Hi,
Today I have strange situation.
When I click "Deliver" for job with status "Ready" I get pop-up "Installation Missing - The installation containing the job to be delivered no longer exists."
This is on HI-SEC station and also on second account.
Please Help

I agree; industry changes feel rushed. And postponing it mildly will probably not help.
The discussing about the proposed changes felt like a token. An alibi to keep up appearances. Community involved: check.
If you change core mechanics of the game and there are still open questions then I think you do something wrong. In IT, that is like coding without knowing what you actually want to accomplish. I am really not a member of the "EVE is dying" fraction, but for the first time I seriously worry.

I'm seeing that too. Affected 3 of 4 job runs all at the same location - all in high sec. Weird.
All jobs were started before downtime, and 1 delivered fine. The other 3 won't deliver. |

I'm hoping this gets fixed soon. Two of my four jobs are caught in this. Both of the caught jobs are copy jobs, while the jobs that "succeeded" were Invention jobs (both failed, sadly). I am receiving the same error described for a couple jobs. So it's not fully fixed.
I have several invention jobs that delivered fine, and some manufacturing jobs. But two of my manufacturing jobs are stuck with the "..no longer exists.." error. |

This bug has me stuck in a station waiting for stuff to deliver and get my BPOs back, so I can resubmit more builds. Since I've been glued here for so long, it's compromised my ability to play the game or make ISK in a normal way. Consequently I'd expect CCP to allow jobs to be resubmitted with at least 8hrs off completion time for long running jobs next time. Also I think we should all get an extra day added to paid accounts. This is not the game of Eve I subscribed for. |

Truth is, when you run out of fuel, you don't go into reinforcement mode; you just shut down.

I look forward to all the other mechanics you will wreck by ramming through massive changes without proper testing. If you guys seriously believe that changes of this magnitude and complexity, larger than Apochrypha, are going to be all sorted with at most 6 weeks of testing on Sisi, you are seriously deluded.
CCP, use whatever common sense you have left, stop listening to your null sec cartel "advisors", and postpone this disaster-in-waiting until the fall, and allow for proper testing on Sisi. There are two types of conspiracy theorists. I will provide an example of both.
The birther movement that claims Obama isn't american. No amount of evidence will convince them and they have none of their own. Edward snowden who provided the world with all the evidence available that what the stasi attempted (total knowledge of their citizens) The US and its allies have suceeded in.
Dinsdale belongs in the first camp. There is no point in trying to reason with him. Money at its root is a form of rationing. I submitted 2 manufacturing jobs prior to downtime. I logged off for the night and when I logged in while this crap was happening, I did not take an update of any kind. I received the fore mentioned delivery error on both completed jobs. So the error was on the server side, and since the players supposedly do not have access to change anything on the server side, it had to come from CCP. Since this was an industry error, it would point to something to do with the upcoming industry changes. I am sure we will never get a straight answer as it took quite a few players to finally get CCP to look at it.

You like making things up since you have a tendency to spin people's comments to your line of thought. I never said they were slow. Maybe spend more time understanding what people are writing instead of rushing though the comments so that you can quickly write a fanboi comment. That way you will not look like a fool.
If CCP knew what the problem was and they fixed it. Why did Explorer dodge the question about what happened? I think it is so they can polish a response. But this is CCP - there is no such thing of them doing stuff like this in the past -- lol Striker Out!! |

If CCP knew what the problem was and they fixed it. Why did Explorer dodge the question about what happened? I think it is so they can polish a response. But this is CCP - there is no such thing of them doing stuff like this in the past -- lol

Don't bother. the null sec propaganda team is playing apologists for CCP again. Bottom line, it is completely irrelevant if this latest bug was due to changes for industry or not.
This latest glitch can just be added to the long list of unexpected consequences CCP dev's have experienced, and given the enormity of the changes coming on July 22, and the ridiculously short testing window, it is a virtual given we are going to be faced with some pretty broken stuff.
A wise and prudent approach would be to allow for more than the 5-6 weeks of testing available on Sisi. But hey, they already delayed the industry crap once, so it is damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead.
Most people viewed Orwell's writings as a warning. The harper regime and the goons treat them as a guidebook. |

Let me guess what happend :
Dev1 gets an SMS. Dev1 : "Quick. CCP Explorer is on his way to here. We have to move again." Dev2 : "Where to now?" Dev1 : "The basement. I still have some bottles stashed away there from FanFest." Dev2 : "We never should have run that script without testing" Dev1 : "Testing. Testing. Testing. Testing is for sissies. Live on the edge, man. And now move" Dev2 : "He is gonna find us eventually". Dev1 : 'Nah. it's almost weekend. And against next week someone else will have screwed up something and all this will all be forgotten" Dev1 and Dev2 leave through door 1. CCP Explorer enters through door 2, looks around and scratches his head.

Years and years of experience with developers and DBA's. They show the same behavior all over the world.
If you don't believe that, there is Always option 2 : during Fanfest the CCP building was compromised and the whole thing is now riddled with spycams... All in the spirit of Eve ofc. |

How in the wide world of sports can you be aware of a problem, AND create a valid solution...yet still somehow NOT know what the problem was? I'm baffled by this lack of professionalism and competency. |

That's a bit harsh. It's perfectly possible to see a problem (=there are rows missing in a table), have a solution (=put rows that are missing back in the table) without actually knowing exactly what caused those rows to disappear in the first place. That can either be an explicit deletion (big error) or an implicit one like some referential integrity rule or a trigger deleted that them (stupid error). It would amaze me if the directors in your company would make statements about errors to the general public without talking to the teams that caused them. |

Weekend has come and gone and having checked the rest of the thread there is still no reason given. Have you managed to find out what the problem was?

Probably will not get anything now. The next classic customer service excuse will be "We are too busy working on the release"
They must know what the problem was and what caused it. Not only do they have to know in order to fix it, the higher-ups will want to know what happened to tick off their customer base. The customer service people would definitely want to know so to field the tickets caused. But, this is small potatoes compared to the buffet happening shortly.
Hope everyone has taken their screenshots of their valuable assets, etc -- it could be a bumpy ride after the release. I have gotten to the point of taking out my probes and missiles in their launchers before downtimes as they tend to just vanish every once in awhile. Striker Out!! |

So, the details:
When blueprints are used for science & industry jobs, we move them into a special location so that they are not accessible while being used. After the job completes then we return the blueprint (if it's an original or a copy with remaining runs) or put into a junkyard (copy with no remaining runs).
There is an old bug in the system that causes blueprints to remain in that special location when they should have been moved into a junkyard. There are about 41 million blueprints there now. The aim of this cleanup was to find all those blueprints and move them. The script had an error causing some additional blueprint copies that were a part of a current job to be moved as well.
Through a series of unfortunate miscommunication the cleanup was run by system administrators in Shanghai when the dev team in Reykjav+¡k was on a public holiday, which explains the delayed response. Once the issue was discovered we reverted the entire cleanup. Erlendur S. Thorsteinsson | Senior Development Director | EVE Online // CCP Games | @erlendur |

Thx for the info. Btw if you ever run out of space in the junkyard, feel free to dump some BPC in my station containers. They are at your disposal
