Why I'm against it should have no bearing on it's being considered a legitimate issue or not, you're trying to make the argument personal, about the person, when you should be focusing on the argument itself, the point.

You cant assume things like this. Just because something is a certain way, currently or in the past, doesnt mean it will remain that way or that it was deliberately intended.

There are several ways to stop me from cloaking and going AFK? Prove it, accept my challenge. If you refuse, you're admitting you can't prove your statement.
CCP makes changes to the game consistently enough to demonstrate that they do feel some aspects of their game need to be changed. Just because something hasn't yet, doesn't necessarily mean something might not be done to address the issue in the future. If the argument you're going to present is "ccp hasn't changed it yet so it's not an issue", then that would mean absolutely zero development or balance changes would ever be forecasted, planned, and implemented because by your logic, the game is already perfect as is. Which demonstrated by CCP, they continuously change their game, they're still trying to get closer to being perfect than they feel it is currently. Proof of lying in thread.

If I go AFK in a tayra uncloaked, there's a very real possibility someone can find my ship and blow it up, which is a risk I assume when I choose to go AFk in my tayra.
If I go AFK in a heron cloaked, there's no real possibility someone can find my ship and blow it up, which is a risk that doesn't have to be assumed by someone going AFK after cloaking.
In a game you'll argue RISK permeates every activity, the activity of AFK cloaking remains defended.
You contradict yourselves. If you truly want Risk to be involved in all aspects of game play, then you must agree with there being a risk associated with going AFK while cloaked.
To do anything else would be hypocritical of your own stated beliefs. Proof of lying in thread.

Yet again he makes a category error, folks.
Here's the difference between an AFK miner and an AFK cloaked player. The miner is making money and effecting the game with no input on his part. Mining, as a concept, is broken, and should be changed to disallow this.
The AFK cloaker, on the other hand, has zero interaction with other players mechanically.

Also, if that's not good enough, I could go afk on one account stationed outside of an enemy staging/basing area.
I could focus on the undocking location, and turn on fraps, recording all activity that takes place within my ship's field of view, to later use that information gathered to profile their activities. All at zero risk of being caught, with the reward of information, information being a valuable commodity.
Now if I were to try and attempt that same activity AFK with a ship that cannot cloak, then anyone could interfere with and stop it. That can't happen with someone who goes AFK in a cloaked ship.
So, because of this, there should be a mechanism introduced by CCP that will eventually uncloak a ship if it's determined the player is AFK. My suggestion would be a button that needs to be pressed at a random 8-12 minute interval, random to help deter against macro abuse. Proof of lying in thread.

Twitch is just a placeholder since most people know that it's a game play streaming website, but there are others.
One could be broadcasting their point of view to their corpmates while they're away at work. Giving their corp mates private, uninterruptable information in real time, with zero risk.

Ok let me make it simpler if you are going to argue semantics
Visual intel is worthless. A DScan gives you exactly the same info.
And you dont have to be AFK to do the things you are complaining about either
You can gather visual intel (for what its worth) by flying around cloaked and active
