Therefore on the results section, you can calculate your profit better given the assumption that you need to purchase the megacyte.
Hmmm seems as if you catered for this somewhat, I had issue updating costs on the manu screen, but it worked now and profit / loss seems correct. |

Added Assets page. Assets page imports all your active characters assets. It's still in beta so be aware. Make sure you have AssetList ticked on your API key.
Asset list also has "Add to warehouse" button for each item, so you can interact with warehouse more easily.

Hi Acid Kanshi,
first eve-cost is an awesome tool already .... ;-)
I use it for a couple of weeks now for my T2 Ship production and found some things that could be improved a bit.
Most important: Recursive Calculation.
If I use the production calculator to calculate a Widow, I get a list indicating the need of some T2 Ship parts. All of those are manufactured by myself and not bought on the market.
It would be perfect if I could set a checkmark and enter ME and PE for those parts that I want to produce myself and save that configuration for the Blueprint alongside all the other information that are stored already.
At least clicking the calculator beside those compound parts should open another production calculator page with all the data properly prefilled that was indicated for that item (Item Name and required amount).
The Cart I:
Putting a calculated Item X Blueprint (eg. 10 Runs, 100 Units, 20 times) to the cart results into an entry like that: 20 x Item X
I would like to see an entry like: 20 x Item X (10 runs, 100 Units)
The actual one did confuse me quite often already if I plan for ships with different run amounts.
The Cart II:
Actually the Cart is used for two different but incompatible jobs:
1) Shopping list 2) Actual initiation of production
Due to the fact that I produce all the ship parts myself the cart gets cluttered with subcomponents that are not purchased at all. Just removing those entries would not help because the cart itself is used to trigger and track the production jobs (Delete to calc). It works but well, better to seperate things that do not belong together ....
Suggestion: Introduction of Production Plans and a Production Queue
The idea is to have a tool to assemble a comprehensiv production plan for a certain production package and a queue (list) that can be used to work through all required manufacturing jobs to build that package.
For a Widow Package for example that would incorporate: The production calculation for the basic material list of the widow blueprint The production calculation for all the sub items The production calculation for all the Moduls and Charges I like to include The invention (cost) calculation for all requried T2 blueprints to get a proper price for the package
If I need a variation of such a package (different modules or invention decryptors or like), I just want to copy the whole plan, rename it and then change some parameters or elements. Over time, this way I will have a nice collection of package plans to reuse. A big time saver. Sounds a bit complex but at the end of the day such a package plan element is just a collection of some Item ID's together with an amount and some parameters and Flags for each ID. Actual prices are taken from the market or the warehouse only when such a package plan is reviewed for production decision making or during initiation of the actual production.
Planning an actual production run would be easy now. I just open my predefined Production Package and add the required number of the package to the cart (This amount per package should be changeable in the cart any time).
Inside the cart all items that need to be taken of the warehouse or purchased on the market should be listed with regard to the actual stocked goods. Items that are selected as locally produced should be taken off that list.
Within the Production Queue everything that needs to be manufactured, should be listed in a cummulativ way. The calculated amount of things to produce should take into account what already is available in the warehouse. As soon as all materials are available that are required for a certain item production run, the 'Delete to Calc' (probably better name: 'Forwarded to production' ) link should be provided. A deletion is not necessary, because as soon as the item has entered the warehouse the demand, that has caused the enrtry to appear in the queue in the first place is fullfilled. It will disappear automatically.
With such a plan based shopping cart, planning multi package production sessions will become easy. Even changing the whole production planning on the fly (cause of changing damand or market) will be no problem. That's just beacause procurement management and production control is seperated now..
Hope that's not tooo big a wish. ;-)
Best regards Harlekin |

Thank you for the input, very valuable suggestions.
That production queue is yes easier to make and would make it a lot clearer. Although I have invenvtion queue planned as well already, to filter out successful and unsuccessful invention jobs, so you would process successful T2 BPCs to "invention hangar" with correct price, me/pe and runs.
I'm gonna put some thought into maybe making a queue page which has them both in one page. From where you install manufacture jobs and process blueprints into hangar. Something like that.
About T2 manufacturing in general, yeah I really need to make some features to make it more humane. Currently it is confusing at first and can be difficult to do everyday.

I fixed the bug with the manufacturable material calculator button opening empty calculator. Now it should open that specific material calculator. This bug was introduced when I changed the url paramters syntax. Sorry.
Currently you can save ME/PE numbers of a blueprint by clicking "Save Settings" in Item Settings box on manufacturing calculator while having open the some blueprint.
To save your own manufacturing price for example "Quantum Microprocessor" as a material. Use the "Save Price" button in the General Results box in manufacturing calculator, while having "Manufacture Cost" ticked in the radio button option. Then you can open for example Widow calculator and just do "Get Saved Prices" and it would get saved prices, for all the materials, which in case of "Quantum Microprocessor" it would get that price you saved earlier on the "Quantum Microprocessor" calculator page.
I know it's a bit confusing and actually not comfortable to use. I will improve it at some point and make it more dynamic and detailed.
About the pre-defined packages. Yeah the idea is good, but I see it as a feature for future, gotta fix and improve those smaller features first.
Thanks again for the awesome post. EVE-Cost is a manufacturing tool for EVE players. http://www.eve-cost.eu |

Added item copy parser to warehouse. Basically it's another way to add items to warehouse manually. Details or List view in inventory in-game allows you to select items and then copy them by using simply ctrl + c key combination. This way you can just ctrl + v that to the copy parser textarea and press Parse.

Would it be to much of a request to tune the priority of that T2 Blueprint to Warehouse thing somewhat higher?
Actually I have to recalculate the cost of a T2 blueprint using the invention calculator merily on a daily basis by now. Copying that cost figure into clipboard and pasting it into the Blueprint Price field of the Manufacture calculator is manageable but not too comfortable.
I would like to see those BPC costs at the manufacture calculator retrieved from the warehouse automatically if there are such costs available. Having those common 'Get XXX Prices' buttons alongside as well would be probably more or less useless because those BPCs are available by contracts only, if at all.
At the invention calculator, having a 'Process Blueprints to Warehouse Button', like at the Manufacture Calculator, along with the number of actually succeeded jobs entered manually would be charming then.
With the above already in place, rolling out the queue idea for manufacturing and invention later (by Xmas ?) would be the sweet topping of an already very delicious tart....
Acid, this tool really rocks! And it get's better every week....! Thx man!

I'll finish the research calculator then I will start working on your request. Actually that invention BPC management is in critical need condition in my own business as well. EVE-Cost is a manufacturing tool for EVE players. http://www.eve-cost.eu |

That's right. But what if I gonne clear a lot ot the them or just all? With my 100+ stock items editing them one by one is a nice kind of a nightmare, isn't it?

Can you please return the Refining Calculator option. I found it useful to help me choose what Roids to hunt. It was more useful than the http://eve.grismar.net/ore/ because yours would update and static values could be stored.
An additional feature that I would find would help complete this tool would be a Refine or Sell; Similar to the one on EveIndustry.

Added Queue. Queue is basically a list of shopping carts. It allows you to make new shopping lists(projects) while existing projects are still waiting for materials without mixing or confusing with other lists or projects. If you see something fishy please report all bugs asap via eve-mail or forum topic.
New projects are added from Cart.
Project saving is coming soon too. So you can save projects and load them anytime without having to make new lists everytime for alike recurring lists. EVE-Cost is a manufacturing tool for EVE players. http://www.eve-cost.eu |
