I just want to confirm that PBLRD stands for PubLord, or Pubbie Lord, not unlike Shitlord, the term you often use to describe posters that you do not like.
In other words, every renter wears a derogatory term as their ticker.
Why? Because it is the only way you could sell it to goons.
Nice way to treat "partners" |

Some quality quotes from Reddit you may want to read before you consider:
Quote:One other issue that people haven't noticed is the requirement that you move any upgrades you want installed, yourself. I dunno if any of you have ever looked at ihub upgrades, but they're not tiny. After Level 2, you need a JF. To get Level 5 upgrades, you need a full Freighter. So if any of their renters want to invest 250mil to get a top-tier pirate detection array, for example, they will have to figure out a way to get a freighter out to their system. Last time I checked, most rental corps don't have bridging titans.
Quote:No jammer covered systems. No escalation travel without posting in local first. No defense assistance pledge against roamers and hotdroppers. No pursuing roamers who streak in and out of your space (because if you leave your ghetto in a combat ship the CFC will blap you immediately and without warning). No regional market access.

Why should anyone rent from you if you're not willing to let them use CSAAs, Charge Inane prices. Your basically only getting half a system. Stop being pussies and either stop renting or fully commit to this and make your renters happy you don't even have to defend the CSAAs |

So how were those posts breaking the rules? Goons scam, it's a fact. They revolve around scams.
One post wanted to get the results of the scam when they were in.
Scam and respectful? How does that work.

I'm sorry does renting have a magically different meaning in eve than it does everywhere else?
when i've rented a house i sure as **** haven't considered my landlord a "partner" in any way shape or form. I give him money, he provides me with a product and/or service (depending on how you look at it) that makes me a customer.
why that should be any different in eve to outside of eve i don't know. |

So that's a thread.
Anyway, as someone in charge of this, I'd like to pop in and say one minor bit.
If you're interested in the program but are (very reasonably, I must admit) concerned that it is a scam, contact a diplomat first. They can be found in the Goonswarm Federation alliance description. The nature of their position means they're forbidden from scamming, as shockingly enough, diplomacy is a Hard Thing To DoGäó if no one trusts you. Just a few weeks prior to this starting up, they'd have told you "Goonswarm does not rent space"; now they'll refer you to one of us.
If the word of one of the diplomats isn't enough then, well, I guess you can wait a few months and let others test the waters. Over a dozen corporations are already doing so. Member of the Goonswarm Economic Warfare Cabal |

mynnna wrote:If the word of one of the diplomats isn't enough then, well, I guess you can wait a few months and let others test the waters. Over a dozen corporations are already doing so. But what can you do with nullsec once you move into your own system? Well...
- Station systems: These are systems with stations much like you are used to, keeping you from having to store ships in POS's like wormholers do.
- Ice anomalies: As you know, ice belts have been removed from the game, replaced with anomalies that are easily accessible to all, but once consumed take four hours to respawn. If you think the highsec ice that some of our fellows are disrupting as part of the current interdiction are good, you really should try actual nullsec ice: our anomalies have iceteroid variants with higher percentages of nitrogen isotopes than you can find in empire space. Moreover, CCP is balancing ice anomalies so that 20% of the universe's projected supply comes from null--interdiction or no, that means your ice anomalies, which are reserved for your corp's exclusive use, will be worth more, hour per hour, than anything in highsec.
- Asteroid anomalies: The more a sov null system is mined, the more, and larger, asteroid anomalies can be found therein--and, again, we have variant asteroids with higher percentages of the most lucrative stuff than you can find in empire. Unlike ice anomalies, asteroid anomalies respawn almost immedately, so park your Orca or Rorqual in a POS and fire up the strip miners!
- Planetary Interaction (PI): I make nearly hundreds of millions of ISK a week doing PI in nullsec. You can too--and you won't have to pay the taxes I do! Without getting bogged down in details, I can safely say that any POCO your corp installs will pay for itself within a week. PBLRD does not charge extra for rare planets, such as plasma,
- Ratting: Some systems are improved (and most any system can be improved) to bring you a constant stream of pirates in anomalies. A competent ratter can bring in a million isk a minute while steadily improving their security standing. Unlike many alliances, including some CFC alliances, PBLRD isn't charging a ratting tax.
- Industry: Whether it's in a station system or in your corp's own POS, you'll never have to compete with anyone else for research and manufactory slots when you have a piece of nullsec to call your own!
Best of all, you can enjoy all the benefits of sov null life while having to deal with relatively few of the responsibilities, simply by paying our reasonable monthly rates.
We're all more than aware of the reputation goons have earned over the years, and I'm not going to say it's not well-deserved. So, if you're interested in what the CFC's rental program has to offer, but are hesitant to deal with goons, why not talk to me? TNT has the longest concurrently held sovereignty in all of New Eden, and the systems that we'll be opening soon in Tribute will border directly on our space. I, for one, would be delighted to make, and meet, some new neighbors. |

Shows us on this wallet doll where the mean goons scammed you.
Really though, goonswarm is about members scamming, not the alliance. As much as TEST and N3 might want to convince you goons break agreements and back stab, goons treat their friends very well (hint: go talk to fa, razor, li3, gents, etc). If the alliance leaders make a deal like this, they mean it.
The number one thing all the npc corp pubbies don't seem to understand is making isk, that is what everything is all about. Goon members scam because there is no way to make money off random pubbies any other way. Why would the leaders make this into a scam? At most they will get a month of isk from a few corps. However, a legit rental scheme will earn then hundreds of billions for an indefinite amount of time.
Goons like their isk and a way that makes as much as renting is too good to pass up, that's why this couldn't be a scam.
