Also, after the blank Launcher comes up, Firefox opens up to the Open DNS website with this in the search bar:

I don't even use Steam.

I downloaded the launcher update but the launcher still says that I'm not connected with the Internet and I need to restart my launcher.
Nothing of the in this thread mentioned things worked. |

I was able to launch directly without the launcher via a shortcut on my desktop.
I haven't tried to patch it yet though.

Run the patcher another time without launching the game and it should fix it. This lets you in the game and does not fix the patcher...

The guide didn't help. Patch applied to right place. All instructions followed to the letter. I just get the launcher coming up saying it's in offline mode. Can't even get eve to launch by going straight to the exe in the bin folder. |

Updated the first post, there seems to be multiple problems for people. Most important is to not to use old shortcuts on desktop or wherever and start straight from bins (exe files)

The fix in this thread did not help. I attempted to install it using the instructions and it still did not function as intended. I am using the following fix to get in:
***ATTENTION*** -- TEMPORARY FIX
Repair and play.
1) C:\CCP\EVE\repair.exe
1a) If the repairer fails - re-run multiple times until it completes.
2) C:\CCP\EVE\bin\ExeFile.exe
The game should load and let you connect without issue..
DO NOT under any circumstances re-run the patcher or this will break and you will have to do it over again.

Note - This took me about 5 minutes for the repairer to run.

This. As of 11:00 AM CST Eve Launcher still says "Offline Mode".

You said you updated the steps. I tried again and it fails.
My way keeps working. I dunno what else to do. See, after I run the "patcher" (which reads my registry installation and goes to C:\CCP\EVE (ccps new installation path I guess) -- it auto runs the patcher and it won't work.
Even "run with administrator" doesn't work. I'm running Windows 7...
Edit:
Running repairer works, to get in game.. Running launcher will fail over and over and break eve again. |
