Was just reading the thousandth BoB discussion post on this forum, and it said that Concord got involved in attacking m0o, the old pirate corp. Did Concord actually go into 0.0 and attack them? What happened exactly? Sounds like an interesting story.

lol... someone make a history of m0o thread that I can send people to when they start this topic.
Afaik, m0o operated everywhere, not just 0.0. The GM's once hopped into some concord ships to try and stop m0o from ganking everyone in empire.

Concord deploys special ops (there were also some Scope stories about this, I'll see if I can find them)
CONCORD press release after the event (basically heralding a change to sentry guns)
CONCORD publishes 'most wanted' list (mostly m0o)

m0o camped Mara for a long time and no one was able to break the camp it seemed and carebears kept crying for someone to stop. So CCP jumped in concord ships and kicked m0o outta mara for a day. _______________________________________________ Deadspace For Dead space!

The best part of all of this was that the GMs teleported them from Mara to a 0.0 system, right into the middle of an MO.
Oh, the humanity.

m0o are one of two corps in Eve that have caused the Gms to role out in ships,in this case the gms came in bs and lost thus causing them to move m0o to a different system far away. This resulted in the construction of the Polairs Frigates which can not be jammed have max resistances and are literaly coded god machines. Sig file must be no larger than 24000 bytes. So the huge presence of CONCORD at stargates in empire wasn't around at that time? Or did m0o use escorts to avoid that?
You said the devs moved m0o into an MO in 0.0, what's an MO?

Interesting story... yeah what is MO? And what is the other corp which caused GMs to role out ships?
Btw about those Polaris frigates - its not true, they are pretty killable - BoB managed to take one out in the 64bit test server, while oursulaert was 0.0 with 400+ ppl. Unless of course u also believe BoB can kill gods ---------------------------------------------- All my posts are my own opinions and dont not represent any organization until stated otherwise. |

AFAIR Concord were present then, but nowhere near as powerful as they are now. An MO is a Mining Operation, i.e. lots of miners, no warships.

Originally by: dalman This was very early in the game. Before players had battleships.
Concord was a joke, there were no problem to fight without war declaration in 0.8 systems. Not to mention how it was in 0.1-0.4. At this time, the gate between Mara and Passari was a major chokepoint. Mara was, despite one of the most travelled systems, a 0.4 system. So m0o decided to camp it. And with the lag you were basicly dead before your screen loaded if you warped to the gate. After they had been camping one of the major passages 24/7 for many many days, CCP realized they had to do something.
They made an article in the "ingame news", hinting at what was to come. And then they went there with 4 Concord battleships to force the m0o cruisers away from that system.
That's how I remember it...
thats what happened! :P

It wasn't a polaris frig. It was Oveur in a Jovian Frig iirc. Remember the event where the joves headed over to Calli space for some RP event whatne thiung thing? I could swear it was the same frig as that.
The thing had 4K Shield HP. On a frig!! can't wait until that ****zle becomes available to the player base

Its not Jovian nor Polaris, the 'enigma' is a dev toy using a repainted Daredevil model. It has a 7/8/8 slot layout with above bs sized PG/CPU i think, the ones in this event where running like Pith X-Type XL shield boosters with siege or cruise launchers from what i heard. -------

m0o exploited the hell out of anything they could ingame, and thats WERE CCP failed, they should have banned them instead of soem lame RP with concord.
