EFT has been a great help for me to better understand the fitting mechanics and its fun to play around and come up with better fittings for my ships all the time. I especially like the DPS graph that helps me to understand the effect of various modules on my applied DPS. There is one feature however that I am missing and which lets me switch back and forth between EVE and EFT while I am doing my fittings. That is the compare tool in EVE where you can compare stats for similar modules. It would be fantastic if EFT would have a similar feature. Since you already got all data in the tool, the only thing missing would be a compare window to show it. Keep up the good work! Best regards, Erik

For some reason the claymore is showing a base speed without any modifiers of 21 m/s... The only thing i did differently last night was have it set as a fleet booster for itself and other ships, i hadn't been doing this before yesterday. Maybe closing the program while having it set that way screwed up in speed? Maybe other stats are screwed too just not as obviously?

I don't feel like it would be useful for most players: progression of T1 => Meta1-3 => Meta4 and T2 => Faction => Deadspace/Officer is pretty much the same for all modules and once you get a gist of it you don't need such extensive comparison options. "Base speed" would be one you read from Show Info window opened from Fitting Panel once you find Claymore there. And it can't be 21 m/s and you can't screw it up in any way as EFT never writes to the files where this data is contained. So I assume you have some setup opened and if it still shows you such speed even after you restart EFT it must be because of something you have fitted... like a cloak maybe. Provide a screenshot it you still can't figure it out. Try "Force high-color icons" option in Preferences. Also if you run on 16-bit color depth try switching to 32-bit. To Almost29: There are no plans currently for auto update of any kind.

To get a fit as a text you don't need to open any files: there is "Copy to clipboard" command in the setup menu (one which appears when you click downward arrow to the left of the new setup button). Regarding the files: if they would not be created you'd lose your setups. If you don't miss any (and I doubt it's possible to save OK for some while fail for others) you've probably just couldn't find those files among the rest or something. Shutting down your PC without closing EFT first won't save anything. Other reason could be read-only access to the folder where you put EFT in. First off, I'm wondering about the "rating" that sometimes shows up while your fitting your ship. sometimes there is a number, sometimes there is not; and it doesn't really correlate with improved stats. So I don't know what that is for. Secondly, the whole import/export thing; it doesn't work. I saved my fittings on my home computer with the all xml option, then I bring them to work. It doesn't matter where I put the file, I cannot get xml manager to see it, let alone bring it in to EFT. Good concept, but really poor execution on standard application functionality and lack of good documentation. It's driving me crazy that I cannot open my setups that I saved from home - a very simple operation I would think.
