Have u imagine guys, someone irl 'll offer for you to come and enjoy new bar (pub)... But day by day you'll go over there u'll find a close doors... How many time you gonna visit close door???

You could try playing on, like, Tranquility or something
Anyway I suspect it's been patched over downtime to fix various issues. They just haven't released the patch yet.
(Was working before downtime, incidentally. Albeit with the cap/shield display bugs, and an invisible ship)

If you can't accept the fact that SiSi is a test server, and that it lies in it's nature to be subject to unstability and bugs of all sorts, you have no business on SiSi anyway.
That said, a cluster with a bit more muscle would be nice, to reduce lag and ease testing. You can't blame them for having reliability problems with their test cluster, though... ----

Do you realize what SiSi testing have a straight direction to the next Tranq patch? maybe I'll remind you what time was announced kali year ago??? (Q2) and I would like remind you as well: there wasn't any idea's about Kali 1, Kali 2, Kali 3 and etc...
There was and still: Kali Q2 not more, not less... Features
And you are calm. I'm not a fool and I see far deep in situation over Eve... If you don't see that, you problem, but 1 thing: as more we'll be quiet than more we'll wait for next patch... I'll not accept that and I'll remind CCP here or there time to time about their mistakes...

The fact that Sisi is having problems isn't a big deal. It will be released on Tranquil once it has been tested enough.
I think you need to chill out, and play on "Tranquil" |

Ah, that explains it, I can't see "far deep in situation," so I obviously have had my brain washed (I haven't been brainwashed, mind you, because that's an actual word). You pay CCP however much money per month to play their game. They give you access to their test server if you want to help them. The vast majority of people who test are level-headed enough to realize that they're participating in an equal trade; a glimpse at new features in exchange for some downtimes and bug submitting work. If someone doesn't view it as an equal trade, then they won't test. But they don't call CCP out for being some evil company just because they don't leave a test server up all the time.
Originally by: Voin as more we'll be quiet than more we'll wait for next patch
Obviously if there was no player demand for new stuff, CCP wouldn't make any. There is demand for these things, but it's a polite demand. People have asked for fixes, upgrades, enhancements. CCP has said that they're working on new stuff, and has shared some of the details with us. Most people can accept this and wait (or actually help CCP test), but the fact that you want to start some cyber-revolution to just yell at CCP until they release a patch tells me that you're a bit too immature for that. Please, calm down and give it a few hours, even a few days. Better yet, forget that the test server exists. Let CCP do their job; if you work with them instead of against them, you'll find it's a much more rewarding experience.

Disagree with you about yelling by me... Yell in my view is a speech with no reason, but Reason is a PROMICES by CCP... wich I remind and would like have an action faster than they had so far...
Cyber-revolution is a good idea in case when my Own interest crossed over by someelse interest (read china server) and I like to struggle to protect my Interest by word's or any other action...
Am I anger u might be interesting?: - Yes, I'm... so I would like to re-phrase you word's: "Lets push CCP to do their job!"
P.S. They won't I'll work with them, they cann't orginize the field for work with them.

Edited by: Narc0tiq on 01/08/2006 03:13:30 Personally, I can see both sides of the issue here: on the one hand, SiSi being down makes release of new content slower/more bug-ridden for lack of testing. At the same time, SiSi being down is just a fact of life, like any other - it happens.
Now, I'm too new to really worry about either of these points - SiSi doesn't even know me yet, lol - but I do think both sides are pushing it just a wee bit more fervently than the other would like.
If speaking ill of SiSi being down - as often as that may happen - is such a Bad ThingÖ, then eventually it may never be up again.
If defending the devs is a bad thing, they'll feel unsupported, and to tell you the truth, I don't like that either - they are wonderful people and deserve our support.
So: no more insulting each other's language, and no more calling people brainwashed. Both sides have their points, and both have spoken. There doesn't need to be a flame war over this, does there?

I am a technical lead in a team providing messaging services (eg Microsoft Exchange and tons of other services) for a sizeable firm in the UK of 15,000 employees. I also run a test environment. If I were to run it like CCP run's SiSi, I'd be out of a job.
As several people have pointed out, CCP are asking for more testers, yet those that spend the time downloading ~500 Mb of "patch" are treated to "nothing". Nothing to try, and no information. The latter is the worst.
I, like others, want to help. I, like others, don't post very often. I, like others, have played a long time and want to see successful deployments of Kali.
BUT. I can see the future - oh yes, I can!
"Kali is delayed, because of lack of player testing".
That'll be the headline.. and why? Because the test server for the unicode "branch" is hardly ever working, and that (I read it earlier I think) is a pre-req to getting the Kali stuff sorted out.
Either if something is broken it's broken. If a test server isn't available properly for the end-users (ie us, and I'd assume Bughunters) for a couple of weeks, then testing slips by a couple of weeks, no? If testing slips by a couple of weeks, deployment slips by a couple of weeks, no?
Issues about the test server should be discussed here. Sharkbait, and others should take them to CCP management and "get the real issues fixed".
Just like I would have to do in the real world with my environment supporting 15000 concurrent users.

ok. 1st of all i don't start the sticky topics to discuss other peoples languages. it's totally off topic and totally not needed here.
2nd. you don't know the full list of the problems we have had lately with sisi and it's hardware. alot of the problems have been fixed now and should improve stability.
3rd. we are testing a completely new code base, so there will be problems to start with. worst 2 problems as yet are that the server doesn't talk to the client correctly and you can't connect to the server unless you are running windows XP with service pack 2. we know about these problems and are fixing them. i think it's better we try to fix these on the test server, even if it means breaking it rather than testing on TQ.
4th. i'm on holiday. leave me alone
ps: there will be a patch made today.

I can connect to SiSi with Windows XP but service pack 1 .
So maybe just the entire XP client allows you to connect to SiSi but the others don't such as Win2k?

Ok. So i patched the test server with the new patch (the one ending in 2) and tried logging in.
The server repeatedly said it was starting up in 5 seconds, then said it again, and again, and again etc.
So i waited and tried again later, but now its saying "Status: Unknown" again.
Any idea on whats wrong or when it will be up?

The server was up and running earlier but it would appear that it is now in a state of not working
But im not sure what the patch did... I presume something server side as the glorious "capacitor bug" and "invisible ship after jumping through a gate bug" are still alive _________________________________________
