YES THE SERVER DID CRASH, AND CCP HAVE IT WORKING ON IT! No need to worry, no one cares if it's your day off and CCP are ruining it... it'd down, they are obviously trying to get it back up. New Hardware was just put on etc. Don't complain--go do dishes or play with your kids or something... /me out.

CCP hate me i think. They dont want me to learn amarr frig lvl5 i swear! If we didnt have the extended DT it would have been done on wednesday. Now i was just about to finish it and the bloody server goes down!

Or for anti-laser you could just use a big mirror shaped like a satellite dish to reflect it back. And think, if someone hit you with rails/projectiles, they'd have 11 years of bad luck or whatever |

It's all very well to bleat about breaking records for largest number of concurrent users online in a single world... I am begging to any gods listening that soon they will split the server and get some stability to the game - and also let me use the market without a 15 second wait for it up update every time you do anything.
I'm just fed up of getting 2 hours into a mission and close to finishing, only for the server to crash and make me restart.

I doubt the crash has anything to do with the server being overloaded.
As there's very little lag in the game, I'd say the servers can easily handle another 10k-20k people.

Also noticed something wierd before it crashed... just happened to be checking on my POS fuel supplies and noticed one was down to 18 hours in robotics and I didn't get any "Low Fuel" mail to go along with that.... should have been 6 of them low fuel messages in my inbox .... just strange is all ; \

server down means rats are down too...
and as soon as the server is up again your ship automatically warps to a safespot untill you log back onto the game.

Guess when the server went down. Just as I was about to replace my can. It was at exactly the one hour mark.
I am expecting to find all of my ore gone when the server comes back up.
So there are two options here.
1.) Get the server back up within ten minutes.
2.) Refund my ore.

Thx for this new Uberware, it really rocks.
We all recogniced at least 0.1ms in the response time after right-click - show info
It takes now only 1 minute, thats an advantage.
And those unexpected delays, always nice to see that it not "may" happen, it happens always,
so they arent unexpected any more to the players.
Server Crashs even make the gameplay more spicy, you never know how you end up after
relogging, so thx for this feature too.
For the Future we only wish you to implement anything thats described on the Box i bought
3 years ago, then the game should be totaly unplayable, but finally, its finished.

1) At least you DONT have to wait for an hour to get 15 minutes of laggy play.
2) At least EVE doesn't kick everyone off a server when it gets to 9K pop (ok.. well maybe it does at 22K.. but sitll )
3) At least it's up and WORKING for 98% of its life..
unlike another mmorg we might know about....

If you lost a ship or something I gurantee CCP will replace it. Just lose the I'm special WTFPWN you owe me CCP !!! attitude. It's quite ignorant to think and act like that.
If a server crashes happen and you lose a SHIP it's np they will replace it within a few days.

yeargh i was RIGHT in the middle of a pitched battle for a mission...i accepted to missions and planned to beat them both in the bonus time period...now im prolly gonna get back with my ship a smoking wreck and out a few hundred thousand credits...especially since imma have to leave in a half an hour...whats ccp's policy in terms of replacing **** if it gets blown up due to a server crash? i assume they dont reset any mission timers or anything

yeargh i was RIGHT in the middle of a pitched battle for a mission...i accepted to missions and planned to beat them both in the bonus time period...now im prolly gonna get back with my ship a smoking wreck and out a few hundred thousand credits...especially since imma have to leave in a half an hour...whats ccp's policy in terms of replacing **** if it gets blown up due to a server crash? i assume they dont reset any mission timers or anything ooo good just checked 447 second til we can relog

Whining rarely helps. Patience is good. A few thank you's won't go amiss. It's not like they do this on purpose, or want it to happen or get evil glee over the disruption it causes. Stuff happens.

after a server reboot all non secure cans will be gone... no matter what's in it or who's cans it are....
Actually I've had cans last through DT. The base time for cans is 74 minutes + a random amount of time. Maybe their not supposed to last through DT, but they can.

lol why do u want to split the server up, the whole point of eve is to ahve 1 server where everyone plays ont it. i mean for starters how would alliances keep there control of there space over 5 servers for the same place??? how would a alliance defend a station while the enemy are on the other server pwning them?? why the hell would you split the server? the whiole point many of us play is because of its single non sharding server.
yesnit crashes now and then but you should be thankful that eve ahs been created how it is today.

Seriously, guys, I'm not saying that this isn't annoying, but it'll happen in any MMO. The reason we play EVE is because it has a superior gameplay experience, and I don't think losing 20 minutes of that makes CCP sh!t or the game total trash. You know, I'm not one of those who stay connected for 24 hours long. I have only limited time to play EVE and I pay the entire bill without a protest.
When I play I always get the normal downtime, it's ok, they work for us, no problem.
BUT in THIS case I think this is not right: I pay for 30 days of playing, almost 2 are wasted in normal downtime and actually maybe I'll loose 2 other days for these extended downtimes.
This is a game for which you PAY the TIME and such kinds of downtimes make you LOOSE MONEY.
I'll think this when I'll have to pay again for the next bill, sure.
Nice E-3 time advertisement.

Skill learning doesnt go on if you just finished training.
Only really hurts if the server is down so long that you have to go out/sleep for awhile, without starting a new skill.

I wish people would calm down, and think about doing something else for a while, afer working in a computer repair shop for a while i realized that computers arn't that simple, and people who are complaining about the fact they have to pay for this downtime, well really, its like ú10 a month, i earned more than that doing a paper round, so really stop whineing about such insignificant things and just wait untill the server comes back up, you get it with all online games, fact of life

dark how do you work that out? dont you realise that the mission systems are suffering survere lag due to over load of missions being ran by the amount of players within certain mission systems. 1 mission system in particular i saw had over 120 people in it a few days ago. upon entry into the system i was met by 3 missions that were being ran so it put me in insta lag as soon as you warped in.

Yes it sucks to have this happen on a weekend, losing ships in battle/missions, etc.
Also, lots of things still need to be fixed, optimized, etc.
Regardless- CCP has damn good customer service, support, and listening to the community- far more than any other gaming company.
**** look at WoW and their customer service/support. They don't even consider the community.
Stop *****ing about 'downtime' in general, or go play another MMO for a while and see for yourself!

I fully understand that any system can have glitches and I am willing to live with that, but I wish CCP would respond by letting us QUEUE AT LEAST ONE SKILL. That way, we can be training on a short skill followed by a long skill. If the server goes down for quite some time, then at least the long skill training will kick in.
I had switched my training to a short skill just before the server went down. Now I can't be waiting here all day long to see when the server comes up again just so that I can restart some new skill training. Even if the server comes back up again in the next 20 minutes, I might end up losing an almost entire day of skill training. Oh well... I guess I will get my cruiser a day later now.
BTW - I am not *****ing at CCP's dev team. I love this game and I think they do a heck of a job. But I do wish they would reconsider the "no queueing of skills" policy, unless they can be absolutely sure their server will be up 99.99%.

Y'know, whenever you change out hardware on anything, there are always bugs to work out and things you don't expect to occur.
And yet, everyone always complains like CCP does it on purpose...
Or they want free play time or somesuch...
If you don't want to deal with problems, don't use a computer...they crash...it's called life y'all.
Or play an MMO that is free...
Keep up the good work CCP, don't let the brats get you down.
Side Note: I never realized until now that the message window counts how many characters you can type until you run out of room in your message!

Yes it sucks to have this happen on a weekend, losing ships in battle/missions, etc.
Also, lots of things still need to be fixed, optimized, etc.
Regardless- CCP has damn good customer service, support, and listening to the community- far more than any other gaming company.
**** look at WoW and their customer service/support. They don't even consider the community.
Stop *****ing about 'downtime' in general, or go play another MMO for a while and see for yourself!
The point is in making it better, not slagging it off.
Neither of us whined about what has been done or what we have but rather a small simple

Lots of things would be nice, however the point is there are no guarantees in PC/Network issues or downtime NOT happening, be realistic.
In addition as I have stated before, you get way better with CCP than any other MMOG company. Try another game and you'll see all your *****ing here is trivial.
