Missiles pwning frigs, etc, used to be validation that you, as an "older player" received the battlefield emminence you think you deserve. Now game balance takes that away and all the sudden there's nothing for "older players to do" with the situation???? Sounds suspiciously like "oh nos, where did my 'i win' button go!" Actually many "older players" have adapted and thrive in Eve, whatever their pursuit, be it piracy or alliance hugging carebearism. In other games this is true as well. In Everquest and WoW things change and guilds rise and fall not on their equipment level, but on their leaderships ability to adapt and continue to master the next expansions raid encounters, etc. But to digress a second. This is not a flame. I suspect that you could adapt and still come out on top due to what I perceive your reputation as being. So then the question is, why are you choosing NOT to adapt?

Most of you guys looked as me as weak and tired ..I'm not..just trying to play the angles ...if I come back and rip off a ton of corps..or come back as a pirate and gank and get a group together..what will this be worth...then I'll get into the allainces..which pirating has nothing too do with these things..only thus of carebears...I'm still active..and ingame...just been keeping a low profile atm... I know I can comeback ..at anything..I could keep my solo pirate corp..and roll..or do what I wish as a solo player..but..my corp I keep too my heart..cause its something I born into this eve...as a corp and players of TLS ..some might be young some might be old..some might be good ..some less..but they all have my respect I have there back in whatever there dreams or goals are in eve..and I let my corp do what they wish..I hold no man too my corp...there free..unlike...most corps in eve..that are all about a corp or goals...thus...is why TLS has and will be something that none has seen..or known other within my corp.. -swish

To your comments...I have adapted and came and also made thus new tactics of pirating..but still..I dont mind changes..my mold is this ...there are pirates that train and give all there skillz into a elite group of piloting or combat skillz and after years of training they cant solo...now I'm not saying solo is the way to..go but thus is what I was into when I came into eve..knowning I could solo and make it as a pirate in my younger days..Me personally I will always be around..and will make due in tactics..my point is this...when people have trained years of there game into a pirating trade..mainly solo ..why screw them out of what they have gained...I dont speak on myself..I adapted too everything..but I'm a voice to the pirates out there that solo and enjoy ganking because they know they have the skillz and tactics..but still is the balance of a big picture...EvE as the game..doesnt want to put what is due to there elite players too hold there own..I'm not saying making unfair ..just make it fair..seriously....if a 30m SP in bs skillz in a apoc or raven gets jumped by all frigs or elite crus..there should be able to hold there own..due too there time and training..not too lay down too a group of noobs..that just started a few weeks back..and dont know what types of ships are ingame.. just my thought..could be wrong but please.debate ..I've been around for awhile..in eve.. -swish

Also, the reality is that combat when it was basically moving towards BS vs. BS fest was getting extremely boring because other ship types weren't viable alternatives. What's keeping you from getting in a crow if you are well foundationed in Raven skills? I'm sure your missile skills are well rounded. Or jump into an Eagle or Harpy. Hang around npc soveriegn 0,0 and stock the stations with all sorts of ships. Pick the one that fits the situation and go own some ****z.

That is not the life of a pirate. If you want to have fun in this game you need to STOP mining/npc'ing/etc...... Otherwise take a few months off to get your interest back. PS. I still hold too my pirate ways..cause some of the best people you will know and understand in eve friendship level is pirates..if you get to know real one ..not just fakes..that feed off of the rep of others that made the roads that so many take... ...I want to know if there is any of my kind for eve now..we have grown since my younger days of eve when we had 10k on and that was awesome..but still with our skillz there isnt a balance...on a pvp look at it ..if we go out in a bs..max skillz and get ganked..by 2 frigs only a year old...what is it too use..the balance between the old and new is thus my question... There seems to be nothing with the older players in eve..back in the day we could take on frigs..with missles or torps..now we cant..cause we cant hit them..even with max drones skilz..yeah you can bs me and say change your setup..but that bs..if you have 35m SP chatacter...against a 10m character you should have the upper hand...even in a bs... I'm tired of this..if I wanted to play like this I would had gone into WOW..but I didnt..cause I beleive in eve thus my time has shown..and my honor of my corp I roll. Let me know your thoughts..good or not..I'll listen and give you my honest thought on it.. -swish can I have all your ISK ^_^

We naturally lose our drive for the game, take breaks and come back but it's never the same. Things change but tbh imo the best thing is to get somebody to really tick you off, to get you back in the game to give you that fuel for your fire. Gives you a nice goal to make somebodies life miserable ingame ofc but yeah dunno if this is what you wanted to hear but yeah a lot of old vets have felt the same. I'm glad there isn't ever a point where you effectively turn on 'god mode' and become elitest like WoW or similar lvl'd games.
