Look Ma, i can post without flaming!
Last night, we didnt go to Curse to engage M. Corp or any of The Five guys. Contrary to your belief, the EVE universe does not revolve around you.
We were in fact hot on the heels of a Veritas fleet which was travelling to DSS-EZ in Stain, as part of their helping ASCN deal. They did the same Monday night but we couldnt organise anything in time to go after them. Tonite, we got there just in time.
Yes we did pass through Curse and HLW/VOL but we werent there for you. After playing with Veritas for an hour or so in and around DSS, they docked without any engagements, and it was getting late so i turned us around to take us home. On the way back our scout bumped into you guys in HLW. After getting the numbers, you had 8 BS and about 20 support. We had about 15 BS and 4-5 support.
Basically, engaging that much support when jumping in with long range fleet setup BS did not interest me very much, so i turned us around and we went to Agil to dock and log for the night
Please explain to me where we logged ONCE, let alone twice, as Glassback of M. Corp claims? We were not interested in suiciding into your fleet that was support heavy with our Range heavy BS fleet. Call me cautious if you want, i know i am, but dont try and paint it like we logged off due to your uberness. We didnt log off until we got to Agil (we lost one or two on the way that couldnt stay on any longer)
I was FC for all of last night. My fleet was active from 19:30 -> 23:30 EVE Time where we logged in Agil. Please explain to me where + when we logged? Oh and please stop thinking you are the centre of the universe. We are contracted to shoot Veritas, that is my primary concern. You guys are of no interest unless you present yourselves to me in a number im happy to engage. Oh and dont disagree with me, what i wrote here is fact
I dont know why i feel the need to justify my and the rest of the MC's actions to people, but i find you calling us loggers offensive

I seen there fleet and they had a lot (6+) EW ships and 4 bubbles on the gate.
It was a lovley camp and you would not have lasted lond had you jumped in, so I think you did the respectfull thing and not commit suicide.
Let's face it. MC don't have anything to prove.

Well, it's nothing to do with thinking i'm uber, I was there and got spanked in New Caldari.
The fleet received info that you logged from our forward scouts, so one of us is wrong. I've nothing against chosing not to engage, only the method of avoidance.
If you did log, boo to you. If you did'nt and our intel was wrong, boo to me.

G, you making a post on EVE-O about this was unnecessary. Period. However, since you did, I support Eye's right to give a public reply.
You've been cordial enough in the past and had you simple opened a convo with someone in the MC asking, "Hey, where you guys going?" all of your questions could have been answered in a much less tree-shaking fashion.
From what I've heard, Eye was 100% correct not to jump in on you. We might have jumped in and even won the fight, but his crew had already gone 50+ jumps chasing after V for little result and, as was stated, we're not being paid to voluntarily risk losing ships to you right now.
BTW, it was already after midnight for a lot of people who had to go to work the next day. Lucky for me, my DSL crapped out and I missed all of the 'action'.

Agreed, Tree. We respect M Corp and wish for that to remain mutual. However, TBH your man started it and we have a right to respond. Not flame, but respond.

Quite true my friend. However, since it was your member (Glassback) who came here first and "smack talked" my alliance and my fleet last night, so i felt the need to set the record straight. I respect M. Corp, more than the other Five corps, and have no desire to get into a slagging match with you. I did however, feel the need to post what actually did happen
And yes Glassback, your scout was completely wrong. The first time we passed through HLW we did it extremely quickly due to the fact that the Veritas fleet was already 4-5 jumps ahead of us and we needed to catch up. Maybe next time we will stop to have tea and biscuits with you . On our way back i didnt like the look of your fleet so we went to Agil and logged there.
Im not a fan of logging fleets in hostile territory. As most of 0.0 is hostile to us most of the time i chose not to log us in 0.0, but instead head to Empire if i can

My original post was made in haste and a case of "fingers before brain", along with the frustration of fighting RA who DO employ these tactics.

So just to clarify you are saying at no time did you log in VOL even maybe 5 minutes to take a dump and get a drink maybe? You ran away back to empire instead?

Nope, cos if we had, we would have lost the Veritas fleet on the way south, and on the way home i wanted to get away from your 20 support as fast as i could
As i said, my fleet was active from 19:30 through to 23:30 where we logged in Agil. One or two people in the fleet may have dropped off on the way home and stuff but the fleet as a whole never once logged until we got to Agil

I just wanted to clarify exactly what happened, there is logging off for the night and there is logging for a few mins cos you are in a sticky situation a bit like the PA guys did that were in KLMT the other night when they were outnumbered.

Eyes and Seleene, ive been down there a few times and if you dont gate out of the gate they are camping then they say you logged.
simple as that, its standard smacktalk procedure for the 5.
