Can someone help me with this, Why do I see this on Sisi II? "Status Proxy Not Connected, 72 Players Version 2 12 4539" And then when I try to connect, I get this... "Proxy not connected to sol servers" So there are 72 players currently playing but no proxy. I've seen this for a while now. There are alway a different number of players but it says the proxy is always down, as far as the 20+ times I have looked at it. |

It worked for a few hours this afternoon and now we are back to the same problems that were occuring all over the weekend. There are definitly some stability issues with some nodes or something dieing at random times  _________________________________________

It seems to me that there are some stability issues. Proxy Not Connected indicates that the Proxy servers are up, but the Sol nodes have all crashed. To put it in simple terms, the lights are on but no-ones home.
As for it indicating a number of players online, I suspect that's the number of players online just before it broke. When the Sol nodes go down, it must be stopping the player count from updating to reflect that no-one is connected anymore. ------- There is no magic Wand of Fixing, and it is not powered by forum whines. |

Well at least it did not happend on Tranquility, and that's the important thing. Let them fix it, there's nothing left to be done and complaining surely won't help them do their job.

Dude, I have the Proxy not Connected error. You have the wrong definition of "All". Read the above posts too.
Try reinstalling the client, in a brand new folder, and then see if you get the right error message.

Can't await patch day of this... Remember that this apparently runs pretty stable for the Chinese beta, yet this code gets a hissy fit on SiSi (on which it ran before, apparently successfully, too).

It isn't really complaining, it's informing, which is the purpose of this thread. The more it is talked about the more info they have to fix it, before it gets to Tranquility. Most of us are just trying to help out by play testing the new client, at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it. I'm Sys Admin, so I know it often takes thick skin to handle day to day problems. I'm sure if they have had enough of the "complaining" they won't read it. |

Still getting 'Proxy not connected' errors when trying to launch the beta code. Even after a reinstall. Now, we might just be waiting for a reboot, but it would be nice if the devs would tell us that external access to the test server is still turned off. I suspect they are still doing internal testing, and we won't get access to the server until the 'proxy not connected' errors go away.
Some proactive notification would be nice once and awhile. heh Either way, we're lined up outside, ready to test, as soon as you give us access.

Have gone from 'proxy not connected' to 'unable to connect to 87.237.38.50' now.
Guess all of Sisi2 is down down. Then new client looks pretty, reading the news and all. --

"Proxy Not Connected" means that the server is broken, not that external access has been deliberately shut off - that would be the "Full Cluster (0)" message. "unable to connect to 87.237.38.50" would indicate that the whole server has been either switched off, unplugged from the network, or is undergoing DT (likely for fixing).

I managed to log on yesterday and found my way to FD- in syndicate, with 20 people in local and about 5 in FFA1 i lagged to hell when i warped in...
So whoever asked about if this unicode would help with the lagg the answer i would give you is...NO... shame, it does look nice in unicode.
When i did eventually stop lagging i died to a vindicator anyway, so maybe i was just meant to lagg and die in a ball of flames :(

ALL opionins expressed here are my own and NOT OFFICIAL by any stretch of the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle.
After a days intense forum wxxxe-ing it seems that there are several things happening on both test servers at the same time. As i understand it SiSi 1 is working on a hotfix for TQ and SiSi 2 is, um, . . . .
I know that anyone who actually reads this sticky to the last post has a genuine interest in the development of the game and probably already knows that ^^^. Like me you can only say - meh, stuff happens
As for those who won't read this far - I encourage those that have the power to slap ***read teh sticky*** notices on all the threads that are already answered here.

looking at the update never would seem to be a posible date thou i dont belive that for one seccond.
And all i wanted to do was to be able to fly a carrier, I have all the skill bar the overley priced carrier skill, come guys split it to carriers and mother ships 460 mil is insane, as it was i had to spend 3 months mining the mins to build the dam thing, and another 4 months grinidng to get the isk for skills and mods to get thsi far, but that last 460 mil is killing me :( ----------------------------------------------

so im guessing when TQ is updated with this new unicode are we looking at a total redownload or will it be a smaller patch lol 550MB nearly for dialup god 100 hours im looking at ah well my PC will be busy for 2 weeks lol.
Well 50 hours anyway - hoping that once its ready we can actually just patch it via a smaller patch will be watching tho wont be testing this one.

when they rebuild the graphics then the large files will have to be rebundled again.. so possibly we are seeing some of that in this test build.
I think that a lot of you need to grow up to be honest and learn what's going on..
Not able to download = NOT ABLE TO DOWNLOAD.. It does not mean Cant connect to the server to play on it. ^^ I think a LOT of you need to learn that lol
DOWNLOAD = INSTALL CONNECT = PLAY
And yea, I'd like to see the servers come up too :) .. But it's a TEST server for TESTING and I think that when your FIXING problems that sometimes you have to keep things OFFLINE while buggy code is GETTING SORTED ---- WTB Aurora S bpo - Evemail me in game.. Went onto the test server last night (unicode client)
I have been on there a few times (when its working) and I must say that some things are better for me,
better being the market opens up alot quicker then normal for me and some UI changes seem to have cleared up the hanging when opening my inbox etc...
BUT (and its a rather big one)
there are bugs (of course there is! hehe) but the main one being the capacitor bug
I'm getting the cap bug all the time it never stops being a problem on this client! its there in every fight or non fight situation - it dont matter if I re-log dock / undock .....nothing
I have bug reported the issue and gave full descriptions and how to replicate for me but I dont need to "replicate it" cause I get it all the time lol
Does all of you have this cap bug issue on the new unicode client?

Yes, the cap bug is one i get all the time. I havnt never got it  The other is the invisible ship after jumping through a gate, i havnt never got that either...
The other annoying, but not that serious if it only stays on this server is the lack of bountys are rewarded for killing NPC's. I know money isnt a big issue on the test server, i would hate to see that bug creep out onto live  _________________________________________

The price of skills on the test server two is a problem, you can get a carrier for 100 isk but the carrier skill still cost 460 mil ;/ ----------------------------------------------
