An even bigger ship than a Titan, which takes two alliances and 10 outposts to build, costs 450 billion ISK and a 100 billion isk rank 48 skill to fly but it can one shot a Titan.

Planet colonization a la Master of Orion, except integrated into EVE as part of the game. This is planned, but the bigger, the better. For example, buildings could be built on planets that give system-wide bonuses, and planets could produce and demand trade goods.

Things like T2 battleships and the ability for planetary flight,with specific ships created for the purpose coming out from carriers and motherships maintenance bays,even to the point of allowing battles happening in the atmosphere and bases on the surface allowed to be conquered or even destroyed if needed...
Battleships/dreads in orbit would be able to do planetary bombing but only on the larger structures and would require an electronic tag to be placed on the target site by those smaller planetary flight ships for the BS/dread pilot to get a lock and be able to fire it's weapons with any sort of accuracy...
Those planetary bases would obviously have their own defences of course,including long range guns/missile that can hit BS/dreads/carriers in orbit,with the same limitation of also having the need for electronic tags to be placed on the ships hull by friendly ships that make it into orbit...
Pretty much generalised mayhem when all ships can have a role and even the people manning the defence turrets on those planetary bases can have a blast popping BS's from orbit with good teamwork...

The ability to get out of your pod and walk around in station and find and beat up that guy who cut you off at the gate.
Better graphics
Gas mining
System-wide asteroid belts.

I posted this a while back in full-fledged idea form.
It was pretty interesting.
The idea was to make planetary colonization relatively cheap (cheaper than outposts--maybe a bil or two) to make it widespread and create a big market.

Fuel use in ships - to be offset by the ability to refuel in solar atmospheres or gas giants. (Yes, I am an old Elite player. )
Would slant the game back towards small ships; if you want to use a BS, better have a good reason because if you don't the fuel costs will eat you alive!
Requirement for regular maintenance might be nice, too.

lots of bugs fixed T2 market regulated by NPC sales have a bone or 3 thrown to piracy ECM to be fixed so the "ECM ships" are the ones using ECM. and have the solopwnmobiles put in line.

I think this'd make those people who dock in 0.0 NPC stations and wont come out, think twice. :P Or use em as traps..."Oh, that guy docked. In after him, load guns!" "Oh ****, they're all in here, back to ships, go go go...Damn, they ghot me. " :)

Most of the lag we experience now is not server lag (yay for upgrades!) but client lag. I would like to see MAJOR client side optimizations. IE, no temporary "freezing" when warping to an object with other players already there.

Nonstatic content. That's all. Stuff that appears in the middle of nowhere and disappears once used, like ancient ruins for archeology, complexes with decent loot such as silos full of minerals (rather than all the isk coming from bounties and bloody rare modules), shipwrecks and such.
One thing that really annoys me is those static hidden complexes. Defeats the purpose of them being hidden, doesn't it? And as a result, since it's always there, they can't give it loot inappropriately high for the system, especially in empire where nobody can claim the system.
