Since we've had some time to play with the new HACs what verdict have people arrived at?
Personally the cerb feels a little underwhelming but the deimos feels good. Haven't tried an eagle since the rebalance but doubt that it was improved very much.
Also does anyone have a good cerb fit? I can't form one that I'm satisfied with. Deimos is a blast to fly, Cerb is excellent in small gangs with RLMLs fitted, the Ishtar is a fantastic sentry-kiter, and the Vaga can do some cool things. Don't know much about the others. I wear my goggles at night.

The Sacrilege and Zealot are the same as they always have been... except the Sac has been buffed a bit making it just a bit more effective in small brawling scenarios.
And the Ishtar... mmm... very flexible and worth having in any small gang. It can brawl with the best of them and shoo off kiters and snipers when necessary. Change isn't bad, but it isn't always good. Sometimes, the oldest and most simple of things can be the most elegant and effective. |

Here is a nice tier list for you:
God Tier:
Ishtar / Cerb
Cerb does well as pure anti-tackle / anti support as well for those peski ewar cruisers / frigs. Amazing ship Ishtar has more DPS to bring than the cerb, another great pick.
Good Tier:
Diemos
Deimos is good at what it does. Shield rail diemos is still pretty good
Meh Tier:
Vagabond / Munin
Vagabond is bad because it uses auto cannons. Ship is just bad, unless you want a way to scram kiting ships.
**** Tier:
Zealot, Sac, Eagle |

ITT Chessur being of the opinion that brawling isn't a thing and that gangs with logistics aren't a thing.
All the HACs are in a pretty good place now, the Muninn is pretty niche and the Vaga has DPS projection issues but overall they are all good ships, I think the Sacs traditional dual rep role is better served by the Deimos these days but its excellent in a Logi supported gang as heavy tackle and secondary DPS, the Zealot is again a good gang ship both in Armour gangs and as Anti-Support in shield gangs.
The Eagle looks interesting on paper as a fleet rail platform but whether that applies in game I am unsure, the Muninn still has its niche arty role as I said but with ABCs kind of ******* that Meta a bit its hard to say and it may well end up under-used.
The Ishtar is pretty good but the derpyness of drones can make it a bit of a pain, however its never the less a very powerful platform, the dual-rep Deimos is an absolute beast.
The Cerb is an amazing HAM and RLML platform for solo and gang, RLMLs being so good in general making the RLML Cerb very versatile and potent, probably to the point where RLMLs are in need of a bit of a nerf. |

Either way zealots are really bad, and are out performed by Nomens for solo / small gang and fleet. If you want to compare some fits, please start coughing up numbers, because a zealot is not getting 2X EHP. Infact the Nomen and zealot have extreamly simmilar base EHP. So please stop spouting the bullshit.
The zealot is outperformed by the nomen in the AHAC role and most certainly in the small gang / solo role, 100%. Run the numbers. |

The Zealot has a substantially smaller signature, unless of course you fly them with ABs. Also ~40% more laser DPS at the same range is nothing to scoff at.

Dual rep and you can tank things very comfortably while chewing them up, my only complaint is that I need to pack so many different kind of missiles ^^ I don't like the Sac as much for this these days. Deimos just does the Dual Rep thing better IMO, its still good as a gang ship though, and probably solo although cant say I've soloed in one recently.
I use below. Gives me more optionality compared to the Deimos. There have been plenty of engagements I would have lost the Deimos in but did not because I had the option to kite whatever target. So I surivived more I suppose but that did not result in more kills that is failure of course. Rather lose the ship than not kill anything at times and I tend to do that for giggles more than often but the cost of the ship stops those tendencies. I have had an engagement where I had to tanki 5 tech-1 cruisers (Thorax Rupture and Vexor); another where there were 2 Ishtars and a Vengeance that I survived. There was another agianst 15 dudes in mix cruisers and frigates that I also surivived because I was dictating alot range at the beginging before fully commiting and prolonging things long enough to do what needed to be done. So I prefer it because it gives me options and I don't have to worry so much about tracking disruptors and tracking. I am able to do good damage to assault frigates like a Hawk and Vengeance forcing them to tank hard or explode. The neut and web helps ALOT against frigates. So, yeah! It's my prefered close range HAC atm. While I use the Cerberus for Skirmishing.
Note: in none of said engagements did I receive ANY FLEET BONUSES.

Nomen is still better. That increased speed + Sig will make a huge difference even while webbed and patined, when compared to the zealot. Cap is not an issue if you place a small booster. Having 5 Med drones makes the Nomen a superior choice. |

Well to fit hams, you are throwing away the absurd tank, and the speed. You also need a painter if you are planning to kite. If you are trying to brawl, you basically need to be in web range with web applied to do full damage to other cruisers (And if they are linked, you will stil not do full damage). So really its up to you. |

Just look at ship stats while linked. If speed is 160% of signature radius or higher, CN HAMs start losing damage. The very high DRF on HAMs means it's very close to a 1:1 ratio, speed at 320% signature is 50% damage, 640% is 25%, etc.
Just to demonstrate, a linked Scythe Fleet Issue with a Domi MWD and 2 nanos has a signature of 308m and goes 3444m/sec. It takes about 15% of EFT DPS from CN Scourge HAMs. Even if you web this ship, HAMs are still only doing 35-40% damage. If they overload their MWD, you can apply two webs and RLMs will STILL do more DPS than HAMs.
While HAMs can't even hit ABing battleships for full DPS, if you load precisions into your RLMs you can still do 100% of EFT DPS to a Scythe Fleet with links, titan bonus, and a full Halo set.
Skirmish links completely invalidate all missile systems bigger than RLMs, period. The Sacrilege is actually overpowered if noone has links, but becomes **** if everyone does. That's just what happens when you combine a speed increase with a sig reduction of that magnitude. |

SAC is not OP, not even close. It lacks a much needed low slot, and has no ship bonus for missile application. Its stuck using HAM's, and HAM's are so trash- shooting a linked or unlinked ship. |

Why are you fitting medium shield boosters to a cruiser, with out a cap booster and a medium core defense cap safeguard... I dont even... my eyes bleed. Faint warp disruptor? Come on man.... fit dual LSE and be done with it, and throw an anci in the rigs with a T2 EM screen |

Haha yes I thought that would be your conclusion. Neither of fits are real I just wanted to know your thoughts on viability of an active tanked cerb.
But even so those fits are nearly cap stable if you fit 3% cap implants. I have about 5 different cerbs and they're all configured differently Click here for LP store weapon cost rebalancing |

A dual EM screen reinforcer II + invul works too, although it takes a little more juice and links worse. Substitute a BCU for a nano if needed, and replace the web for a TP for large gang/fleet action. |

I fit one with loading bay ii and a t2 em rig to free up a mid and keep the deeps high.
I find the cerb meshes quite well with recons where you can get them. If someone brings a tengu though their performance outshines me quite a bit except foe fights in an enemies deep falloff thanks to 40km rage missilea Click here for LP store weapon cost rebalancing |

Active tank cerbs are amazing, RLML cerbs sport an XLASB. However a HAM cerb, can't hope to fit that type of tank. |

You can wedge a LASB/LSE on a Cerb without too much difficulty, its not got the same tank as an XLASB obviously but its handy as re-loading buffer never the less as long as you aren't tackled. |

in my flyings, zealot and ishtar are both excellent, munin is unsealable crap outside of the alpha fleet it was always good at and deimos is still mediocre in the extreme.
the kitey shield HACs are still utterly irrelevant because tier 3 battlecruisers exist. Stuck In Here With Me:-á http://sihwm.blogspot.com.au/ |

Amazing that the Ishtar is by far the most potent ship.
It can field frigate, cruiser and BS weapons, hits for 900+ ranged dps on shield fits and has a nice selectable damage type.
Compare it to everything else, even most T1 BS and it craps all over them.
Its a pvp/e beauty.
Amarr got one good ship - missiles. Cerb is good, Eagle is surprising. Deimos now good ... Munnin - crap, Vaga meh!
Truly minmatar got the ****** stick - seriously one trick crap. |

It's more an issue of the weapons they use rather than the ships themselves. If the vaga was a laser ship it would be superb. It's just stuck with ****** ACs or unviable arties. |

The worse hac is The zealot. Dont know how ccp tought it was OK. It has not been used for a logn time before the HAC rebalance.
It needs better fittings and some reduced mass ASAP.

5th bonus my ASS. It has same speed as the sttaber!!!
Your argument is same as saying the ishtar got extra bonuses because it has more drone bay. Or that the zealot got eztra bonus because it has more capacitor than the munin. "If brute force does not solve your problem..... -áthen you are -ásurely not using enough!" |

As of now there is no GOOD reason to use a Zealot. Good instant damage projection/application in scrimish with moderate to large sized fleet.
I agree that it is kinda bad. But everything is when compared to the mighty Isthar. |

Having 5 Med drones makes the Nomen a superior choice. But all of this talk is ponitless, because I feel that OP is probably solo / small gang. And in that arena, the zealot is completely outclassed by the Nomen. Thanks but, pretty sure that is how to properly fit a cerb. Its the same fit that turn left uses, and the one that I had discussed with TL before the ship was even released.
In regard to the "only way to fit a cerb"
remember the RnB track 21 seconds to go by so solid crew? With RLML its 53 seconds before i gotta go. |

I try so hard to love the Sacrilege. It looks so damn pretty!
The problem is that everything a Sac can do, a nano Cyclone can do better, for much MUCH cheaper.
Also, Chessur's Cerb fit is outdated by the new RLML changes. RLML cerb is far less potent now. |

Flying a cerb these days is definitely a ham affair. Pop a crash booster. load up your tank and fit for a good mix of endurance and punch. If things get really sticky I recommend a web at least to really drive that 700+ dps home. LP store weapon cost rebalance |

I flew one in Initiative fleets (before the rebalance). They were very effective then, now even moreso. The main weakness of Zealot was that the PG was so low, you pretty much needed AWU V to fly one. Nowadays, not so much. Oh god. |

I tried a HAM Cerb on sisi before it went live. It didn't have the tank to survive at close range vs other HACs. It was possible to fit it to kite to a certain extent. But then you were giving up on dps because of losing BCS for nanos.
I was not impressed.
However, those complaining about the damage application of HAMs need to train the damn application skills. They apply dps just fine thx.
As far as the others... Sac > Zealot in almost all ways, except that it relies on drones for a significant chunk of its dps.
Ishtar = nano + drone assist boat. That is all you need to know about that.
Deimos is a beastly brawler. Awesome dps. Awesome local tank. Full tackle. No serious cap issues. Can fight even under significant cap pressure/warfare.
The Eagle is a hard-counter to all large hybrids. Something about >90% resists and awesome damage projection. Toss in some EWAR support frigates and cheap logi and you're nearly untouchable. And as long as you can keep range, you can even snipe vs drone assist stuff. But, like most Caldari ships, it has really bad cap issues. So keeping range can be problematic.
So nice to see something besides winmatar and Angels when it comes to medium-sized ships.
