These sound nice. But how about the most obvious feature of all - search in the skill list. As a newbie, I often have a very hard time finding where the skill I'd like to train is. I'm forced to use EveMon to get the grouping. But why can't I just search for the skill name? |

The World Map CP change is very very very much wanted here <3 to Greyscale for that one.
The changes to skills and insurance are also very welcome here, I'm always a sucker for situations where more information is now being thrown in my direction in clear and easy to read and understand layouts. +1 for more information!

but about the skill queue, how about the option to queue up a skill to start when its prerequisite finishes? I realize this could be an issue with injecting skills you don't currently have the prerequisite for, but what if you could put it in the queue, and the queue injects it for you when ready? So when Large Hybrid Turrets V finishes while I sleep, I would love to have a couple of levels of Large Blaster Spec when I wake up :D *awesome spaceship image* |

The corporation wallet tooltip definitely shouldn't replace the personal one, it should instead be an option to show BOTH personal and corporation. Being able to see the corp wallet balance at a glance will come in very handy, but not at the expense of being able to see my own. |

I am optimistic about the future of Eve right now. The past month or so has been a lot more like the CCP of Old and I'm very happy to see it. Cool stuff being added, little things being fixed and enhanced, and more attention paid to the community when feedback is provided.

Skills stuff is still missing a few simple things that are done much better in applications like EHQ - an example of which would be to show how long it would take to train to each level + cumulative from now.
Would also be nice to see how much training is required before you can inject the skill based on pre-requisites. |

These improvements to the UI are decent but one I would love to see in the future though is a little love for the nearly impossible to click overheat button. Just a TINY bit of enlargement would be go a very long way. Here is a small example that I threw together with my astounding Photoshop Paint skills.

So very much this. I'd imagine the average person who cares about their personnel wallet and corp wallet don't really give a rip about their AUR balance.
It's a meh'ish change, I guess, for corp alts... or people who just use the corp wallet as their own, but couldn't you remove the useless AUR hint and make it list personnel + corp? |

I like the wallet change, it's a good idea. I'm sure the wallet thing helps out the dedicated alts who are only used to pay the alliance bills and the like, but there are a lot of us who handle multiple corp divisions and personal funds on our mains. Having an all or nothing kind of option is very limiting and doesn't help us out too much.
An option to use one of "personal only, corp only or both" would benefit not just the "tool alts" but also the general corp funds users as well.
Is there any chance of squeezing the current corp division name into the popup? some of us deal with several wallet divisions and I suspect there will be quite some confusion at just seeing the amount of the "active one"... which one did I leave active when I logged off again?!
If you do put in a "both" option can you colour the corp and personal information so it's easy to see the different.

But you have the new and improved system info, and it looks the same in both map mode and not map mode  You can see all the system names if you mouse over the colored boxes. CCP Punkturis | EVE UI Developer |

the list on the starmap allowed me to see ALL the systems at the same time, and where i was changing regions. with that, i was able to easily change my way if my goal was to go on a region to check market (so i need the quicker way to it, not a specific system), or to see if i was going some some dangerous systems (example : oh uadema/niarja is on the way, be careful), or near some hubs (ex : i know this place, it's 1 jump from amarr, i could stop here a sec, or add a waypoint)
now i have either to check the mouse to all of them, or search the list on another tab, taking more time.
i'm also pretty consused by the new system which given the constellation and region on the next system everytime, while before it was only telling it when it was different from where we were.
the list that you removed allowed me to see way better the exact way to go though, to make arrangements more easily, and to see clearly what i would see on the way. i'm terrible at direction in real life, and in any game, and losing this feature make me feel lost, as it will be harder for me know to know where i am and where i'm going.

I'd like to make a suggestion about improving a little thing in the UI - time left for completing a mission.
Currently, that info in the mission briefing window is not updated properly - it's refreshed only when you close the window and open it again or if you change a solar system. In my opinion it should be updated in real time, so it would be more handy when you keep the window minimized and restore it from time to time to see the current status.

Out of curiosity, why cannot I inject a skill that I cannot train at this moment?
It would make things easy, as described above, when a prereq skill finished when offline, that training can continue.
Instead of injecting offline, how about we just inject without training?
Obviously I cannot train the injected skill until the prereq is finished training, but why is the injection itself dependent upon the prereq ?
If the injection of a skill is not dependent upon the prereq, I would be able to inject the skill, and schedule the training for that skill when the prereq is completed. It makes sense to me. I cannot train level 3 until level 2 is complete. I cannot train spec level 1 until operation level 5 is complete. They are the same conditions. What has skill injection to do with it ?
If you really want to be evil, make it so that injected skills not trained to level 1 are lost with current implants (and thus show up on kill mails).

I have a decent idea to resolve this easily... can you make the final destination text clickable so that it will pop open a "Show Info" window of the final destination set to the "Show Route" tab. That pane has all systems to your destination listed and It would be a one click solution to the information using pre-existing code on almost every level.

Only problem though is, that the Nyx uses that skill aswell. And there are skills with many more uses. It would be alot of information. Though maybe putting links to all ships that use said skill into its info could be a good idea ^^ Although i'm not sure if that's really necessary

Use case: Often times logi's will need to keep a number of people target locked, right click ->lock target is not as efficient as [hot key] + right click. If possible maybe shift highlight all the pilots then [hot key]+left click to lock all the highlight pilots? wtfe |

1. Take a whole bunch of things that irk players every day they log on and fix them. 2. Tell us about it in a devblog. 3. Have the devs hang around in the comments thread to give further communication/clarification/feedback.
We've now seen this strategy twice and it's generating more goodwill among your paying customers than new features. I love new features too, but a lot of this small stuff is pure aurum. |

Have you tried Ctrl->left click on target in overview? This will lock a target.
I like the shift to highlight followed by Ctrl->left click to target multiple targets at once.

Currently on Sisi the option (in ESC menu) for "Lock windows when pinned" is not there, and my pinned windows can be dragged and resized. Was this deliberately removed? Will there be a way to lock size and position of windows (perhaps a "lock" button on them in addition to the "pin" button?

One little pet annoyance I have had is when you look at the ship skills - it only states it cannot be trained on trial accounts, it doesn't say how training the skill will improve your ships functionality, either in percentage or specifically. Can I also mention about the message you get when you are about to dock - getting TOWED ffs. If that were the case - can I SEE a tug come out of the station and tow me in. If that is to hard too do - how about saying "Hold on while we teleport you into a spare hanger"

I just think nobody else is lazy enough to need 2 right clicks and 2 left clicks changed to a single click and a mostly useless button for something they use very infrequently compared to other changes this team could be working on that irritate more people more often.
also - do you really want to repackage and restack all your organization cans?
maybe the ability to repackage things inside of station containers would be nice.... |

the spaceship command skills don't have bonus descriptions in them because they don't affect every ship that requires them.
frigate skill does not affect destroyers or cruisers or battlecruisers or battleships or dreads or carriers or supercarriers or titans is the most obvious.
as for towing - i guess the message could be changed easily enough? |

go like at level 1 this skill will give you 5 % of this level 2 =10% level 3 = 15% level 4 = 20% level 5 = 25%
i know its not really important but might help new players |

the spaceship command skills don't have bonus descriptions in them because they don't affect every ship that requires them. More importantly, the ship skills have different effects for different ships. It is not practical to list all of the bonuses that the skill provides, especially not with the cruiser skills. The bonuses for ship skills are described in the correct place: in the ship descriptions.
Perhaps a note could be added to the skill descriptions instructing new players to look at the ship descriptions for the bonuses from the ship skills. |

I actually had stopped thinking about it until I read the devblog. Then I realized I do it so often and have done it for so long, that I now automaticly get rid of it without even thinking about doing it. yes id very much like to accidentally hit that and repackage 7 or 8 of my 140 items in station.... along with the 3 cargo containers containing 200+ BM's each in them....

Don't see our concern, we reply our opinion. Some bloggers understand the TLDR, and a sharp blogger would have had CCP Guard edit and update the OP with something new you are addressing or updating for such concerns.

perhaps you should wait to reply until you CAN read all of the comments, or at least skim them, instead of defending rude behavior and contributing to arbitrary thread length. punkturis has been posting responses to this thread for many hours on her own time at home,I would consider this to be something you would want to reinforce with good behavior rather than prevent it by being a jerk without any useful contribution such as the suggestions made by earlier concerned posters on the same subject.
TL;DR - don't rage post, especially in response to the first thing you read.

You've misused (possibly misunderstood) Passive-aggressive. This is not a competition between dev teams, we're all on the same team - working towards the same goal! Papercuts, BFF and Pink Zombie Kittens were all picking items from the same backlog, trying to make things nicer for our players 
There's more people involved in a story than a programmer. A game designer sets it up, a UI designer might make a design for it, a programmer does stuff and then QA tests it.
Those changes, took me less than a week but they're still nice improvements for many, but I worked on UI Scaling too as seen in previous dev blog.

When you look at ships info box in skills tab, you see what skills you already got trained and what not. Now after this blog we will see that in individual skill info box too - whats nice! But do you know what I realy wanted? When you are in ships info recommendation tab (where are certificates listed for that particular ship), you can't see what certificates you have leardned, and what don't. It whould realy help if you could look that information.
From my post we have one week until full winter expantion release. But it's very minor fix. Can you make it until expantion? How long does it take to fix it?

My theory still is that benevolent aliens abducted CCP Hilmar and replaced him with a clone.

1. Ability to set a container or cargo-bay to 'auto-repackage' and 'auto-stack'
2. Simple button / menu-item to 'load' the selected items from an open container / hangar on board the currently active ship
3. Simple butun / menu-item to 'unload' the selected items from the cargo bay to the items of the stations
4. Look in containers when fitting a ship from a saved fitting in stead of only the items in the hangar

Overall a nice set of changes to have. One question though: On TQ I notice that if I open my character sheet after logging on, I don't currently see the skills waiting in the queue. Once I change my skill queue I do see those items in the character sheet. Has this bug been fixed? |

Aurum-displaying is never interesting for anyone of us, even if you are seeking to buy stuff from that store you only need that information right then, Isk is always relevant. And while Aurum has very low relevance to a few pilots, it has zero to most. It makes no sense at all to have a gigantic display blocking our wallet-view to display something useless, no? More options is good, let us remove it please. this is a signature |

You still need to remove Aurum tho. You remember the old wallet content display before Aur was added? Then we only actually had one thing displayed, but when Aur was introduced, it was put in there with a big font, completely taking over the wallet display. Now we're stuck with a tiny wallet text and a (pardon the phrase, but this is exactly what it is) a ****-blocking Aur-display. It's a gigantic insult in our face, that not only takes up more space than the relevant information, it also happens to be.. you know, irrelevant (to almost everyone, and for the few others, it's useless 'at most time').
The least thing you can do is to add a setting for that Aur-display too. It's not like we requested that repeatedly back when it was added in the first place. And it's not like it's gotten less annoying and ****-blocking over the months.. And it's not like it should be very hard for you to add a tick-box. Come on, we all know you want to promote it, and we all know barely anyone uses it. Right now you're ruining a good addition (the corp-display option) by being stubborn about maintaining something that is a) useless and b) annoying.

Actually, you were wrong (this time).. I did read your response to him, but I only glanced through what he posted. After all, he's just a player and his opinions are quite irrelevant to me. 
Either way, nice to have it cleared up, and a big thank you for getting rid of the Aur, finally. It's been a nuissance for a long time for me and some friends, and to be fair, I never thought I'd see this day coming, after suggesting having it removed and/or optional so many times.
Two things to add: a) good of you to keep responding and/or reading this thread, that's something CCP could do with alot more, and b) in general, when you're changing stuff like this, the base rule is "more options is better". Players want to customize their clients to reflect their interests/appeals, so if you're editing displays and tools.. add optional displays, if you can.

Player opinions do matter though, I've often done stuff pointed out by players..
..and I have to disagree with you on the "more options is better" - sometimes you don't really need to have options to customize ALL THE THINGS, that just makes the UI more complicated and less usable.

Related to aurum tool-tip thing: I know it's too late for this patch, but perhaps for next patch, (have option to) remove aurum function from wallet completely (unless there is a balance). Most people I know have no NEX stuff, and abhor MTs, so we don't really want to see that currency anywhere near eve, especially after the MTs crisis in June. |

No, don't.
Maybe a stack all button would be nice, but repackaging "everything" would be a PITA, especially if you store things in GSCs. If there were an option to skip containers, I'd be cool with that. However, it would be nice that when you drag stuff from one container/hold to another container/hold without the second hold window open, the items automatically get stacked. I'd say skip AUR. Its not essential information, and when you go to use it, you have to be staring at the appropriate market windows anyways. You don't collect AUR via missions, or fleet battles, or market transactions, so, seeing that in the popup is a waste of space.
If you really want to make everyone happy, make that popup "customizable". Always show personal, optionally (and separately) show corp and AUR.

This would become a serious bore after a while, as cool as the thought is. its the same representation as what WiS was about, and all the hub-ub that ensued when we were forced to go WiS or stare at a door. Going with WiS mode just meant more time spent loading graphics, rendering them, etc, only to see the back of your person to re-launch a few seconds later after you were done switching ships, dropping/picking up cargo, etc.
Time is of the essence. Would be neat to see a tug come out, but, it'd never be used due to time constraints, especially if you're in a war. |

and then everything else.
It's a minor annoyance but i always hate having to scroll down the list when I'm trying to set the auto pilot to a system. Shouldn't be too hard :D |

Programmer should program, but they also could post every now and then as their posts generally are about 100x more clued-in to the inner workings of EVE than your average community manager.
And no, no offense to any community managers intended, the post-fu skillz needed to herd an army of old bittervets as bitter as EVE players is considerable - the problems only start when community guys become a broken telephone between players and coders over some issue they do not fully understand and information is lost when communicating, both directions.
At which point a programmer that can post is epic win.

I would like to see filter option (for skills) in character sheet, say next to open skill queue button. Its currently not so intuitive, that if i wanna train for t2 target painter, i check the prereqs from the mod. next i have to figure out which group of skills target painting is and find it from huge list of skills. with filter option i could just type "target p" in the filter list and apply skill into queue. |

Dunno if someone's aleeady mentioned this; but the Overheat UI/Controls can be quite aggravating... Lack of instant feedback, option to toggle rather than turn on/off. I've burnt out many modules in the heat of battle; mostly I blame my lack of player skills, but a significant portion I blame on the UI.. Please fix? :) All games have QQ, but only Eve has Q.Q |

I can touch everything in the UI but it's always up to the team what we do (in my case Team BFF) - I can't just go around doing anything I want.
Team comes up with stories, we implement them as a team

That looks rather anoying indeed, +1 on getting this more user friendly. Was nothing wrong with the dots tbh, better yet i never had issues reading my wallet status, i have more issues with PI output readings etc they hurt my eyes >< |

Great improvments.
Will help us a lot. One more improvement that can be really helpful for mission runners.
You've changed the view of the agents in stations and now players can see if the mission is accepted or just offered. Why not to write also if the mission is completed or failed?
This will be really very helpful for FW missions runners and it will help them a lot. |

Suggestions of changes:
aggression: If someone is attacking is aggression 60s, and a problem here.
60s to 120s change: jump over the gate
Why? 60s, is far too short, especially for smaller fleets. Attacked: you have to reckon with the Consequences
60s to 300s change: the docking station
Why? Like at the gate, but ends camp station, where a bunch of idiots doing nothing else, just waiting for undock. Attacked: you have to reckon with the consequences
Aggression for logistics: When logistics, repair another ship, which is aggression, that aggression is ALSO logistics. Why? Station Camp. where carrirs repair other, and when one is attacked logistics are just docking, and after a while Undock with full cap / shield / armor. This does not make sense
As logistics ship repairs WITHOUT aggression, the logistics of course it is not too
Global criminal flag: As someone has GCF, then for 15 minutes should not dock, and now wait a minute, dock and waits until it runs out GCF

Sorting by time would be somewhat difficult given the current UI formatting, as there are no fields to sort by, and time is displayed based on the skill. This isn't to say that a combo box could be added that'd give options on how to sort, like, name, time, SP/Hr, and so on.
No disrespect to you, your request, or what your feelings are towards external tools for EVE, but EVEMon has this built in, and I've started using it as I describe below more so than the tree listing given with the "SORT" option set to "NO SORTING". I've been using EVEMon since I started EVE pretty much (And I just realized what this part of EVEMon is all about.... *bows head in shame*)
In EVEMon, if I don't care for working on any of my current plans, what I do is select any current plan I have made, go into the Skill Browser, set the filter to show KNOWN SKILLS, then sort with either "Time to Next Level" or "Time to Level V". From there I can select the skill I want to see, and the right pane will change to show me what I need to make the decision to set or not. I like "Time to Level V" more than "Time to Next Level" as I don't like hovering over the skill window with all the short timed skills that I COULD use later. ;)
So if there is a skill I absolutely want to get to level 5, and nothing else, I'd make a new plan, name it something knowledgeable (Unlike my post here), find the skill to train up to 5, mangle the skill list order to show that plan, and just concentrate on that.
TRUE that your suggestion would be nice in-game, but, we'd PROBABLY only be given the "Time to Next Level" equivalent. |

I have an issue with my chat and stacked windows. Normally I have my windows stacked, if they can be stacked, like market, assets and such. But when I talk to my agent for the first time each day, the window of the conversation stacks with the others but not the mission describtion that I have to open manually via the journal now.

After undocking its seperated agein.
The next problem is the chats are not saving the stacking order except local. I sorted them to local - corp - alliance - player channel1 - player channel2. But after each login, they are sorted to local - alliance - corp - player channel2 - player channel1. Its very annoying to reorder those windows after every login. |

if this thread is still actual some attention are needed for PI
- Planetary office needs more space, so you can add upgrades for them or just add more space because that each day launching is annoying :)
- Planetary launches must have less time then 5 seconds between them, because each time you click transfer and get message to wait its frustrating and even some times office customs window just disappears, with is bug i think ;)
