nope. he's not. the server is alive and ticking just fine. your problem is you are connecting to the wrong servers. instead of connecting to the ip addresses, select singuality from the server selection box.

I've been getting a status message reading, "Proxy not connected, 36 Players" for a few hours now myself. If I try and connect anyway I get a message box that says, "Proxy not connected to sol servers."

Yeah there's definetly something wrong with the proxy.
"Proxy not connected, 36 players." Make up your mind server.

I'm connecting to the server just fine, although the first few times I tried I got disconnected.
There are a few bugs, though, that are pretty bad... the shield/capacitor/(even armor!) one is pretty bad, I sometimes start taking armor damage at 80% shield, and there's a starbase bug where you can't actually move the arrows when anchoring starbase structures. Bad bad bad. Filing reports now.
(Oh, and it seems that this new client is causing a massive performance slowdown on my computer when running multiple clients)

Any Solution to this Problem? or a direction on where to look for this problem? This is showing 90 people online with 1 in que. I have never logged into this server yet.
When this fails and gives me the above message. refreshing the connection reports unable to connect. if i totaly shut down the client and restart it. it reports people online and someone in the que again.

iŠve tried everything to get on.....i try test server and the proxy thing comes up....i try TQ server and this comes: Incompatible (Region). but in the client i got to get to TQ it doesnŠt say the proxy thing only incompatible , and if i select Test server in the selection box again it comes the Unable to connect to......

I submitted a bugreport, with the Guide to Easy Bugreporting. Included all the files I could. Hope it helps figure out the issue with Proxy not connected.

Connecting the unicode client to tq will get you banned.
the Unicode client shows up as a modified client and the gm's see it and BAM... Id' suggest not logging in with the unicode client to tranq (not even attempting) :P

I was able to login for a few hours yesterday afternoon (EST) then I got disconnected a bunch of times and have been getting the proxy not connected error message ever since.
Any workaround for this? Or is my proxy just hosed?

Just a little note to those of you who don't know what "Proxy not connected" means: this error refers to the structure of the EVE clusters. It has nothing to do with you, your network or any proxies you might connect through.
The short way of telling you what it means is "the server is down". For a technical, more complete explanation, peruse this DevBlog.

If the Server is Down. Why am i seeing 90+ people online, then proxy failure. then restart client and still see the same people online? that doesn't sound like a down server to me.

We have just got sisi fixed and updated to version 4551. as soon as the patches are ready they will be available on the patches site. they are currently being built. if you are reading this an hour after it's creation date, then they are built so go download and test like you never tested before.
Why client by your link in "client" have 559 Mb size, and the same full client in the "atches site" link have 586.58 MB??? The same version 4539?

It's a old error (nothing to do with ccp)
the patch is 586,581,610 bytes, that's 559 MB after conversion (1048576 bytes make up 1 MB)
Why the industry went with something like this is a bit odd but it's because of the binary stuff behind it
2^20 = 1048576.
Anyhow, there ya go (and the website should probably just say bytes) :P

And the latest version is 4551 not 4539 so dont try to connect to the test server with 4539 cus it wont work

Yes and you have to d/l the 4539 patch before patching up to 4551 I'm guessing.

No. You either download the 4531 -> 4551 patch if you already had the unicode client or you just download the 4551 client which is the big download if you dont have the unicode client at all.
