Ok, had to add my 2 cents now. t3, and things of that nomenclature are patently unwise. We dont need more specialization. you'd have an even WIDER gap between old players and new players. creating an even worse situation as far as "i got ganked with t3 items theres no way i can counter that" et al i would spend all the effort of creating even more advanced skills and modules to expanding the career scope of eve

Originally by: vanBuskirk Fuel use in ships - to be offset by the ability to refuel in solar atmospheres or gas giants. (Yes, I am an old Elite player. )
Would slant the game back towards small ships; if you want to use a BS, better have a good reason because if you don't the fuel costs will eat you alive!
Requirement for regular maintenance might be nice, too.
Oh ya, gimmie a fuel scoop and a sol to skim. Good 'ole Elite.
An interesting idea, could make some strategic changes in regards to re-supply of fleets let alone the average distance a ship should be able to travel before refueling?
Should overdrives and use of ab's etc have a significant cost?
Indy tanker class for fleet support anyone?

I think we shopuld have the ability to do9ck with other ships and instead of planet mapping etc .. have bridge and ship mapping .. so we can fly froma bridge ... role play on ships .. and also stations we should be able to walk around in stations. I was just looking at star wars galaxies .. they can do all this .. walk around stations (imagine battling against npc pilots in stations trying to get back to your ship and fly out coz you killed a low sec pirate ) Kill rights should implement this ie you can get out on a station and kill them ...) obviously pilots need to be able to escape from hunting pirates or players so i guess if you stay in your hangar your safe - but if you go into the bar etc of the station your fair game .. ! )
perhaps we should also see the odd city where we can land and house our hq's the very big corps i imagine run them like proper business' with the major players not flying that much at all - it gets that way - so why not if you want a mission you have to land on a planet and go find your agent. perhaps level 1.0 to 0.0 cities in the same way as the space play.
But mainly i think the ships should be flown froma bridge the starbases should be walk aroundable and we should be able to dock with other players to swap goodies and rare stuff or plan with fellow corp members aboard the bigger ships like the bs or even the bc and upwards.
imagine flying a titan and being the boss and having your whole corp aboard .. when they want to speak to you they have to come and see you in person' or one of your subordinates.. !
npc titans should be played better than star bases or akin to in regards to friendly factions or corps being allowed to dock and trade etc etc..! but more that they can fly around like a movable star base and feature in game - they should also be almost indestructable like starbases are - highly protected etc etc .. so if we had say five npc titans flying around that we could trade at walk around in or find agents secret stuff etc etc or buy faction ships .. etc etc mine from in rare ore areas all of the above of course if our standings are good enough sell secrets .. this would mean that each player has to start to choose the corps that they do missions with .. we have to build sec with corps that are important for our game play .. certain npc titan corps mayu have access to really rare stuff that you can only get from that corp and on that titan .. only dock if you have the right standings .. and have doen the regular missions etc .. but dont make it ridiculous ie only if you completed the most difficu;lt mission in the game can you get aboard a titan .. make some of the missions feature the npc titan for the corp your missionning with.. !
so the denouement - starbases walkable around - big ships dockable and walkable around and fly by bridge - NPC titans walkable around .. get missions trade - bounty hunting - talking to other players in a bar or such just like the starbases. Finally say three years down the line .. planets should be landable etc etc ....colonisable. owned minable etc etc man that would be something to own your own planet that you have settled and only your corp mates know where your settlement is .. ! Having to fly around a planet looking for a pirate settlement would absolutely rock ...! like a pos but on a planet- as you corp gets bigger the city or settlement does .. until at some stage it features in game - say missions etc etc .. !

lol!
I'd like to see EVE PvP be more skill based. If someone has been playing and mining for 4 years just because he is in a Titan does not mean he should be able to wtfpwn my cruiser/BS no questions asked if he isn't 'good' at video games. 100% skill based PvP is impossible in this game but at least make it a little harder for the o.Os

Drones with hearing aides that actually return to my ship when asked to.
Tech 2 petitions, the kind that actually get a postive response from a client perspective.
Seriously though.
Tracking skills, allowing you with the appropiate mods/implants to track pilots across the galaxy like certain NPC agents do.

1. NOT T3 Stuff, lol 2. More interesting weapons (Mines, anyone?) 3. Interesting celestial events (Comets that pass through the EVE universe and can be mined at certain times would rock) 4. More options for Miners (Comet mining, gas mining, nebula mining) 5. Larger ships leave "corpses" or debris (not just cans) when destroyed 6. Make space more interesting (Drone controlled space, interesting NPC structures like ship graveywards) 7. Personal POS's in deep space with (preferably) little to no maintanence cost 8. A ship halfway between Haulers and Freighters 9. Mobile Research/Production stations 10. General things to make things like production and research away from actual stations and more in actual space, reducing the gap between people that own POS's and those that don't 11. I couldn't care less about planetary combat, lol 12. NO out-of-pod experiences! 13. THE JOVE!!!!

"Defender" Missile/laser boat ships - heavy armor with only defensive capabilities, completely unoffensive. Great at shooting down enemy missiles, and gets a huge bonus to tracking disruptors as well.
Specialised Crew for ships - Say...bring along 500 engineers in your cargohold for a 1% bonus to shield recharge and capacity, as well as 1% bonus to Capacitor.
"Pulse Probes" - Probes that keep an active lookout in an adjacent system, or maybe keep you alerted of a ship when it approaches within 10km of a gate. (for early warning purposes).
Warp Core Inhibitor - Rather than using a point system for scrambling, it uses a time system. So for 5-10 seconds, you litterally "Jam" the warp core of a ship. Uses signifigantly less CPU than warp scramblers, but increased capacitor. Not really useful in solo efforts.
Micro Energy Disruptor - Reduces the effects of a webifier on your ship by a certain percentile. Requires activation and a large amount of CPU.
Gravitational Distortion unit - High slot, Extreme amounts of cap needed. Basically ships the velocity and direction of an enemy ship, unaligning them from warp, or just messing up their orbit in general.
"Swarm" Rocket system - Automatically targets drones using defender Missiles (yeah, i know defenders are for anti-missile use..) Doesnt require an active target for use, and wont target an enemy ship. Uses signifigantly less CPU and PG than a smartbomb, therefore useful on smaller ships.
Some sort of F.O.F. Gun system for those of us who dont use Cruise launchers as a primary means of kicking ass.
and..well, many other ideas. But those are a few that would be cool to have in game, not to mention more "Limited Edition" ships that are released every so often (Whether they are useful or not, its just fun to collect sometimes).

Edited by: Sandra Tseng on 31/03/2006 09:17:03 Derelicts. I have been pounding this idea for some time now. I am a litte bit bugged by the fact that a SUPERMASSIVE Battleship, take the APOCALYPSE for instance (you can clearly see how HUGE this ship is by zooming in to look at all those tiny little windows), Just vapourizes when it pops - and appearantly thousands and thousands of tons of steel and all other materials (tritanium, pyerite, isogen bla bla bla) just vanishes into space dust - miracelously leaving an intact little container?
What I want is the ship model to be replaced by a runed out derelict ship that works exacly as a can works today.
Kinda like the derelict ships in Homeworld and HW2.
Maybe more cool than *needed* But then again - coolness IS *needed*

One thing that really annoys me is those static hidden complexes. Defeats the purpose of them being hidden, doesn't it? And as a result, since it's always there, they can't give it loot inappropriately high for the system, especially in empire where nobody can claim the system.
I second that motion! Even if is only a "wandering" asteroid belt .. give system surveys a purpose, please!

I think this constant need to create new types of ships and build new eve expansions is what is currently destroying the game. I don't think anything new should be added until every single little bug no matter how small gets fixed. I wouldn't care how long it takes. The game is phenominal but is ruined by bugs

Dynamic Hangar Environments:
The ability to have a hangar environment which adjusts according the items you are currently storing at that hangar. ie, show appearence of large stock piles of minerals or the plethora of Exotic Dancers; more boobies for teh win!!
Planets as Resources:
The ability to hold possesion of a planet for short periord of times which grants a "slight" modifier to a corporation.
Player Characters:
I would love the ability to get out of my ship while docked and interact with others or the environment of the Station.
I would be willing to payfor a new feature which permits an rpg element for the individual character. Such a system should have nearly static skills although weapons and clothing should be dynamic.
More Boobies:
This is kinda geared towards an adult so let us have more boobies!!
