Patch notes says: "All current jobs in rented slots are have been ejected." I dont really have anything against that. But if all the materials were returned and jobs forced complete - that's sucks donkey ass.
I would like to hear official statement from CCP.

Hopefully CCP are on the case "behind the scenes" and a few people will enjoy christmas with a 10 billion ISK deficit wallet.

Would sure want to hear an officiall statement about this from CCP. I thought CCP were all working to make this game fair, and they do something like this (if its true)? To all of you that whine about people that thinks this is un-fair, you are probably carebears who never been in a war. We are not talking about a simple cruiser or something here, it is actuall Dreadnoughts thats on the table. There are probably many corps out there working their asses of to afford ships like this and then some just gets them for free, just like that. This is not right (if it's true).

Cheap freighters? Where? I might be able to fly an obelisk, but buying one is still so far outside my budget it's not even funny.

so great a nice big christmas bonus for those who already have enough to build a freighter and a dreadnought.
Thanks ccp. Widen that gap, and why dont you give out free titans while your at it?

Wow, why do i bother trying to earn isk when some people are being effectively given hundreds of billions of isk.
Maybe CCP will notice when eve's market crashes out of control and the TQ server becomes like the test server- where nothing really matters and everyone has dreds or titans and then the entire game lags up to the point where noone can play and we all whine for a refund on all the money we ever spent building up our characters.

I got a SLIGHTLY reduced cost ship...but I only had a day or two left on the build so didn't really make much of a diff.
To be fair you could have taken MUCH more advantage of it and set up a job on a frieghter/dread etc for a 1 level ME which would have saved over 6+ weeks and in the long term would have been a LOT more cost effective than getting a free/cheaper ship built.
To flip it on it's head what would have happned if ALL jobs got ejected...
ME/PE research lost/mins lost etc.
You can make some of the ppl happy some of the time but you can't make all of the ppl happy all of the time.
Life is unfair! Why make a game that is supposed to mirror real life (in a sci fi kinda un real way) fair?
Live with it....if I had not benifited from this I wouldn't be fussed. You have not lost anything and it's not as if the vast majority have benifited either it is a TINY proportion of the eve community.
I'll wager MANY MANY more benifited to some degree with the hundreds of thousands of jobs/copies/research that was goin on NOT just frieghters and dreads.
The have nots always want and the haves always want more.....

Wrong.
Influx of free money into game is not good. Next time some people exploit and it goes unpunished because you can't please everyone. Fix this..

The funniest thing is some of the people whinning here that producers got a unfair advantage by getting free ships due to the industry/research makeover, happen to be the same that bought loads of Control Tower's before the patch to gain from reselling them after patch when npc prices magically quadrupled...
Don't forget to whine to yourself first for profitting from the patch before complaining about others...

The thing CCP did was:
They forced the completion of the current batch run, not all runs, and they returned the rest of the mins!!!
So no free stuff, just faster production time!

That's why i would like to hear an official response from CCP. I think we deserve it. I don't belive they just gave everyone free stuff. It's not their style.
Kieron, where are you?

heh.. woud be quite bad as i got no free stuff
but yelling for gm/dev wont help much, dont expect kieron or even oveur to answer on the forums (although they do quite often, what makes ppl think they GOTTA do it)
a gm/dev is normally contacted thru a petition

Thats what I thought too. Another Chinese whisper. Unless a bug forced the return of all of the original minerals used to make the run that was force-completed. Fairly simple thing to audit I expect.

The person I spoke to, said they got the minerals back as well, they got the item for FREE, thats the entire point of the thread.
He is stupid to admit this, since it makes him more likely to have it taken away if/when they decide to rectify this bug, so I doubt he was lying. He had nothing to gain and lots to lose by saying this.
EDIT: Will someone that got stuff completed for free please be honest and post here telling us? At least with an alt.

If the IRS was to hand my neighbour 1 mill dollars for no real reason i would kick them both in the face. Whichever oif them tries to say 'life isnt fair' would get stabbed with a knife.
If the OP is right, CCP is supporting exploiters which is bad, its not 'unfair', its bad... ------------------

I saw a gold bar on one of the topics about the cancel button iirc. As for the control towers, it wasnt a scrw up, it was a nerf not mentioned in the patch notes to prevent people from buying control towers before right before patch day. ------------------

Its a screw up in many peoples eyes, not jsut because people just got free isk, but because its effectivly knocked small corps out of the POS game.

While I may agree with your points on PoSs, please try to stay on topic here, thanks.
TOPIC is: Free dreads and freighters for certain random people and those that planned on a CCP bug in implementation and exploited the bug... and what, if anything, CCP is going to do about it.

Well dunno about small corps being knocked out, small towers cost what, less then 100 mill under the new prices?
Thats less then 10 mill per player if youve got a 10 person corp, if they cant gather that they prolly dont have the ships required to defend their POS or run it for that matter. ------------------
