Edited by: Aula Persae on 29/04/2006 15:18:07 Edited by: Aula Persae on 29/04/2006 15:11:19 My current lvl4 solo setup :
6 x launchers 2 x heavy nos
1 x xlarge shield booster 3 x active hardeners 2 x cap rechargers
2 x pdus 3 x bcus
1 x heavy webber drone 4 x vespa ii's
All tech 2. I can solo any caldari navy lvl4 mission. Have to warp out once during the seven. And I learned the hard way to not touch the 6th deadspace(bonus level) ANGEL extrav lvl4. Gurista 6th deadspace = alot of dead gurista's though.
My old setup :
6 x cruise launchers 2 x 150mm railguns
1 x xlarge shield booster 1 x target painter 2 x active hardeners 2 x cap chargers
5 x pdus
5 x vespa iis
With that setup I could run the shield booster, painter, and active hardeners infinitely and my cap would idle at 35%. All tech 2, and the xlarge shield booster is a gistix xlarge shield booster. Only trade off is a considerable reduction in DPS. But with this setup I could solo anything including "the seven" missions. Only ran into trouble during one mission that I don't remember the name of. It had a 2.5mil bounty battleship as the boss that would recharge its shields faster than i could damage them.

Solo pvp:
6x Named or Tech II Cruise 2x Heavy Nos (best u can afford, dimi prefered because of low cpu needs)
1x XL Booster II (or CL5 if using t2 cruise launchers otherwise u will get cpu probs) 1x Shield Boost Amplifier 2x Invulnerbility Field II 1x Heavy Electrochemical Cap Injector (800's) 1x 20k Scrambler
3x PDU II (or 1x RCU II + DMG Control + Gravimetric Backup Array(I hate being jammed)) 2x BCU II
Drones:
2x Heavy Webber Drone + 5x Light Drones II or 2x Heavy Webber Drone + 2x Medium Drones II + 1x Light Drone II or 1x Heavy Webber Drone + 5x Medium Drones II
Webber drones to keep your target near you. Small drones to kill scrambling inties and frigs.

I have a couple of pve rigs I'm playing with atm:
Hi 2 x named heavy nos, 6 x siege launcher II
Med sens boost II, xlarge shield boost II, named boost amp, and 3 hardners - em, kin, therm (may try out 3 invuln's later)
Lo Co Pro II, RCU II, 2 x PDS II and a ballistic.
Drones 5 meds and 5 lights for those pesky friglets!
Personally I hate fitting co pro's so my other rig is identical except drop the co-pro II and RCU II and swap for 2 more PDS II's - but this means you can't bring the xlarge shield boost II online, so I swapped for a large shield boost II instead.
I don't think I'll post my PvP rigs - my fleet PvP rig ain't much different, coz I rely on others for tackling/ew etc, and to be perfectly honest Raven is not my ship of choice for solo PvP - I'd rather go with something a bit smaller and faster.

Okies here's my PvE setup, most of the time I do manufacturing and the like, but when I get bored of that I like to do a few lv 3 missions heres what I use:
Hi: 6x XT 9000 Seige Launchers 2x 125mm Railgun II
Med: 4x Shield Hardners (2 of each type of dmg i'll be up against) 1x Shield Boost Amp I 1x Xlarge C5-l Emergency Shield Overload
Low: 3x PDU II 2x BCU II
I've never had to warp out on any lv 3 mission. The setup isnt too bad on level 4 missions but i've only got a million sp's in missile skills so its quite a struggle, but like I said industry is my thing, im not a fighter. Good luck with it.

i tend to go no where near CPR's on a Raven and settle for an injector, ok, they run out but usually last you long enough to determine if you're going to live or die. Highs:
6 x Cruise II (i do love my torps, but with ECM what it is these days, i like being able to switch out to FoF at a moments notice) 2 x Heavy D NOS
Meds:
XL Shield booster II Shield Amp EM II 2 x Invul II Injector
Lows
3 x BCU's 1 x DCU and whatever else to fit it
Thats a nice tank right there, it'll keep you alive long enough. Bloody useless for fleet though. for fleet ditch the injector and put in a sensor booster, with all hardners running you might survive a heavy Alpha strike if your opponent is co-ordinated
Then you got the trusty ECM raven, a fav for pirates. I've never erally tried it due to rubbish ECM skills and about 5 Mill in engineering.

That's a good setup, except for the fact there is no such thing as a BCU. Or a PDU for that matter.
Try BCS and a PDS. And wtf is a DCU?
And it's not a case of "you say tomato...blah blah". |

Damage Control Unit.
And that is a nice setup. I prefer jamming, a bomb, and a plate though. I also quite like cap fluxes on a raven sometimes.

Cap flux net benefit is +10% cap recharge.
PDS net benefit is +10% cap recharge, +10% passive shield and +5% grid.
Both take 20 cpu.
There is no curcumstance where the flux is better.

How can you fit a setup like this? Even with engi 5 and advanced weapon upgrades 5 i need at least 4 pdu II's to have enough grid to fit all that. Am i missing something?

low slots:
1x Large Acco, 2x active hardener (expl and Kin / therm), 1x BCU, 1x PDU

You do realise that EVERYONE says BCU, or PDU. And if you don't know what a DCU is, maybe you shouldn't be handing out critiscsm.

I WILL %@Tat! No no, it works... It's a bit like the Burn Eden Raven, torps, ecm, stabs. Sad but it does the job.
BE get a lot of flack for using stabs but their lows aren't all filled with stabs to contrar belief. From what I've pieced together and from a short combat experience, here is as far as I can tell the current edition of the BE raven:
6 Siege Launcher IIs 2 Medium Energy Destabilizers
Either 3 Sensor Booster IIs 1 20km Scram 2 sensor Dampener IIs
Or 2 Sensor BOoster Iis 1 20km scram 3 Sensor Dampener IIs
Lows: 2 Ballistic Control IIs Medium Armor Rep II 1600mm Plate 1 WCS
Only 1 WCS
I'm Ex-Biomass, that makes me cool But now I'm KOS and it's all about the manlove

Regarding PDS, the cap recharge rate gain may be 5% but you have to take into account that PDS also increase your total capacitor, further improving per-second cap recharge. I don't know who's right or wrong in terms of accurate figures here and I don't wanna argue, I'm just chiming in to point something important out --- High quality pics of ALL EVE ships!
