec and get out of the "kitchen". Who knows, in the end situations like this make EVE fun and shows how cool EVE truly is.

Edited by: Kantar on 06/10/2005 00:09:04 I suppose lame and pathetic come to mind.
War with no purpose, no honor and no brain.
To who ever wanna help EU just send them frigs and fitting with isk for clone, dont give HUFF more target thats what they after, see if some big corp go to the rescue so that they can have a free war.
From what i saw you guys in EU are cool and i wish that you can win few battles.

My corp ALMPC sucessfully delivered 30 frigates and our surplus ammo to EU. We hope it can be put to good use.
Our thoughts are with EU who have remained quite honourable during this difficult time.

As i mentioned in the other thread Huff wardeced us too a few weeks ago. Our corp is similar to EU in that the majority of our guys are 2 to 3 month old chars (I'm 3 months old, over 2/3 of my skills in learning). However we are smaller than EU.
So basicly it looks like Huff are going round rens and empire showing how great they are by picking on small newbie corps. I'm so impressed.
And for the record They recinded their decleration after we basily scattered and hid, as we were allready reeling from the other war we were fighting.
But peace riegns now, so all is good :)

I dont understand the problem here. If EVE-U is doing nothing but mining they are missing more than half (and the best part) of this game.
Somehow I figure that quite a few of their members will end up leaving soon after this war ends with the desire to pursue the combat/PVP portion of EVE and will have more experience under their belt bacause of it.
This is a game guys, might as well have fun playing it. Veldspar is boring.

Um whats so wrong with this? Gets all those eve-u players into the pvp world and not the carebearing world.

As mentioned before, we are not just miners.
The problems with actions such as this, is that some members do not wish to fight other players. They are happy learning how to trade, or run production queues or gang mine ( ). To top it off, some players are under a week old. What do you expect them to do? Ram you in their velators?
There are a few that are interested in pvp, but you are forcing it upon them. This is like a professional athlete challenging a high-school kid to race him. Yes the kid may have a chance, if say the athlete tears a muscle or something while running, but 99 times out of 100, the athlete will win.
I will ask this question again since a few of your members are posting here: Why have you declared war on us? -----------

Uh....is that a joke?
PvP has got to be the most boring thing in this game. Seriously, I'd much rather go mow lawns or something do PvP.
On the other hand, carebearing is awesome in Eve. It's nerve-racking, and intense. I love it.

Ok, first of all I would like to thank the few Huff members that I have encountered for not smack talking and actually be able to have a normal conversation with us.
So I have talked to one of their members and (s)he made it quite clear that they won't hold back even on our newest members. And that IS the problem I have with this war. It will be fun for those who figured out where the overview is, how to lock and activate guns. We often get guys who only just finished the tutorial, for them to get shot every time they undock is a bit demotivating.
Anyway, thanks for all the support, it's great for morale! If I'm not responding quick to evemails or convos do realize I seem to have many of both going on atm, even more then usual :)

Originally by: Bandit24 Brother if you run out of rifters and clones and want to continue the fight just hail me in space ill supply you with ships and clones... i am also glad you seem to have enjoyed your first taste of PvP..
In my oppinion Eve-U new players should benefit after this , not every1 gives u the chache to taste the wonderfull life of pvp at no cost or little at least, offering u ships and all , it's a oportunity i bet u won't get to often.
why not try and see what happends even if there's little chance of succes it will get u some of that experience that no fat wallet can give ya
I have no ideea who HUFF is (I am a noob as any eve-u player), nor do i know their plans but why not try and experiment, it can actually be fun u never know
This is my opinion at least edit:funky grammar

gee huff showing how big they are
i love pwning day old noobs who are trying to learn their warps from their impulse.
pretty sad tbh.
anyhow i recomend using the opertunity to kick theyre ass in noob ships. if you think this cant be done, i sugest visitng the bob board.
u may have a bit of fun out of it too.
only other thing i sugest is that you start a fund asking people for doations towards hiring teh mc to truely bring some pain to huff tech.
as you are a non profit organiazation who activly helps out others im sure ull recive alot of support in terms of isk towards hirign them. just let me know where to send my donation too!

My main concern is that Huff may keep this up until Eve Uni is ultimately destroyed.
If we lose what little player created groups and events EVE will suffer.
Huff you have proved your point let the Uni get back to helping the new players!

When i first heard about the war, i was kinda shocked myself at the decision. But i dont think its that bad an idea, last night we had such a great battle with the eve-u guys, more so than the 'pvp' corps that we have deced in recent times. Top marks to the Teachers of eve-u your doing a great job.
