I am in the east coast USA and I have very reliable cable internet. I cannot log into Tranquility.
I just called my brother who is still in game with no problems. He says that I am still logged in.
Thankfully, I was just browsing contracts while docked when the socket closed on me. Something
is awry with the client and not with the networking as far as I am concerned. |

have you guys ever heard that anyone would have got compensaced for a shiploss caused by this socket closed issue ? couse i really hope i will ! i played this game since 2004 but this is my absolutely last day if they dont sort me out on this |

Like others this is "Socket Closed" error is happening in intervals of 5-30mins to me. Again only after the Downtime yesterday (06/03).
I've re-installed EVE, Rebooted router, re-installed network card, checked open ports, updated GFX drivers, etc etc yet it makes no difference.
Very rarely did I ever get this error up until the downtime after the DDoS attack yesterday. Its not my ISP, Computer, EvE client or network.
I tried changing the port to 3724 and still no Joy.

I to have been getting this issue i am pretty new but i subed before the retribution pack and never had this once. After that was deployed i get it all the time. Ive lost 3 mining barges because of this idk how to fix it as im not good with the technical stuff hahaXD. But why hasn't a dev posted here we pay for this we should be seeing some sort of reply. |

Socket closed twice in a pvp situation since the patch, and around 15 times around that. In the end, 0.5bil lost, staying away until this has been fixed. |

Yeah this happening several times in a session for me-every day since new launcher was implemented.I can have clients closing-1 will stay up.Lost a few ships so far because of it.
I want to think the problem is at my end but-meh-so many comments on forums-several corpmates having same issue-i see a Hiatus from Eve on the horizon =\ |

Had this problem two or three times today, decided to completly clean my router and no such issues yet.
Have only played for like ten minutes but still better then before. Just a fyi

i started having this problem right after the new launcher came out. i was getting socket closed a few times a day. since i logged in this morning i have been unable to stay online for than 10-15 minutes before i get socketed outta game.
if you can't fess up to the it's your fault then give us a option or game credit for the unused part.
worthless just to login and watch my skills. cant undock, mine, missions, ratting |

and for those of you on multiple accounts, once the 1st one goes down the rest will usually follow within a minute or so. you may want to try and use that time to run the heck to a safe port if you can.

Socket Closed Again and again and again. Haven't done anything but what your launcher wants -as much as I hate that thing too. All this started just after this 1.0.1. Oh and had the perpetual Black Screen on Undock from 1.0, but that seems to be working once again. Thanks for that atleast.
I've never had this problem before 1.0.1 Odyssey, so wth? |

Same here. I'm currently in space. After login ship warps to the gate, but once there it does not respond to any commands, and client throws "Socket was closed" after a few seconds. It's happening every time I log in, since I've undocked after Odyssey patch. |

Has anyone managed to figure out a solution to this problem, i log in from the launcher it gets to the char screen then before the characters load i get socket closed and i'm back at the launcher. Can't even log in atm |

The game started to react slowly, I got socket closed message but eve did not closed as it used to be. I managed to
dock, character skill panel was not responding anymore.
After restarting the game, the login box was missing from Eve Launcher :) TQ was showing online and the number
of people i just had no login box.
So, I played some other game for a while, and when i checked again in a couple of hour the login box showed up.

Central FL checking in with same problem I'm on Brighthouse ISP every 60 mins or so I get socket closed and booted from game. Started happening on Monday night/Tuesday morning. |

Random "Socket Closed" errors for me now for the past 2 or 3 days.
3 different accounts all with same issue. No issue on any other MMO.
No packetloss on internet connection. No problems with router on either wireless or physical.
Seems random times mostly but notice an increase in socket closed error when about to jump through a gate... or dock in station.
