Empire Risk/Reward (imho vets with guns should be in 0.0) 7. POS lag (load...load...load...pod) 8. Focused fire (primary=dead instantly=no fun) 9. Decloaking scouts (hostile here, somewhere, havent seen him all day) 10. NPC Faction Sovereignty needs to be backed up. (no reason for ORE to control all of Outer Ring, should be like the serps in Fountain) For some reason the fact that ~50% of the people replying to the thread fail to read and understand the point of the OP is hilarious. |

1) planets, more a "dream" than something doable at current state of the game... but i will simply love to have more interaction with planets, moons and so on. to have them with distinctive and characteristic landscape and, why not, with cities towns and so on... ok going back dreaming :P
2) lag, imo n1 issue atm, not much to add
3) dinamic content, dynamic complexes, objects and npcs... maybe even not all combat oriented, exploration FTW!!!!
4) proj rebalance, expecially now that ships will get more defences, proj risk to be "left behind" (T2 ammo rebalance included)
5) missile rebalance, imho a bit too versatile for their damage (T2 ammo rebalance included)
6) ability to chose font size and style
7) fleet vs fleet revamp, too static atm, there where some posts with some interesting posts (one even from me :PpP) with suggestions on how to make it more dynamic, strategical and probably exciting.
8) more interactive space objects with stats eg nebulas that affect sensors, asteroid fields that affect line of sight... (even if probably los will be a bit problematic to implement)
9) macrominers/isksellers doomweapon :P
10) more varied spacem atn systems are quite standard... a backgrond (chosen between a few) a star with a certain color and some standard planets here and there... i will like to see more diversity.... if there is a huge nebula in an area of space i should see it from different perspective regarding the position of the system i am... more variation of planet types, color, size... more varied and realistic space in the end :P

I'm a newb, and I can promise you I'm not gonna be playing EVE for much longer unless there are some REAL serious changes. I thought FFXI was newbie-hostile, but this game reinvents that concept. EVE is not fun in its current state - its a diversion at best. Without further ado:
1. INSTAJUMP: I can only assume these are accomplished by having a massive matrix of bookmarks tweaked for every conceivable gate-to-gate warp. This would help to explain the whole bookmark lag problem on TQ. Kill two problems in one fell swoop and somehow eliminate "instas". Possible solution: all gates can override the speed of ships within a certain range, dropping them to "gate area speed limit" (its a safety issue - I mean, does it make sense for starships to be moving that fast near a vital intergalatic link?). Warping out of the speed limit zone would be legal, and of course new potential exploits from this setup would have to be considered and dealt with. 2. INTERFACE: I don't think it can be saved. I'd scrap the GUI entirely and start over. Its the most bugged, laggy, awful thing I've ever seen...and I played FFXI. Even the defaults make no sense - "local" chat instead of "region", etc. 3. INFORMATION RETRIEVAL: umm, where's the "search category" option in the markets, escrow, etc.? A little drill-down ability would make things a lot nicer and more on par with other games. 4. MISSION VARIETY: componetize and randomize the mission objectives. The code might flow a bit like, "You must kill " <this guy> then "pick up " <object> "and deliver it to " <dropoff>. Naturally you'd have to make sure that it didn't generate any.. 5. ..SUICIDE MISSIONS: What sense does it make to have a level one kill mission that sends you into 0.3? In a cul-de-sac system no less?? Ridiculous!! Or the ones that are clearly impossible for a newb in a small ship (*cough* Worlds Collide *cough*). 6. GATE GANKING: explain to me why Concord would leave ANY jumpgate ungaurded? Wouldn't they all be equally important and defended to the teeth? Why aren't pirates shot on sight 100% of the time? 7. PIRATE DOMINATION: From what I can see, piracy is far too lucrative and easy in EVE. Instas, warp jamming and many other things serve the pirates far better than those who hunt them. Why are ruthless pirates ignored by the authorities in "safe" space? Do you ignore the guy with a loaded shotgun as he's strolling through a high school, instead waiting to fight him in a dark ally? Insanity. 8. NEWBIE LOVE: Umm, I paid for a game...shouldn't I at least get a PDF explaining the basics? I'm on a low-speed connection so don't even hand me that "check the forums" crap, either. Furthermore, real information is gaurded jealously by the old-timers, and the "help" I've received thus far has been laughable. 9. COOPERATIVE PLAY: This game provides almost zero cooperative PvE play ability. I can't do missions with other people or their security gets messed up, or they can't enter the "deadspace" with me, etc. Pirate hunting in safe space isn't worth anything, and you gotta be mega-powerful to risk it in low-sec. Every other MMO has real cooperative play against the NPC threats..EVE needs to get with the program. 10. STELLAR OBJECT DESIGN: Why are 90% of the ships and starbases assymetrical nightmares that resemble insects or broken appliances? How about semi-believable ships and bases, please? Since you're remodeling all of them anyway, I mean.

NOS is currently overpowered. The problem is that capacitor is such a vital component for combat and the effects of NOS provide such a large benefit for the user that most anyone participating in PvP will fit at least two NOS, if not more.
2. ECM/ECCM
Next to capacitor (which is your lifeline), your ability to target your opponent is the next most essential component of combat. Basicly, ECM takes away your opponents ability to fight (minus drones). Again, the benefits of using ECM are so large that most serious PvP players will opt to use ECM and/or NOS.
3. Amarr
Fixing ECM will go a long way towards helping Amarr. One of the complaints about the Amarr ships/weapons are their almost sole dependance on lasers and lack of options for combat. One way to fix this would be to allow for a greater variety in crystals with differing effects. Perhaps let some crystals alter the damage types for lasers instead of forcing Amarr to primarily do EM damage all the time.
4. Insta's
Add "Warp within Jump Distance" option to the context menu for all jump gates. This would eliminate the need for the massive number of bookmarks that lags up the server and shouldn't effect autopilot.
5. Logging
A. Two-minute log out timer, except when in a station. and/or B. No log-outs within 500km of a hostile party.
It would be nice if CCP could build-in a way to tell the difference between an intentional log-out and an unintentional one (aka. crash). Unintentional log-outs should be instant and intentional ones should have a timer involved.
6. Custom Corporation Logos
Self explaintory. I would love to see people able to upload their own Corp Logos.
7. Collision Detection
No more warping through planets and blobbing.
8. Increase PvE intelligence
Let PvE ships AI behave much more like a PvP player. Let them use drones, capacitor, ECM, etc.

Complex aggro is too easy to control, so Plexes are too easy to farm 6. Tractor Beams should have longer range, too much time is wasted on looting in missions 7. T2 is too expensive and T2 BPOs are unevenly distributed 8. Local channel needs markers as in overview on player icons (friendly/hostile) 9. Drones need more options and a better control menu (aggressive/defensive behavior, guard me/guard gang, selectable target orbit distance ...) 10. Some guns need far too much cargo space per time unit for ammo (large autocannons), this is extremely unbalanced.

Give them to everyone or dont allow them for jump gates. Its simply unfair to be in a faster ship and be caught by a slower ship in a straight race.
2. Corporations need a more integrated way to form divisions, for example give them chairman (who would be much like a director, but with less right when dealing with other divisions) and divisional wallets

1. Skill system where I don't have to log in at odd hours just to change skills.
2. Larger and more interesting variety of missions.
3. Scrapping of 4 hour wait to reject mission, so I can keep playing when I have time to play.
5. More stable server.
6. More interesting ways for a team of friends to participate in completing a mission.
7. Better recovery from lost packets so free cargo space, overview, etc. display correct information.
8. Better mission progression between Battleship players with 6 months sp and those with 3 years sp.
9. More interesting things to do in 0.0 space when PvP action is low.
10. Less severe degredation in speed and agility when progressing from frigates up to Battleships.

edit: 10) give us the drone dmg mod back (as a hight-slot module. Why? So the Moros wouldnt be psycho overpowered - as that was your reason to take my dear dmg mods away from me)

well apparently it seems that if you dont have friends pretty much all 0.0 space is blocked due to players not letting people through. so unless you want pvp 24 hours a day you pretty much cant do anything in 0.0 anymore. so why not add an option to allow not allow pvp. you activate it, it means you cant attack any players and players cant attack you. simple, so as not to activate it while in abttle to get out of fighting make it have a daily activation time. you click it on it takes one day for it to activate same as if you deactivate it.
i know it might sound as a stupid idea but there are days when you just want to go kill pirates in 0.0 space in the middle of nowhere where you just want to be alone.

That makes all wars just funny gatherings of players and the ones with more effective power have the win button or with less LAG! I wont go into it just take a look at the nice game Homeworld!
6. Commanders should be able to have better communication with their Wingman. gather around fo example a button to warp all members to hisself, at best he should even decide the formation. Also undergroups so a commander can call different groups.
7. Support Cyonical fields so fleets attack more with those. Fo example limit the number of ships that r able to enter a gate simultaniously. How does a gate transfer hundres of ships in a sec?.
8. Less staions in Eve. The many stations destroy the atmospehre of vast space. It would be a good idea to make it harder to operate a station so numbers in 0.0 reduce.
9. Motherships should become exploring bases that float with their fleet in never befor know lands. Make them bigger give them same modules as staions just smaller(refinery, medi, docs, etc.) their disadvantage is that they r easier to destroy all the rest they should be like staions.
10.Create an outer ring that is not on the map. It should be huge. U should never know how many ships there r or stations. Just unchartered land.
I could go on years with sutch suggestions but generally ur game is great. Ideas r easy to have but to realize an idea like u did is just a great job!

1- Thing that bugs me the most is weapons being able to shoot through Roid's and other space objects...PLEASE CHANGE THIS. Can you imaging manually flying through roids avoiding fire trying to fix your armor and getting cap back.
2-Ways to hide from sensors. Gas clouds and other space anomilies etc. Also make it so if you discharge weapons inside or around you cause some reaction that causes ship damage. Like in Homeworld.
3-More CEO options and a better interface
4-More PVE content
5-Timer on abandoned secure cans...one month if not opened and poof! Or so other solution to get rid of this mess.
6-Able to place corp/alliance logos on ships. While not a paint shop an option to chose various colors for your ship. Like cars at a dealership...and a ship viewer would be nice also before we purchase. Also would like to graphicly see more moduals on ships, like missle launchers, radars etc Hmm a turret recoil
7-New sound...more voice interaction from ship. IE: shield at 50%, shield depleated..armor taking damage...stuff like that.
8-t2 bpo more available to reduce price.
9-Get rid of macrominers
10-keep up the good work

1) remove warp to 0 and reintroduce warp to 15 2) make ships come out of warp in a sphere of 15 km around the object to warp to in stead of arriving atr 15 in light of sight before the object 3) make local like all other chat channels, ie only show up when you talk 4) make ships accellerate to 150% of max speed when trying to warp. Warp cannot be cancelled once above 100% but can still be scrambled. 5) make NPC spawns more difficult again 6) make agent missions depletable, an agent regenerates missions with ever increasing quality at a slow rate. So an agent being farmed heavily will quickly run out of high quality missions and be stuck with low quality ones, maybe even run out. Should spread out people a bit 7) implement faction standings in lo-sec and 0.0, ie low standing = not being able to dock or docking more expensive, using station more expensive etc. Very high standing will make things cheaper. 8) split dual bonus modules: no more sensor booster that boosts both range and locktime, bosot one stat but penalise the other stat. Same for tracking computers, damage mods, etc 9) lower sig radius on a ship per damage done to it for X seconds. This will reduce damage by focused fire in huge fleetbattles but not have a large effect in small gangwarfare since the damage dealt there is not high enough to make much of an effect. 10)fix bookmarks to anchored objects, remove them when the object gets destroyed or unanchored. This allows legit use of bookmarks, marking interesting spots while removing exploit behaviour like instajumps and mass producing safespots on the fly.

First of all, I hope that Eve's developer team will ignore "i hate this cause it doesn't benefit me - lose it". Like i see most of equipment very balanced.
1. Team missions and Corp missions (affects corp standing and cannot be taken without proper authority in the corp)
2. Make tractor beams (particulary medium, large, super) more available - everyone need's them and yet i don't see any on the market
3. Research - needs all kinds of work on it mentioned alot already on this thread.
4. Low security rewards (though it's fun sometimes to do something risky, but worth it, it's never worth doing missions which u can lose ur ship/implatns worth tens of milions for a reward of 500k)
5. There are tech 1 warp core dissrupptors with strength 2 and no stabilizers of same strenght - that's not balansed
6. Faster warping - not faster warp starting, faster warp traveling
7. "Pick up all (in container)" option addition. - no more open container, select all...
8. Better benefits of standings (they matter for r&d corps, but why would i do any missions with any other corp if i don't recycle stuff in their stations?)
9. More stable servers - you have downtime every day, extedned downtime sometimes and still the servers go down often. Do you have an idea that people are paying for 30 days minus 30h at lest for downtime, and probably another day for extended = we pay 12 months, we get 11 and still you can't provide stable servers?
10. More uses for cloaking - u can't do almost anything but travel (not warp, ex=cov.ops.) and you can't even do that in most cases. Having this in mind, they have insane prices!!!

1:cokpitview/bridgeview and ability to move around in ships
2:inside of station being smaller then the outside and a drydock instead of the ship howering in air and you should be able to see other ships.
3:larger turrets, a turret should be as big as 1/10 of shipsize at least
4:real astroidsbelts there you have to search for good rocks and maybe have to travle some 1000km before finding it. giving EVE actual feeling of space.
5:planetary stations and cities there you can land and leave your ship and start a career as miner or whatever.
6:FLAK cannon: sending out maybe 5round/sec with self detonating projectiles, creating a crossfire, extreme effektive against frigates but non effekt on larger ships
7:half the insuranse fee on longer durations. In real life I pay 5% ones a year, in EVE I pay 30% 4 times a year... Can't even afford fighting any longer
8:ability to change ship-bonus your self, (choose between maybe 5 alternatives) and ability to change highslots for medium or lowslots or power or CPU
9:Make armorplates be visible, also cargoexpanders and nosferatu and missilebays
10:Fuel for smaller ships. large ships can still run on what they are running on but small ships should be forced to get refueled every 30minutes

1. R&D - Make research 'active' playstyle not just passive point gain over time. Invention does not solve this. 2. Finish what you started with mini-professions - Archeology is a waste of time, hacking - not much better. Variety of playstyles please, planetry resources - landing sites. 3. Fix Bugs - Drone AI, POS's, overview updating....Sort these out before working on new stuff. 4. Corporation management - More secure wallet access (customisable limit on non-director withdrawals), TRANSACTION INFO, clearer roles, editable corp structure charts, higher tax limit. 5. More missions / varied complexes - Jove & Concord missions please 6. Improved contracts - Bounty contracts tranferring kill rights to 'bounty hunters', better loans ie: corp loan a barge to member for 1 month - payable at end with 5 mil Tritanium. 7. Corp logos / brands on ships and modules - make your corps ships more unique. More artwork (player influenced ship modelling) options. 8. More POS structures - player owned trading hubs/casinos, repair yards. Less NPC stations. 9. Allow players to join any NPC corp with benefits / responsibilities based on that. 10. Fleet combat - LAG, formations, real physics, more area of effect weapons, more specific ship roles.

Make the game friendlier to new players.
1.) Optional advanced tutorial that goes beyond simple game mechanics. EvE veterans and forums are not a practical source of help for new players, nor should they be the cop-out answer to legitimate concerns from new players. <i>Especially</i> for 20 bucks a month.
2.) Cooperative play. Players in a gang with the same mission should be able to complete it together. This should go beyond corporations also.
3.) "Don't play EVE" shouldn't be the response to people that don't want to play in a corporation.
Issues that should be addressed.
4.) Tech II lottery is ridiculous. More beyond me has been said about it, but the point needs to be stressed.
5.) If you're going to remove instas, add warp to 0.
6.) Drone AI is horrible. Amarr have gotten their laser perks, Minmatar have gotten thir projectile perks, and Caldari missiles have been tweaked time and time again. With all of the issues regarding Drone AI, at least <i>something</i> should be done to address them.
7.) Warp Core Stabs are used by more than just PvPers. Penalties for using more than one should apply, but the current nerf has hurt mission runners, and inconvenienced miners moreso than quelled the complaints of Griefers, and stopped the abuses of unscrupulous players.
Ideas that I think would be nice to have.
8.) Standings should affect the market, and players should know who they are buying from. Player run game =/= PvP run game. Traders and Scientists should have thier ways of affecting the game world; and boycotting players/corporations/alliances would give more power to the players that choose not to involve themselves in 0.0 Emo Corp/Alliance politics.
9.) Regional warpgates would be a great convenience. Even if there were only 2 or so in each region. Players won't feel so isolated and alienated with respect to other regions; and it would promote exploration, as it would mitigate the loss of so much wasted time just to see what is different in the next cluster. Starting in Gallente space; I'd like to see what is in Amarr space for myself; but am unwilling to spend over an hour in travel time to get there if there is nothing to really benefit while so much is left behind (player help is a joke, so don't even bring it up).
10.) Scaling insurance costs (dependant upon ship type...haulers and miners shouldn't cost as much to insure as fighters) would help to mitigate griefer and high-sec pirating exploits.

1. Revised sensor system - Active/Passive/Visual detection - Would better utilize the vast expanse of Eve.
2. Revised electronic warfare modules - Necessary with the above sensor system revision.
3. Revised/additional ships for use with new sensor system
4. Tactical environments
5. Planetary Interaction - Settlements, defenses, ability to bombard planet from orbit, ability to orbit the planet pole-to-pole/around the equator, ability to warp to "sectors" of the planet that can be developed/inhabited.
6. T2 Lottery fix - It must adapt with the times.
7. Active factional warfare - Empire Naval patrols active in low-sec Empire space.
8. Increased faction interaction - Either through enlistment, or other forms of services.
9. Flares and decoys - Stationary and mobile.

1-Make battles longer
2-Nerf long range sniping battles ( imho best fun is 100 km max, then all cruisers and inties are important)
3- make battles possibly lag free.
4- boost "regular" 0.0 ( the majority of 0.0 wich is crap)
5-fix the **** gang bug wich is from start of Eve( pople sometimes cant get invited to gang even when they log off log in, usua;lly after they got invited and crashed or declined by mistake)
6-Balance/boost/unbug complexes below 10/10, the 6/10 and the like.They seem tottaly hopeless atm.
7- Find a way to make complex respawn fair for all timezones, maybe make it rotational , each day it respawns one hour later after dt.
8- Balance balance and more balance for ships and modules.
9- Donate every month to all characters with Earthan name a moros.

I dont know if its been listed or if this is the right place but the covetor has a targeting range of about 7km. thats kinda stupid . The stips have a range tiwce that. seems odd they would design lasers like that. But please dont chage the laser chage the range on the covetor back to what it was so I can kill the rats that come and attack me.

Standard targetting range is 22 km, more with skills. The Warp Core stabilizers have been nerfed, they now decrease targetting range. Stop fitting your ship with those, or use countermeasures :]. Now mods: go and delete these last two posts ;] ____________________ The "Change ALL Ammo"-button |
