How about the ability to be able to land on planets and hand to hand fight
You could use mental powers to increase powers and repair people
Some form of hand weapons like axes and swords
You could also get gold, and there would be flying monsters
And the Martains, yeah, they would have pointy ears, be green with tusks and erm... oh.....

Love the idea of Q-Ships
Planetary installations, production capability, etc, etc.
No more NPC market - everything produceable by players.
Push combat away from gates - more raiding - linked to planetary/moon ownership. (ie ships come in and can capture materials without full destruction of the facility)
Player remote convoys - ability to set up haulers that can automatically route between installations. (say, one per skill level) That can be intercepted as well, of course.
Hire of bill-boards
That'll do :)

A complex new planetary system that involves terra forming, colonizing, industry and such. Allowing corporations to own planets and extract resources from them. All this would bring in a whole new industrial side to Eve making it even more awesome.. for care bears.
Now what I want is a Planetary Genocide Device for on my Dreadnaught so I can hover ominously in orbit of a colonized world while I role-play like

Space anomallies/environment where pvp can be fought or a person u are chasing decides to hide in them or u take the battle there instead of just limiting battles by gates, stations and asteroids. for example here are some ideas i thought of:
nebulae: enormous clouds of gas and dust from dead stars or where new stars are born. travelling through them generates ionization that disrupts shields as well as sensor strength depending on how fast u are moving through it. a ship may appear to be cloaked or could be seen and targeted depending on how close u are to it or your sensor strength so boosting sensor strength will let u see the ship. warp is impossible until u leave the nebular.
black holes: if u get too close it drains your cap and also pulls u in. the closer u venture the more stonger its pull. pray u have enough power to move away from the event horizon or nearby friendlies can link transfer more cap to your ship to give you enough power to escape its pull more massive ships get sucked into the black hole much easier(like quicksand). if u get pulled in u loose your ship and your pod... but if you eject from your ship u become less massive hence easier to escape from the black hole... and to add to that maybe your ship could be stuck in some gravitational anomally and get stuck in the black holes accretion disc and you would need help from other ships equiped with tractor beams to pull your ship out from safety (the bigger the ship stuck the more ships needed to tow and depending on how far into the black hole it is) and as eve time passes by it get pulled close to the center until it is no more now fighting close to a black hole will weaken energy weapons but boost projectile weapon damage since it sucks energy like cap. projectiles and missiles become more massive hence cause more damage.
stellar corona: travelling too close to a star can burn up your ship the more thermal resistant the ship the longer u last in such environment.
more environments like planetary atmospheres, planetary dust rings, and comets can be added and could give you an advantage or a disadvantage depending on your ship type or modules u carry. hence more thinking on how u fight u where u fight.
also when ramming into other ships, massive ships should budge a little or barely and less massive ships should bounce off. makes it more realistic. i fly a shuttle ram into a BattleCruiser by a station and i send it flying off in the other direction makes me laugh

Bigger expansion of 0.0 and more entrances to get into it.
More direct routes between 0.0 and highsec instead of 50 jumps between 0.0 and highsec.
Less customs ships at gates to allow some smuggling to happen. ATM, there are so many customs ships, it's almost impossible to smuggle anything.
More toys for everyone in 0.0 and empire alike and reasonable standings requirements for Empire POS and clones. Also remove restrictions on ship operational areas so that dreads, carriers and titans can enter highsec but have to be built in lowsec. Let those in Empire actually see these ships and what they too could have if they move down to lowsec or 0.0.
The ability to have lower cost small POS for small corps and solo players in Empire.
More content for solo players who may not want to join a corp yet or have a corp of their own but need time to recruit.
Mercenary operations and the ability to transfer KR to them or pay them private bounties for people.
an 11 hour working week with the same weekly wage so I can play more

- Space phenomena.
- Mini-games.
- New, more varied missions.
- Dynamic storylines, NPCs, missions, content.
- New items, ships, modules, skills, stations.
- More options for character creation. (It's still pretty damn nice, but more color options for hair and what not would at least be a start.)
- Bug fixes.
- Jovians.
- NPC wars that are pertinent to news and continuing storyline. (Would be fun to watch.)
- Dynamic NPC space convoys. (You can see a few iterons around stations sometimes, but it could stand to be on a grander scale.)
- Planet descriptions.
- Improved homeworlds. (A homeworld should have tons of ships and stations floating around.)
- Improved physics. (Shooting large missiles that go through asteroids is just plain weird. Dreadnaughts and other capital ships being hit by missiles and torpedoes looks hilarious.)
- Improved graphics. (The game still looks great, but it's beginning to show its age.)
- Modifiable module slots. (A capital ship may fit 4 ginourmas guns, but what's keeping it from slapping on 20 medium guns?)
- Point Defense weapons. (Even if purely for show.)
*Crews. (Whether you like it or not, the larger ships in EVE have crews and it'd be nice if they were at least acknowledged somehow. Could be useful for RP or economic purposes.)
Of course, these ideas would probably lag the game into oblivion but some are achievable. I BELIEVE IN YOU CCP!

I would actually like to see a differnt way to mine ore, being this example.
(Disclaimer: its not a fool proof system and would need work but its something to think about and work from)
AT the moment to mine ores you sit at a belt and mine for hours to receive some amount of ores. To make any real money you need several hours of the day to do it. This promotes macro mining.
So what id like to see is NPC's actually claim jump a system, Lock it down so gates cant be jumped through and massive amounts of ships guard the gate that a small fleet needs to be brought to clear them out.
Then once inside the system will have a NPC pos, and maybe an outpost if they have been left alone for along time or just happen to be a major ore system. NPC wings like the current belt rats would constantly attack players, not guard a place but actually attack them. Say maybe a random interval between 10-30 minutes or something. This only stops when the support structures are killed of, i.e the POS/outpost.
Once the pos/outpost is dead the system no longer spawns NPC's, this includes the gate guards that protect the gates into said system.
Lastly with this the ore amounts inside the system are limited but they are higher yeild, maybe 2-3 or even 4 times the amount there is now but once they pop, they pop. Possibly static belts as they are now still constantly retain low end standard ores like they do now as place holders. Of course this would need to be a random system thing.
This, imo, would break up mining into a largescale project where all player types can get involved, NPCers and miners alike and create a more rewarding experience. Also would lead to exploration as well as said system would have to be found.
Lofty yet would be so much more fun.

1 month decay period for secure can in space, popped after that 
Mining probe ..... something like how Protoss do harvesting . Just plug one stick on a big veld n log off, and it'll land in your hangar hours later. 
Berzerk mode during battle that can drain all your cap

Yeah! Enviromental effects would rock.
Also I think that if you warp in 15 km from the sun in any system, you should take a fixed thermal DPS from the heat.
Other than that.....the suns are pretty close up.

Warning, my post may make the leet PVP killboard freaks amoung you vomit, so better to avoid reading it if you fit into this category :P
more 'hustle and bustle' from NPCs.
I'd like to see more NPC activity, I've never seen an npc mining op so at the moment I only see convoys leaving stations occaisonally, police/concord ships here and there and NPC rats at belts and missions.
NPCs I'd like to see added: firstly for decoration and 'space filling' purposes, researchers in shuttles or frigates, real NPC that work for a corp, so you'd see the CEO of Gal Fed Navy moving from one station to another in an Opux yacht or something like that (this could be a rare sighting), lower ranked npc corp employees could appear a little more often and in more common ships. NPC mining ops in empire (that dont actually deplete the ore, or if they do only very little).
I'd like to also see much more variation in the missions, Important missions for Gal Fed Navy might send you to a Caldari station to kill one of the top NPC for that corp (and his bodyguard escorts). Missions to destroy the guarded npc mining ops mentioned above. I just feel that at the moment its just fly to these NPC, kill them and come back, none of it really seems to interact with the day to day happenings (or lack of) of the eve universe.
It might be silly to add many NPC to 1.0 systems or other systems that are busy there is already enough players/lag there so leave it, but perhaps the system could generate NPCs depending on the average numbers of players that are in the system (for lag reasons).
Now im not saying EVE should copy any other game or style of universe but I always loved the missions in Elite2: Frontier where you would get a kill mission and it went like this, you had to travel to a certain station or planet and the target NPC would leave at a certain time and you had to follow it for a bit until it was in a good area to kill it, no police around etc, this made me feel like this npc had something to do, like its own life, in eve NPC seem to wait around in belts or mission loations just floating there waiting for people to come and kill them.
One last thing, the few times ive been to 0.0 space it looked SO empty, I really dont think that 0.0 should be a place that is very busy with lots of NPC but a few here and there at stations and gates will definatly add to making the universe feel a little more alive in those barren systems. |

To go with that interesting idea why not have an interesting way of undoing someone else's progress.
Not sure if mass drivers are specifically planned (I hear some form of orbital bombardment is), but how about letting us capture asteroids and toss them down upon unsuspecting settlements? :)
Make it a capital ship thing, and maybe depending on the type of asteroid it would change the amount of damage done. Would be an interesting bit of logistics to jump your planet killers around to pick up rarer roids for use in planet bombardments.
And yeah, I like B5. :)

Ok... some stuff, I was thinking about:
- A Stock Market linked to faction warfare in some form - NPC Crew-System for larger Ships and Installations (Introduction of relating new Attributes) - Possibility of Boarding the larger player Ships and Installations through Dropships (Yarr! -> Link to NPC Crew, Escort of bigger Ships through smaller craft becomes more important) - Player "Warp Route" Exploration System (Claim, Customs Duty, Routes collapsing after some weeks etc) - Player "Warp Gate" Installations & Facilities (Importance on being Destructable and possibility in demanding a customs fee from players in transit) - Anti Spam Bots in Recruitment Channel! - Ingame Stats Listing on Corporations (Wars won, fought, lost, Ressources gathered etc) - A wandering "space weather" system having various effects on the system it touches (Like reducing Target Range etc) - Deployable Defense Turrets for Miners! - Stealth Cans! - Player rating System for trades in Escrow - Player Loan System - Space Mines!
etc etc.
