Im kinda dissapointed by CCP that they are not releasing more information about this. Im worried that they screw up like they did with WOD. As far as it goes CCP only delivered 1 single game that is successfull and thats Eve online. Everything else is subpar or a total desaster.
It is literally impossible for them to "screw up like they did with WOD". The reason for them failing at WoD is because they couldn't even get close to their vision. At a minimum, EVE: Legion is ALREADY closer to a deliverable product than WoD ever was as it's just a fork of DUST 514. |

I played DUST514 on the PS3 a couple of times, wasn't great in the state I played it in. Very excited for Legion however, all looks pretty good, great move CCP. 
Also DUST514 forums keeping me entertained, that kinda whining wouldn't survive here it is beautiful.

CCP got something WRONG here....COMMUNICATION...guys...there is A LOT confusion right now on what is what.
Facts: Legion is a seperate thing....based on Dust, but its NOT DUST 514. So, Dust514 on PS3 is not evolving into PC/PS4.
Legion is new, different (very), and everything else is unknown ;) That was NOT communicated well in the keynote.
Apart from that...GOGO CCP....can't wait to play EvE-FPS on PC... |

Here's my INTERPRETATION of the situation.
There were a lot of hurdles and challenges in developing our vision on console that wouldn't exist if developing on PC. We made some mistakes and to fix them we need a fresh start. We want to bring this expanded product back to console once we've got it right. It will probably be on PS4 when we do.

Right. The PS3 is terrible at the moment. However, development for games is more possible for simultaneous support of PC and PS4. In that you can develop a PS4 game and port it to PC easier with the PS4 architecture than the PS3. Given that Valkyrie is doing PS4 and PC, it's entirely likely once Legion is started CCP will push to develop for PS4 and put Legion on the PS4 along with the PC. How that specifically would work out is up to CCP to determine, but its a very real possibility and is far easier for CCP to do a PC/PS4 approach with Legion than just try to overhaul and port DUST to PS4 from the PS3.

which is wonderfully horrible, considering they literally just told every DUST player they can forget about everything CCP ever said they would do with DUST and go **** themselves. Because no more integration, no more meaningful anything, hell, no new content, wont even get to transfer your character over to Legion, which is supposedly now the "real game"
They basically pulled an X-Rebirth with DUST. |

Honestly does anyone think Legion will do much better than Dust ? At least Dust had good hype and there weren't a lot of F2P shooters for PS3, while this is: we made one mediocre fps while promising more than we delivered, now here's another one and more promises !.
Obviously more EvE players will play it but i don't think it's gonna be enough to make F2P very profitable and also with Dust and EvE on the same platform one will eat into the other's PCU.
