I have no Icelandic Krona (ISK), but lots of danish kroner

~420m ISK and probably 45-50b in assets.

I probably bought ~3b or so via PLEX over the years but I have spent much more than that buying PLEX with ISK (4-5 plex per month).

How d'you do that? I mean, I hoard stuff in assets alone, but I try to keep it all in one or two places and I find that if the volume gets above a certain amount I can't add more. Is there a limit to how many assets (by volume) that you can keep in a station? Just out of interest?

There is no limit how much you can keep in a single station, containers have a certain storage volume but your station hangar itself is unlimited.

And most of these assets are ships & fittings - a supercarrier, a dread, 3 carriers, ... it just adds up.

Probably just buggy then; only have issues when it goes over a certain volume. Thanks though.

But you are a serious hoarder if you ever even come close to said limit

It's not really a secret, there are plenty of ways to generate isk, if you understand the game, you just haven't bothered to do the research....

Theres a limit of 1000 stacks per hangar/container/ship cargo/etc and theres a limit as to how many units can be in a stack (forgot the exact number). There is no volume limit in hangars as far as im aware off.

Being a noob is fun I guess? There's always the nagging feeling of getting moar and moar ISK.
For some people, seeing the wallet in green means everything.

Now that I think about it there is a ~1000 different stacks of items restriction for containers, I don't know if this applies to the station hangar and it doesn't depend on volume. I've never run into it myself.

41.5b in cash on the main trade alt plus another...not sure actually, maybe 5b or so spread across all the other characters, but evething isn't reporting correctly so I'm not sure....

And uh, 2.5-3T in assets.

In other words you use alt accounts under another name and separate IP address. Then use insider information to know what to buy and sell.

Far from "one of the richest in the game", really. In the top thousand at best, probably - lots of people who've been in the game and more significantly been making money a lot longer than I have. I'm just far more willing to post about it. Net worth hasn't fallen, though, it's definitely up, thanks to an immense investment in moon minerals back around Odyssey that's continued to grow.

I had never really thought of myself as being space poor before reading this post...

Most made through incursions, a short time in FW and ratting. Oh.. and that T2 manufacturing alt account.

All isk is for supporting PvP. Fortunately my losses have been down for the last couple months and my isk pile has grown.

If you think "doing nothing but grinding" is the only path to wealth then yeah, you're doing it wrong.

It's the only reason why most traders make good money , because the majority thinks that way .

It would be awesome to see the wealth distribution of EVE verse real life.

Given how easy it is to make a modest amount in EVE, and how low repeat outgoing are (at least for subscribers), I would expect EVE has a much, much more equal distribution of wealth than RL.

Once you have 1 million in EVE it is relatively quick to fit out a frigate and make 10 million, then turn that into 100m with trading. And getting your first 1m is just a matter of doing half of the tutorials. IRL though, someone with $10 cannot quickly use it to make $100, much less $1000.

For most, ISK is not a factor in participation of pvp (potential loss).

So is it time to remove isk from the equation and build killboard s that show who won and who lost or a draw.

The time has come for War boards or battle boards.

ISK boards were fun when 1bill loss "meant poverty". Now
It's just "I have to go to Jita quick!!".
