You asked a question that has been brought up numerous times, and each time has been both Logically (for example, on the 360' thread, the arugment that a 360' was cheaper than a PC was brought up, But to get the same quality graphics you can from a computer on a Tv screen, you need the best possible HDTV, plasma Screen IIRC, to match a High quality (read 200 dollars US, my PC back home could do it,) 1600x1200 res monitor) And Emotinally (see that huge back and forth you had up there). Which is that hardcore PC users recognize consoles for the overpriced toys they are. While hardcore console users are thinking pretty much the same thing about PCs. The bottom line though, is that no console has the gear or power needed to run a game like eve well. And on top of that, the average demographic for console users is not the kind of demographic that EVE wants, or would be be apealing to. So no eve on consoles.

However, do I like the PS3? No I do not, or the Wii and especially hate the X360. But lets not get off-topic about why they suck. It's not up to me or you if EVE is launched on a console platform, however the chances of CCP actually considering this is highly unlikely. If you play EVE and ever played on a console with a KB attachment, you would know, it would suck major arse trying to do missions, hunt rats or rat yourself. Also, not to say this about every console gamer but most of them are young kids whom are still nubs to the MMO scene. Asking retarded questions such as: "LOL, LIEK HOW JOO MINE 4 FISH?!?!!!11" and... "LEND MONIES 4 A NOOB? LOL!!1". It will all go downhill from there. If you have a console, and wish to play EVE, my only suggestion is graduate at least from middle school, buy/build yourself a nice computer, download EVE and let the fun commence.

The Cell processor has only one general purpose processor and 7 specialized processors which also leads to higher development costs and long development times. And if they don't spend the extra time to code for those specialized processor the PS3 will actually be slower than the other consoles. Cell processor yields are in the toliet. PS3 has the smallest launch lineup. Developers are leaving in droves and are working on Wii games instead. The Wii will have the largest launch lineup out of any console.

(read only the first and last pages) AFAIK, PS3 doesn't allow you to download any given software and run it does it? If not, this means you're unable to use helpful programs such as evemon. More importantly, it would mean no ventrilo/teamspeak which is essential to group pvp. This would require all theoretical PS3 users to pay per month for the upcomming in-game voice chat which everyone else in their gang would also need to pay for (I'm under the impression that that is how it works).

And since the core prossesser in the PS3 can run linix it is posable to port it over. Although drivers for the PS3 hardware would be a nightmare. 3. the PS3 will never surpass a top of the line computer. to sum up, yes it is possable to make it work, no there are no plains to do so, and in my opinion it would be a bad idea for many reasions, most of witch have been stated here allready.

So my point is that his links make no point at all, and i didnt bother reading the rest :P.

To each their own, but anyone who calls themself a gamer has to be excited at what the Wii is bringing - in fact they should be wetting their pants. Miyamoto and Iwata-san are in this for the LOVE of games not for the money and that's reflected in everything they do. They take risks and sometimes it pays off (DS) and sometimes it doesnt (Virtual Boy). Where's Sonys innovation? They pump out cookie cutter platforms which ride along on the success and popularity of the 3rd party titles which they manage to gain exclusive rights to due to their ridiculous budget. It'll be interesting to see how this overpriced, oversized monstrosity fairs without the likes of the GTA franchise to keep its head above water. I guess you could call me a nintendo fanboi (why not, I grew up with nintendo, and they have never given me reason to doubt them), but the fact I rate the xbox 360 as a platform in its own right means im not unreasonable. What is the PS3 bringing to the table that hasnt been done before? /bite
