Then some nice gentlemen in local pointed out how the tracking of my gun affected the way it hits objects. This confused me, then I looked at falloff and optimal range and this continued to confuse me and scare me. Generic Caldari Pilot 2 > So what did you do? Generic Caldari Pilot 1 > What I do whenever Im confused and scared, log off. Generic Caldari Pilot 2 > Did you make it out alright? Generic Caldari Pilot 1 > Ofcourse I did, I dont fly anywhere without atleast three warp core stabs fitted. Generic Caldari Pilot 2 > Yeah, stabs ftw, I would quit eve if there were no stabs or nice safe 1.0 space to infest with eventhough the space is meant for mainly newer players. I bought a new raven so I can continue doing missions with an absence of mind in a ship that does not require thought or intelligience to fly. fireraven	Posted - 2006.05.23 20:16:00 - [155] i personaly have been out of training for caldari for about 2 mounths now im happy to see them get a gun platorm as i all reayd have large guns ready for that ships :) insta damage ganking is fun i aint gonna give up my missle boat for those up clost fights but now i can actualy sniper and my damage get there in less then 30 secs lol SOME MUST BE TOLD OTHERS MUST BE SHOWN

marioman	Posted - 2006.05.23 20:50:00 - [157] I train small and medium rail spec for harpy and eagle...then when i got to L rails i said hey wait a sec....theres nothing caldari has to use them on. So i then got gallente BS for the mega to use t2 large rails. A new Caldari BS with rails (and enough grid to fit them) will be very nice. If you don't have gun skills, don't use it...simple as that. I for one will be proud to park the new caldari BS next to my mega for fleet battles. Atleast now I'll have a choice of which ship I want to wtfpwn from 200+ km with hehe.

I have a baaaaaaad feeling tux is gonna stick the dreaded target painting bonus on there just to **** us minnie users off. Although if it ends up a target painting, armor tanking, missile boat... things might become very interesting.
Lucian Alucard	Posted - 2006.05.23 21:39:00 - [161] Actually to tell the truth Caldari were suposed to be long range and ewar ships all around and the missle ships were to fill the gap of medium to short range ships and the scorps was originally supposed to sit off at long range jam and snipe you while a raven swoops in and pounds the stuffing out of you,now the Scorp has turned totally Ewar dependant due to previous attempts at "balancing" so now there is no long range sniper ship and if your going to moan about using a crusie missle raven to snipe I think you should actually try it in a fight with 50 or more people,every fc on both sides will call you primary for causing evil amounts of lag and having crappy dps. Missle sniping is bad, the rail boats need love more then anything,their damage is low their rof is low,they don't have enough turrets,their defense sucks,they don't have a low enough mass to effectively dance around and popping their enemies because it takes abhorid amounts of cap to warp,so if anything make them have a point in the game and not be a running joke cuz the gal ships do the same job better.

They have ships that are tailored for long range combat with rails. EVERY other Caldari ship class has atleast one ship with bonuses to hybrid optimal, which plays on a Railgun's strengths. The only class which doesnt have a true Railboat is Battleships. Being a true Caldari pilot is as hard as being a true Minmatar pilot. Minmatar have to train guns, missiles, and drones. Caldari have to train guns, missiles and EW. EDIT: To make a point if Caldari arent ment to use guns...WHY did I start the game with this character that had rockets lvl 1 AND small hybrid turrent lvl 1?
