Finally, i have had drones sitting in their 10/10 complex system for bloody months and they refused to get them out for me at 1mil / drone...

Well no... as people have said.. it's the dawn of the new age. All one has to do, is get 400+ pilots in a system to takedown the POS' that billions of ISK have been invested in. It's then all gone in 72h.
Imagine stepping up to collect your university degree, then have them rip it up in front of your eyes. That's what happened to T R U S T. G/IRON are in their first year, they've seen what'll happen and decided to drop out.

Thats gutting G was my fav standard of good things in EVE, GL guys.
wow this is getting worring, what have ccp done they best go relook at the pos game its totaly boring worse than mining ever was.
Still we did all want Titans & big ships but we dont want the hassel making um is becoming, let the indust go back to empire & make um for there isk & we can start popping um & everones happy again.

I've never understood why not more ppl go after sieging dreads with nos/neuts? No matter how good you can tank you're a sitting duck with no cap. The defender has just about every advantage there is with POSes and dreads.

your not implying that since you dont have the Cap ships skills and able to fly them that it means you cant go out to 0.0 are ya? as an individual? cuz you can.
As for "system control" or "region Control" yes you need Vets and their capabilities (read Experience) not only sp.
i just realized this gets into a "omg let me fly everything NOW!! why make me wait to get there" type conversation.

Expect a new 'brand' soon I would say.
Perhaps they are getting together formally with IRON/RAZOR, who knows... but something is definately cooking.

As far as the aside, yes I've been saying it for a long long long time that dreads (and now carriers) are ludicrously skill intensive and break the game (Its become an exponential skill progression). Insted of taking a modest investment of time to get into what you want to do and then get good at it you now have to grind (and I use that word seriously) a bunch of specialties that you may not even want to in order to do stuff. I maintain that the game would have been much much better if dreadnaughts and carriers both required cruiser 4 and were playbalanced as alternative play paths to Battleships.
Allowing people who were interested in siege warfare and battleship smacking to go straight to dreadnaughts, and allowing people who were interested in system control and area denial to go to carriers, with the middle ground occupied by battleships... but noooooooo people whinged that "Battleships were way too common" and thus the new ships were made rare, extremely rare and because they were so rare they were made powerful, obscenely powerful so much so that the challanges provided for them to overcome are simply ludicrous to undertake in anything else.
See who likes living in a universe where pwnmobiles are rare... and you are irrelevant?
I doubt CCP has the stones to fix it, and Eve is not better off.
PRoposal to fix blobbing and make Charisma useful.

I know I should be happy about this but im not. As much as I disapprove of G's arrogence they were way to bad ass to disband.
Maybe my tinfoil hat is on wrong again, but I still don't think G will disband. They will stay right where they are. I've yet to see a good reason for them to disband. To my knolegde they did not have the serious internal problems that iron had. Something does not add up.

I guess this means only ASCN or the LV coalition for BoB to fight. Quick go for ASCN. They seem like a nice fat target. Then after they(ASCN and the only other southern alliances able to put up a fight) are gone, G/IRON will be back to take on BoB again since they dont have to worry about friends of BoB comming to blob them. For now they be mining in empire and wait for the right time to strike back. BoB will probably still beat them but who knows for sure. Yarr!

No real posts from G members, no real explanation as to the reason behind the break up of the alliance. This post seems a little unbelieveable tbh.
so I would think either they arent breaking up and cmd woodhouse is just being a forum troll extraordinaire. Or they are reforming into a single alliance with IRON, which is a bit strange as they were all thought of as one entity anyway by the rest of EVE.
some clarification as to the reason behind the breakup (if there is one) would be interesting.

Yes this was expected along with IRON disbanding too.
Flame as much as you wanted. PA was the alliance the centered the stability of the north one way or another. Not because it was militarialy strong or polictically weak in the end, it did stand for a purpose which was scoffed at by everyone around it. Look at things now; in under one month after PA Disbanded the entire northern area went to hell.
It doesn't matter who or how it was caused. G IRON and RZR was all warned this was gonna happen but all was given back was arrogance and pride. Now there is no 'positive' alliance left worth noting of in the north to keep the peace.
I call this year the year of change. many upon many changes are happening that are changing the history of EVE forever. ATUK disbanding with it leaving a power vaccuum open and with them entire alliances are disbanding and remodeling into new alligances. BOB to for all their arrogance is challenging all perspectively all of EVE which will kill them in 6 months if they fight everyone around them.
It is understandable for them to do this because they too was on the verge of internal decay which threatened to destroy their proud alliance because they haven't seen any large action in so long their pilots are beginning to get shifty.
The huge ordeal with the South east conflict on going and things in the direct south are heating up to. This is the year of war and it is upon us all. We got 7 more months to go rearrange the face of EVE for the new wave of young players so :) lets get to killing each other already.

I dont think its BoB/F-E/5 or anyone man for attacking they left nothing in G or IRON space was touched I think ya find it all comes down to posses & the bordom they bring.
Look at the 600+ super blob to take 1 system & destroy some junk, 6 days of bordom for 1 system, now think of moving all that system to system 10-20 times 5day of bordom & thats with no ristance.
Posses are killing pvpers without firing a shot.
Im shure the super blob will agree that other than G doing some suicide its must have been totaly boring & peeps start not to log on, 30+ days of that & noones gunno be online.

You know, that whole op in EC- was done for a reason and all that and so on (as described in that EC- thread). But it is boring as hell, of course. Hence the change of standings that we did, all that to bring more gankage to Eve.
As for weather we are lame or not for not fighting "the way it used to be done", well eve changed, and we are always trying to utilitize all changes to our benefit, be it POS, capital ships, industry, complexes, agents, you name it.
But yeah, pvp was different back in 2003, for better or worse, the question is, when the game changes do you adapt or cancel your accounts?

Well, before the POSes, all the carebears used to cry that it's to easy for PVPers to take over their space, so CCP attended to the carebears. Now, all the PVPers are saying that POS wars are boring, but it's to protect the carebears in 0.0. This game has always been a shooting game, but it's tailored for carebeares now, because of all the whining that they did before POSes were introduced in to the game.
I see a lot of people now wanting to eliminate NPC stations from 0.0. Guess what that will do. MORE POSES in 0.0. Pretty soon, with Kali, the carebears will be able to block off portions of 0.0 and the only way to get in to attack them will be with Titans and before you know it, PVP will be reduced to ganking in .1-.4 only. Great job CCP. Carebears FTW.
All my accounts subscriptions are now on month to month bases and I would suggest that every PVPer does the same. The only way CCP will do anything is when 10,000 people cancel their accounts because the game is not appealing to a PVPers. Otherwise, start doing missions in empire and get your mining barges and POS fuel ready. What a joke.

Yea I loved the idea of giving the indust a role in our world but I guess everything with them comes down to cost & war for fun is pure isk loss, that ment the posses even had to run by pvpers even more boring stuff combined with 100 man sitting idel for days.
god knows how ya fix it but i think keep posses just make it so normal factorys in low sec can build all the titans & mofos it might help that once we got more capitals around pos killing can be handled by them but still leaves the 5 days of waiting.
I have no answer to it but will return to see if we find one.

i think it would help to motivate ppl to dare going into 0.0 by increasing the profit (or reducing empire profit) in addition with "jumptransporter" suggested some time ago on the forums.
Once materials, even in larger quantites and even minerals become common in 0.0 more ppl will populate it. Simply because it is not very appealing for smaller groups to move a new bs 60 jumps or to replace a cruiser from empire.
On the otherhand mining lowore in 0,0 is kinda senseless if the empire markets are full aswell.
In short give ppl the chance and a reason to use 0.0 over some empire system with great infrastructure, all required stuff 1 jump away and an income base beating every 0.0 system with little to no risk and ull see more ppl taking opportunities because GREED is always a strong drive.

THe idea of going in and wiping out an opposing force, setting up base and fighting for it was fun, and we did it 2-3 times so far.. so obviously they have decided they dont want to do that anymore because honestly spending so muhc time blowing up POS's is boring. So of all people, it makes sense they would get tired of it :)

Pretty soon, with Kali, the carebears will be able to block off portions of 0.0 and the only way to get in to attack them will be with Titans and before you know it, PVP will be reduced to ganking in .1-.4 only. Great job CCP. Carebears FTW.
All my accounts subscriptions are now on month to month bases and I would suggest that every PVPer does the same. The only way CCP will do anything is when 10,000 people cancel their accounts because the game is not appealing to a PVPers. Otherwise, start doing missions in empire and get your mining barges and POS fuel ready. What a joke.
I actually agree with the above, imagen what pvp will look like when you can lock of gates and have player owned sentry guns at the gates and stations. Guess EvE will not longer be a niche game, and a lot of the vets will be leaving. However, doomsday scenarios have always been present in EvE, it was actually predicted that EvE would not last longer then 3 months, so we'll just have to wait and see I guess.

POS shooting for hours with the only intresting thing is u checkign log to see if u got a wrecking or not is extremley boring. 600 man blobs waiting and lagging out a system while others watining or lagging out is as boring as it is a waste of time , we all pay to play not to just do routine ****. IMO the large scale warfare of alliances has totaly taken out the fun in this game , Small gang engements are 4TFW any day now , i rather go ganking or even suicide op than staying in a 150 man gang waiting to go snipe snipe with another gang of aroudn the same size . If the up coming patches etc or Kali doenst bring up small skirmish types as many ppl said most of the vets will deffo leave this game and i think the whole alliances dissbanding wave thats goign through and many hard core pvpeers leavign their alliances are symptoms to this problem but anyway we will see .

I personally think ppl are just joining a hype atm and paint things far too black since the EC event.
It might be true that a 600 ppl blob is overdoing it but dont forget it was a 1 time event, especially with the following standingreset.
Ive been in systems with 300 ppl and we got some good fights (hpa anyone) while other fights were simply pwned by lag.
On the otherhand i agree that eve needs to refocus its size, the "way to go" and how 0.0 works.
If ccp is just looking for some dudes who hang out in empire and pay the bills then this is the right way aslong as you upgrade agents and keep adding new features. On the counterpart you will lose all 0.0 pilots and the pvpers who actually create "the news".
One thing i stumbled over is the fact that the eve universe didnt "grow" in size systemwise and that the risk vs reward sheme doesnt work anymore for 0.0 compared to empire. So this needs fixing or we will see 0.0 dry out with only a few big boys moving their outposts and capital fleets around.

if you had been in eve abit longer you would know that there have been battles with similar forces or numbers in local. However it is convenient to cry about a 1 time coalition (which has already fallen apart after existing to capture 1 system). The very same worked in curse against us where RA united with Xetic remnants and others to put a halt to the 5 mining operation or when multiple alliances declared on the curse alliance or PA. to gather 600 pilots is not that much of an achievement as anyone tries to make out, when 5 was formed the 5 original corps got like 300 ppl together for their move into curse. and that was like 50% of our ppl.
The new eve promotes that an active enemy will always be ahead of someone who has 2k members on paper but cant bring them to bear.
Oh and before you cry foul and whatnot, G/Iron/Razor/Vc/SA/Imp/bandwagon had no issue to declare on bob in the past, no matter what the odds were. Main difference was that they were uncoordinated and lacked the "on point" numbres to actually pull off an event of this proportion.
With a playerbase of 100k players to gather 600 in 1 system doesnt seem to be "awesome". Heck that happens everyday in jita. On the otherhand imagine the potential in alliances like FE or PA before their war on 5. Both counting close to 2k and more members. Imagine they were half as active, i guess they could muster QUIET a force on their own.
Technically issues are another thing, and as long as eve grows, the ressources are limited and priorities need to be made we will always see a place where combat cant take place. The magic number isnt 600, sometimes (like d7 2 months ago) its just 100 in gang. Lag = lose no matter what numbers you have.

A corpmate of mine has the same problem. Come to think of it, all major shifting of power happens during holiday seasons, so if you are visiting relatives etc during that season you pretty much miss it all.

GL G guys, u were all great.
not surprised at announcement RLY.
At least now ISD can play happily in 0.0 with themselves and maybe Blob. They can all sit round a campfire with CCP and drink Quaff while reminiscing how good everything was how kool the new stuff is and how it all worked out just fine.
EVE just turned a corner, be interesting to see how many follow it or keep on moving.
I don't mean to post negative, but fun element is definately not the same in game now as it once was, even on the back foot there was an element of excitement, but it just doesn't seem to be there now.
The POS issues mentioned b4 are justified as are most of the other reasons quoted for peeps getting turned off what once was a game hard to turn off even in the pseudo dark times.
Seems a lot of what made the game hard to put down is being lost somehow, afraid i don't know the answer.
Anway, sad to hear of this disband, good luck to all of u friends or foe hope if this is a universal feeling things turn round. If not then just ignore my rantings :)
