Hmmm reckon goonfleet run around syndicate - we of legion pirate corp are yet to see u in KFR-ZE feel free to swing by and pay us a visit we need more targets and NORAD really doesnt provide any decent opposition
If u claim to be patrolling syndicate please patrol the entire length and come play with us we need some fun. Oh common goonfleet down ya come all the way to KFR-ZE.
CCP: requested feature please - quite simple really.
For CEOs, days since last login details on all members in their Corp. this will help manage inactives and those that dont log in can be removed. |

Goonfleet kinda makes me think off CLS when I started playing EVE. A big corp with loadsa new players. most came over from earth and beyond. Look where CLS is now. ASCN alliance and one of the biggest alliances.
My guess: Goonfleet will even be bigger and better for the simple reason that they didn't forget to show the fun part of PvP.
Took CLS 2 years, wonder how long it will take Goonfleet, b4 they kick out every1 from syndicate and claim it theirs.

Impossible. 6 months from now Goonfleet, Goonwaffe, and the additional splinter corps of Goonpancakes and Goonhoneymaplesyrup will wage a gigantic civil war leaving Syndicate strewn with frozen corpses and charred frigate hulls for years to come.

Is this a prediction or a plan? -------------- What good are actions if there's no one to tell the tale afterward?

Sides are already being taken in the Waffle vs Pancake debate and we havent even discussed toppings. There are many who feel it is only a matter of time before the Wafflers make a grab for power and banish pancakes forever.

Upper Syndicate is worthless to us due to crap mining, crap rats, crap agents, and too hard to defend. You're unlikely to see anyone up there but random GF people looking for ganks

Guys should do some merc work to, how cool would it be to hire a 1000 bees to zerg your enemies.
Also have you thought about getting into the protection racket? Move into someones home and camp them till they pay you to leave.
And yes, don't turn this into a BoB thread, we have to many that I have to spam in. Fear the Ibis of doom. |

Its good to see a corp make PvP more accessible to the new folks, and bring a new generation of fighters to eve.
Lots of new folks want to give pvp a try but most corps available restrict members to 8+ million sp minimum or the corps are carebear corps with little or no pvp. Dont just complain, do something. Channel macrointel meet with likeminded folks, spottings, intel |

Dear CCP: Take a good look at how many new accounts that actually stick around for months or more Goonfleet has brought in due to the fact one of the main goals of the corp is a major crash course in how to have fun with EVE even if you are a day old newbie-- something EVE definately lacks for most new players. Please give us Soverignity skill. Having two corps is lame
Plus I would like to thank the vast majority of non-GF people in this thread for making this one of the better Goonfleet-related eve-o threads in quite a while!

on an allience to allience basis, goonfleet(i'm including goonwaffe as goonfleet because they are essentially the same in one) is not a threat to anyone. but 2-4 months from now, 1000+ active players with the ability to suicidaly fly a disposable t1 cruiser or BS like a domi(50mil to buy, 18 to insure, 62 payout :) ) and that f**king scares me.

Might be worth u looking in to starting an alliance to keep ur corps bound together, though I do beleive that CCP will release a new skill as, lets face it uve proven its required.
On another note, how are u policing inactives? having such a large member base must prove a problem for general admin.
I do agree with the above poster though, if you can maintain ur member base and help them focus their skills into combat then ur going to have a very dangerous corp.
As proven by main (ASCN for instance), cheap frig gangs for roaming PvP is dam fun, add skills to ur current setups and ur going to be controling one of the most dangerous fast attack groups ingame.
What is ur corps stance of PvP? do u have a standing list/website, are u pirates? give info :)

Nice thread, they'll take it.
Back on topic: what *exactly* is GoongFleet/Waffe recruitment policy? Looking at the numbers you take on pretty much anyone that can find his way to Syndicate. Yet some said on this forums that you're exclusively for "established" somethingawful.com forum posters.

Goonfleet are not pirates, however we do aggressively patrol our space in Syndicate and we have an NBSI policy. After every recruitment drive, we have all members post in a thread on our forums and if you do not post you are purged from the corp. This happens every two months or so, we have very few inactives because of this.
As to our recruiting policy, we do only accept people from somethingawful.com, or people that are sponsored by current Goonfleet members.

Aye I noticed about the SA forum requirement (Somthing Awful). And then put that against the large amount of recruits, its just not viable
Would love to check back in on the Goons in 6 months time and see how things are going, will they control space, live in someone elses, be nomadic pirates (or NBSI to those who want to justify piracy to themselfs), or will they turn in to Eve Uni, and train young PvPers to a point of eligability for other more established PvP corps/Alliances. Goon are certainly something to keep an eye on

We are exclusively for "established" Somethingawful.com forum posters. We do not recruit in the game itself at all.

Somethingawful has 60,000+ registered users. Many many many of them are gamers. It isn't that difficult to get 1000 to 1500 to try something. |

I think people overestimate the likelihood of us ever turning super-hostile; there's really very little for people to fear about us, long term (at least imho). While our numbers are a great strength, they also limit us in a lot of ways -- we're pretty much limited to using NPC stations, for example, and the logistical challenge of moving the corp even short distances is mind-breaking. Add in that many of our members, while active, are casual or semi-casual, and it's pretty certain that we'll never be a "hardcore" roving death alliance like, say, [5].
We use the "Beehive" analogy a lot to describe ourselves. Poke a stick into the hive, there'll be a nasty swarm, but it probably won't do much if you leave it alone.
