If you tried to launch client, something failed, error messages AAAAAAAAAH 2.) http://cdn1.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/release/EVEOnlineLauncher_2_1_539169.exe download the file and execute it. 3.) Make sure you answer NO to the question about where to install the launcher update. Just so you verify that you point it to the actual place you have installed your Eve Online to. I had installed my Eve Online to custom location and the launcher fixer still pointed to C:/Program Files... 4.) After submitting the launcher "fix" in to your current Eve Online install folder, goto that folder. 5.) Launch "eve.exe" from the root folder itself (Make sure on Windows that you Right Click->Run as administrator) 6.) Launcher sorted itself out from here, validating client next and then let me to login. These steps sorted my problems completely. After a little digging it looks like it didn't update my eve launcher shortcut on my desktop. I went into my Eve directory and grabbed the launcher shortcut from there and now it is working just fine.

Everyone should make sure they launch the binary file itself straight from the folder and not use shortcuts. The patch there is from CCP itself and it's the same package that comes from patch server itself. Just hang tight then, CCP will fix this eventually through they're own patch server. I just saw need to write this here so people don't need to petition everything. Also, once the new launcher works for you and you login, all settings are reset essentially. You can however run your eve.exe and have all your old settings and shortcuts as they were....
