First for those who don't know me, I have played eve since it came out, been trough CA, The Five and now have my own corp with over 100 main accounts.
I do love eve mostly for the fighting, so my wishes hits those subjects most.
1. Make fighting fun, long POS wars are not fun, but long fleet battles rule, so could you do someting to make the ships last a little longer, so we all can have more fun?
2. Remove all bookmarks within 20km of a gate and just let everyone instant warp to the gate by default. I so hate copying BM's and bubbles, interdictors and tackling on the other side of the gate works fine.
3. Do something about local chat, it was newer ment to be a system radar for 0.0 systems.

1) More stories, that are completed 
2) More T2 BPO's, especially one or 2 for me.
3) Longer battles sounds good. Just reduce RoF a bit on all weapons.
4) Fix lasers.. somehow

1: A more advaned crafting system
2: more resources, other than just mining minerals, mabye more diffrent minirals, wich all can be used for ships, but they give small advantages/diss advantages kinda like more and better armor, but less shield and Hull...

1) Probes that actually work- quickly and effectively. 2) Implants that show up on killmails when you pod someone who had them. 3) A complete remodel of all of the ships in Eve making them more symmetric and/or just changing them completely so that they look half way decent. (prime candidates: Dominix, Moa, etc.)

1) I agree with Gunship about bokmarks.. Remove all bookmarks within 20km of a gate and just let everyone insta warp to gate by default (so long as you manually warp). So the only ways to camp a gate is by getting ppl on the other side or use bubbles or interdiction spheres.
Most of the 0.0 players already have bookmarks to everywhere they go.. and if a fleet's going somewhere new the bm's are copied for everyone anyways resulting in major lag and suckadelics. Autopilot could still have a warpin at 15km.. i think that's a good way to counter autopiloting freighter pilots making too much off that change without any trouble.. at least they'll have to be around for it now.
i however personally like local chat serving the role of a system radar but that's just my opinion
2) i would like to see more events, more and faster evolving world around the npc side of eve.. such as more about jove.. factional warfare and such
3) change mwd's... i saw a thread before the penalty regarding it seems to be a remnant from the dual mwd era so.. yeah change that

Just going to say the things that has not already been mentioned. Bigger gun models Mightier sound for bigger guns Get rid of the "default max camera zoom-in" on ships (and structures) to add a sence of scale. (when flying a dread you get the feeling it is just a slower and less agile atron)

1. Introduce a in-game player recruitment system that works like Contracts. Corporations looking for new players could scan for players meeting certain critera, and new players could search for corporations meeting their interests.
2. Make factional warfare give meaning to small group pvp in empire. Perhaps give out missions where you compete vs other players, if this can be introduced without being exploited.
3. Remove the option of equipping multispectral ecm from normal ships, OR cut their strength in half. Make it possible to use/get full effect on electronic warfare ships only. Ships becoming unfunctional and entering a drifting state long before simply blowing up. Very hard to completly anihilate a drifting hull with normal weapons.
Being able to board drifting ships using different kinds of troops, to steal the cargo, take over the ship, or trigger its self destruct.
Better ability to defend sovreignty space.

2. Make big ships bigger while keeping small ships small to add a sense of scale. Battleships, Dreads and Titans (and planets!) should be waaay bigger than they are currently. You should be able to take a frigate and fly in and out of the structure of a battleship.

1: As said above - remove instas from within 20km of gates and give warp to gate 0 km option. Also allow 'warp to' any object including ships (without the need to 'target') if range greater than 150km.
2: Seed all T2 BPOs to market at high prices....people should be fighting over the supply of T2 materials and POSs not winning EVE because thay have a good T2 BPO.
3: Change 'Local' chat in 0.0 (only) so that you only appear if you say something....in future give 0.0 alliances the ability to build system scanners (that are killable and expensive and require fuel...I am thinking POS sized structure but much much weaker) to give the same effect as empire local chat

2. Introduce an official CCP Eve online ranking board. On this would be the top 100-500 people in areas including: number of kills, number of losses, highest faction standing, lowest faction standing, richest, highest bounty.

1. Short-range jumpdrives available to all ships so 100 man corps can't own entire regions of 0.0 by simply gatecamping. Chokepoint gatecamps = why 0.0 is empty. 2. Remove instas/bookmarks entirely. 3. Remove local chat and replace it with constellation chat.

1 - Remove bookmarks . I am sick of copying them. Most people will have them, I bet they cause lag. We have bubbles to camp gates with. Allow sniping bookmarks.
2 - System Sovereignity. Better features, planetary control, player owned stargates.
3 - Combat. Longer battles, less range, less ecm, less nos.

1: Larger medium / large guns. Having to use a microscope to see the rails on a moa is rediculous. Also, as stated above, louder (adjustable) sounds for guns firing.... and take away 'surround sound' for gun firing. It's annoying to have the camera 500m from your ship, and not hearing your guns until you pan all the way around so that the ship is at your right/left.
2: Static gate defenses- Concord has them to help control their territory, why can't player alliances? Anchorable small POS-style guns with fuel requirements would be awesome... should require sovereignty, or some other strict rules, to place in a system.
3: Warp in at 0 option, to eliminate instas. This pretty much has been covered.
Also, another note on sound: I would like to see a larger selection of adjustable volumes for sounds. Especially engines (Can barely hear them), warp (Too loud, imo), and guns.

more impact on the players on the universe
if goonfleet is fighting D2, why wouldnt concord take advantage of this to invade a bit of 0.0
second would be related to first, make the npc corps act like normal ones. they ally to breach another, they blow up stuff, and why not gank you? a raid of amarrians trough minmatar space would be nice, and i'd be glad to defend my brothers !
third would be again related to the two first : make npc act a bit better. why wouldnt a gang of guristas be safespotted and ready to gank you when you attack a belt? would that require THAT much work on the IA? why dont they totally wreck you, hey they have the mods and the numbers
and extra subsidiary : stop those "ultimate" mods... gist c-type or whatever, and you're "set". this should not happen. we need more variety in mods, this would avoid 0.1% of them to hold 80% mod market value -

Put ECM back to the way it was. It's rediculous that a ship can be jammed with an ECM module that doesnt beat the ships sensor strength.

A thought on number two would be to use the tag system on the overview... have the gang leader mark targets, i know it can get bugged sometimes but might be useful...

1. More capital ships, of a specialized nature (industry alone could have an amazing variety; logistical roles would sweet too (gateships etc... link two together, 'anchoring' them in place to operate the gate created between them)) <- yeah I know.
2. 'Pocket' Dreadnoughts 
3. Interbus.... to my corps POS network, I'll pay good money not to have to deal with that crap on a regular basis. Pickup and delivery would rock. Plus, got to love the inherent risks.

1) Bubbles that work correctly (correctly being that they actually pull you out of warp, even in midwarp)
2) Better scanning/probes, and along with it, no more local.
3) A fix for low sec pirates and sec standing. If I'm in low sec doing a plex or mission and a -2.1 pirate shows up I can't open fire until AFTER I've been locked and warp scrammed. In low sec, if you have a - sec rating you should be fair game for anyone to open fire on you.

3: More minigames, id rather not use the word minigames but you get what i mean. Just other little things you can do ingame while you are flying long distances or waiting... i do understand why some people find eve boring, even though i myself would live in it if i had the chance, but extra little things to do would get alot more players into eve in my opinion..
Id give up everything else if you made my number 1 a reality though!

Don't know about 3 features...one feature I would LOVE is for Stargates in 0.0 to have the NAME of the Corp / Alience who has Sov over a system to be named after them. So the name of the gates entering such a system would be xyz Gate. ABC Corp / Alience Space

1. Remove need for BMs to do gate to gate 0km jumps. These *must* be the vast majority of BMs and for the most part are 1:1 copies of themselves. Deleting these might make the people and places tab usable again, the client sorting/grouping of these takes forever.
2. Remove the t2 BPO lottery. Put something reasonable in its place that more equitably distributes wealth and requires some effort to do.
3. Performance optimisations for fights to allow more people to fight and with better framerate.

1) FIX THE SCALE!! Most people don't realize it. I mean if you look at the caldari carrier next to an amarr one in space, the amarr one is about 5 times bigger. Even the planets seem a tad bit small. FIX THE SCALE!!
2) Fix 0.0 choke points, this is just a place for griefers to kill anything that they can...
3) Make different types of ships. So far we have Fighting, Hauling, Mining. What about Science, Exploration, TRUE Logistics (todays logistics is just EW but what about other things?). Why not have a science vessel that can moon mine in smaller quantities, that can do reactions, or even do your littile inventing thing. BTW fitting a ships seems overly complicated these days...

2. A button for escrow called "escrows issued to me"
3. A module that when fitted to a ship connects to a command module on a command ship. Whatever the command ship targets, the modules fitted to the other ships target. The number of modules the command ship is able to control would be a function of a new skill called Shared targetting control, or somesuch. Perhaps a small bonus to range and damage as well due to the superior processing of the command ship.

Mostly agree with everything posted so far.
1. A lot more expensive pilotable ships, that are just there for the hell of it(like that gallente yacht). These would make ship collectors happy . They could all have some sort of special ability. Speaking of ships, fix the scale. Technically the scale is correct and about right but you don't get the feeling when playing the game.
2. When inside stations, your ship always floats above some kind of platform, and the surrounding platforms are empty. When there are others docked inside the station, you should be able to see their ships as well. Also make it possible to further customize your ship visually, and at a later time mechanically.
3. Make travelling in the athmosphere of planets a reality already! I know there is a prototype which can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Pg1dzAvL2M&%20search=eve%20online but it has to be implemented faster!!!!1!

There have been some absolutely amazing suggestions so far. I'll try not to repeat any of them, but the devs would do well to read through this thread and take some serious notes...
1) Longer combat, especially into structure. This would allow for targetable sub-systems to become a reality, and make battles much more enjoyable.
2) Misses that appear to . . well, miss! I can't stand that every hit or miss seems to hit my ship exactly in the same spot. I'd like to see misses fire over the bow, or pass close to my ship but not actually hit it. Minor graphical issue, but an important one, to me.
3) The ability to jump into a system without ending up at a very predictable location. It never made sense to me that a stargate would warp you exactly to another stargate. Why don't they just warp you randomly somewhere within 1AU of the star itself. Gate camping would still exist, because you could camp exit gates, but it would give an incoming ship / fleet a fair chance to load before being blasted. Also, you would be able to place your PoS/Sentries for your alliance on the exit gates of the system you're claiming Sov over, and people could warp in, and they'd have to pay you a tax to use the gate to warp deeper, or they could be forwarned by the system / gate MOTD and choose to leave, instead.
Whew, that last one was more complicated than I thought. . .

2. Like said before, a new amarr emperor and a gallente president. Or more roleplay on a big scale.
3. More graphics options (that actually work) for old videocards (like geforce 2) since I don't always have the chance to play on my main pc. Right now, it seems impossible to change the color depth to anything less than the default setting: 24bits.

1. Remove all instas, manual warp to everywhere at 0km, Autopilot warp at 15km as the OP described.
2. Warp Beacon.
A deployable beacon that you can jettison in warp, or at a point in space from your cargo hold. It exists for 15 minutes unless you warp to it and anchor it, then it's there until you remove it. It can be anchored for personal / corp / alliance use. It appears as a warpable spot on the menu when you are in local.
3. Local chat to work as alliance chat. The number tells you how many are in chat but you don't show until you speak.

Note that he did not specify in which way siege mode would affect those things. I suggest this :
1. Using mining lasers while in siege mode will cause you to lose structure hitpoints. 2. Using Ice Harvesters while in siege mode will cause them to run off in a random direction screaming for their life, totally unretrieveable. 3. Using Mining Drones while in siege mode will cause the mining drones to fill up with ore, try to return only to realize that they can't get into the dronebay to unload the ore, return to the roid and try to mine some more, and then explode due to overload.

Would also finally add real tactical flight to eve were your position truly mattered. Like fighting in a roid field and being able to use the roids as as defense.

None of those will ever happen, period. If its something you really want then i suggest you go play a different game. Anyway..

1. Sub-systems. First of all, they should be targetable. Second, once you get into structure, they should start to go, one by one, from least critical to most critical. So, lets say, it would start with high slot mods, move to mid slot, move to low-slot, move to engies, move to sensors (overview), move to warp drive, move to engines, then boom.
2. Line of sight combat. If your charge/missile hits something on the way, it damages that, not it's target. This would also put a dampener on blob warfare.

3.Random spawns in space, accompanied by a message in the system and adjacent systems calling players to come and attack/defend assault/pirate forces, could tie in nicely with faction warfare in kali and would help the universe feel more chaotic and believable. Random events in general would be great and could be generated by code on the server cluster.

1. RTS-style tactical fleet command (combined with new system scanning, no bookmarks, and point-and-click go-anywhere-in-solar-system navigation.) I'm talking break fleets into fire teams, squads, set waypoints by squad, set targets by squad - or have delegates set targets - assign roles to pilots or squads, and have an overview displaying fleet makeup and health in some easy to use fashion.
2. No bookmarks. Replace with homeworld-esque point-and-click 3d navigation for solar systems (utilizing new system scanning.)
3. To shift the balance upset of removing instas, make bubbles usable in empire but only affect "valid" targets (pirates, war targets.) And/or make jump scramblers -- so you can stop someone from jumping out.
And, fourth -- not a feature, but -- Fix the lag. (Yes, I know, Dragon code blah blah blah I'll believe it when I see it -- no offense, devs, ya know I lub ya ;))

I love eve's depth both in economy and combat, I feel both are cheapened by their current implementations, especially combat. I can deal with having an inty sniped by a battleship if that's the outcome of a reasonably robust simulation, that's pretty cool and pretty rare. As the outcome of a dice roll, it sucks and happens way too frequently. Same thing with ships missing due to high orbit speed. I anticipate most of DC's fleet changes to fall out naturally from a good turret simulation.
P.S. Unnerf medium/small lasers, Khanid Mk2, Abaddon as a drone ship. Go Amarr! -- I have 4million SP and an exclamation mark for a face... |

1. IDSs (Intrusion Detection Systems ;) that are anchorable (like POSes, for example), but can be placed near gate(s), and warn of any non-friendly (neutral or less than 0) jumps through the gate. IDS could transmit info to read-only chat channel, and people could see if/when hostiles show up at gates. Obviously, these IDSs should be destroyable as well, with considerable firepower. Limit number of IDSs per region/constellation/whatever, so that we don't end up with IDS spamming. Unfortunatelly, this would require that EVE allows alliance-wide standings and many more things which will or will not be present in Kali.
2. WCS should carry (negative) bonus (locking time, speed, sig radius, etc, etc)
3. Scan probes that can find cloaked signature. If someone is cloaked, make it possible for us to find the sig, and throw us in radius of 50km from the cloaked object. So cloakers don't get to have 0% risk anymore, while sitting cloaked for hours/days. Or make probes scan for 15-30 minutes, so that cloakers have to move from time to time, and not statically sit there for hours/days.
3a) Make people who logoff in hostile (claimed) space show up on scanner even after they've logged off. Or make them visible for 15 minutes after logoff. I mean, ASCN enemies don't logoff in Esoteria of Feythabolis because "they had to urgently take kids to school" or anything similar. They did it to avoid being found and/or killed, and logging off like this really looks like an exploitation. Leave empire and NPC controlled 0.0 space logoff behaviour as it is.

You can know when you are in highsec just by looking at local and thus it's obvious most players in the game don't feel the risk vs. reward balance for low sec and 0.0 is properly balanced. Move choice mission givers out of places like Motsu to 0.0 for conquerable stations and do small details that makes living in empire attractive over 0.0 (Station containers! My kingdom for 10 station containers!)

2) fix pos wars. They are boring, lead automatically to blobbing and lag and the winner is the pos. Don't know how, but one thing that should be changed is the ability to move pos fuel with jump-drive ships and maybe also control towers. Find some RP excuse, like that the radiation of some of these things interfers with jump-drives.
3) well, don't now, there are already nice kali features like wcs nerf, Invention, new scanner and probes, maybe even change to instas and local. Ok, before I forget it: Force people to login in again after they jump through a gate. They can go offline somewhere else, it's mega-lame to log there and fix speres and bubbles that you can't escape them by logging off.

1. Add a "Warp to 0 km" option to the rightclikmenu. Everbody is already having the insta-bookmarks and copying them only creates lag and costs tons of gametime we could use for other stuff. Interdictors and bubbles work fine.
2. POS war are just boring. This needs a major overhaul.
3. Modify 0.0 local so that you can see everybody when you have sov. If you do not have sov you see only persons that are talking.

1. A solution to the database-choking "insta" pollution that simutaneously deals with the 0.4 gank camps that compel the need for instas in the first place.
2. Making Amarr ships more useful while keeping them distinct. (sure, make them low-medslot bricks, but give them a purpose. EW resistance, maybe?)
3. Some fixes to really old graphical glitches. The Punisher model is so awful that as decent as the little guy and its T2 cousins are, it's difficult to fly it without cringing.
4. Some wildly imaginative solution to blob wars and POS spamming wars, that permit huge alliances to throw their weight around but leave some tiny hope that the little guys can have some sting too.
5. A little love for PvE. Sick of the same old missions, and I'd love to do stuff for the military and political arms that is more compelling than "get me a danish" or "weed out these drones" or even "go here and pop this guy after four acceleration gates."
6. Make fleet combat closer range overall. Sniping is nice, until it's all both sides do to each other, between dancing from "insta" to "insta" and alphastriking each other's primary ships with wtfpwn T2 ammo.
7. Fix or remove T2 ammo, for god's sake. It's making a mess of things and only benefits campers.

1. I'm not sure what the proper term for it is, but it would go with the idea of sub systems. If you want to disable subsystems (e.g. engines, sensors, drone bays, turrets, etc.) your ship's weapons should have a line of sight to it. So if the drone bay is located to the front of the dominix, your ship must be positioned in such a way that your weapons have direct line of sight to the drone bay. The Dominix would have the ability to maneuver so that your weapons are no longer hitting the drone bay, but a fresh part of the ship.
Gives smaller fleets a fighting chance. Ship "C" comes between ship "A" firing on ship "B" absorbing the damage that ship "B" would've taken from ship "A". Funner with joystick implementation! 
2. Skillbook manufacturing. First you would need a specialist to copy the skillbook where skill rank determines the difficulty in copying it. Maybe even a chance that the copy is better than the original so a rank 8 skill becomes a rank 7 or 6.
3. Improvement on stats of COSMOS items. Something between tech 1 (best named) and tech 2 or even between tech 1 and faction/officer/deadspace.

1: First I would like to see a change in the way T2 BPO's are distributed. But that is hopefully fixed in Kali. 2: Fix WCS, IE hit them with a Nerfbat in the same way that Babe Ruth used to slap balls out of the court. 3: Fix exploitable behaviour, like login traps and portrait packs.

1. Easier POS management. I can understand limitations on POS like people being unable to fit with more than one pilot present at a ship maintenance array, but why on earth can't we open cans from a hangar, have the hangar just match the normal office hangar rights etc. is beyond me.
2. A less complicated role management system with an improved UI. Aside from the fact that the corp role management UI is not user-friendly and has a lot of glitches (scrolling 500 meters to the right is not a good feature...), the current system is very complicated and lacks a good explanation.
3. Multiple corp wallets linked to sets of roles (I believe this is in in Kali, but not sure). And then with a less complicated interface (see point 2!). Rimhawk V8 Interceptors |

1. Longer combat, make ships harder to damage (but harder to repair). Damage models, so bits set on fire and fly off ships that take heavy hits. Heavily damaged ships have reduced stats.
2. Research agents give out limited run BPC's frequently and BPO's infrequently.
3. Tactical environments (nebulas, black holes, pulsars) all have different effects on different ships. One large asteroid belt. 10's of thousands of km big with several warp in points. Hide rarer asteroids (in small qty's) inside theses belts so that a very lucky miner may stumble across one. (also make asteroids applicable to point 4)
4. (more than 3 sorry!)Make it possible to hide in systems (tactical environments) by not showing up on the HUD unless the ships are within your ships/gang members maximum targeting range (+50% ish and skills and stuff).

Ok, it's a wish list but to be honest, I don't expect it to happen. EVe is imho programmed to support a large number of people, not for low latency. If freeflight became the standard way to pilot your ship, I think that bandwith for each client and the processing power needed on the server side would increase dramatically. I'm sure they had to reprogram a lot e.g. the whole networking stuff and fleet battles might end in a lag-hell¦ with the total unrealistic ship movements (e.g. of fast agile frigs) that I've also seen in freelancer multiplayer mode a few years ago with only a few ships involved.

I don't know, this game is pretty good, but I'll try.
1. replace most of the fed ex missions with things like you have to build somthing for a manufactering agent or mine in a particular spot for a mining agent etc...
2. Badges of all kinds.
3. NPC Pirates at more places then just asteroids and have them do things like patrols around the system to spice things up. Maybe also they can do things like hunt you if lets say you have attacked something they own,
Also NPC's to have more structures they own that do some cool AI kinda stuff.
4. Give us more ways and reasons to adventure around and travel.
P.S. 5. Make smuggling even more so, you know what I'm saying I hope because it is hard to explain in words.

Just other little things you can do ingame while you are flying long distances or waiting... i do understand why some people find eve boring, even though i myself would live in it if i had the chance, but extra little things to do would get alot more players into eve in my opinion..
Id give up everything else if you made my number 1 a reality though!
None of those will ever happen, period. If its something you really want then i suggest you go play a different game. Anyway..
1. Drone damage mod 2. Change the hybrid damage bonus on the dominix into another drone bonus, even if its insignificant. 3. Implement a drone interface with buttons for every command because going through menus to issue commands is getting old and annoying.

FPS could become part of eve at some point in the future, support for 1 million players on the one server too!
Joystick flight could easily be implemented, currently its a matter of technology holding such things back.
Mine: 1. Fix: local, instas, ECM, stabs, logoffski, logonski, T2 ammo 2. Replace stations with planets (planetry flight). Change pos assault to planetry bombardment (lets face it: why would a civilsation spend billions on space stations when they can take over a planet for free?) 3. Make travel intresting, currently warp jump warp jump is ftl.
Yes joysticks for particualar new ships and bars in small outposts on land. When tecknology catches up.

1. remove instas, allow warp to 0km on gates, if interdictors, bubbles and tacklers are not are not enough, give us a mod that allows faster warp, pursuit and interception of targets while in warp! I realise this is a big coding / game mechanics challenge, but would be well worth it, esp. for fleet battles.
2. Local chat is the universes crudest Radar system, either get rid of it (at least in 0.0 and maybe lowsec) and replace it with an actual radar like system, weather that involves ship scanner, specialised ships, specialised modules, POS modules, deployables, system sovereignty, whatever… Or just have all corp / alliance / sec status info displayed as well as char name and portrait, or at the very least, make it so opening 10 info box’s doesn’t lag even a well spec’d PC to death.
3. Change advanced learning skills to a rank 1, and give us another set of “advanced-advanced” learning skills that are rank 2, afaik every major content patch to Eve has added yet more skills for us to learn, but as yet has not reduced the time it takes to train them, at least not by the same ratio, yes specialisation is good, and no-one should ever be able to learn all the skills, not even to lvl 3, but having to have 3 chars to do maybe 2 things extremely well (specialisation), and 3 or 4 things “adequately” within the time-frame of a year, it just too dam much, specialisation is good, often required – being able to do lots of different things is FUN.
4.*cough* POS warfare. 5*coughcough!!* mini-freighter, bigger industrials, give the big freighter a jump drive. 6. WCS and warp jamers. Nuff said.

1. Ingame kill list, automatic one. 2. Redusing Lag 3. NPC payable deliveries "post service" ( so u dont have to warp 50 jumps to all diffrent sides to fit a ship aquiring the modules )It just rapes the game.

A point often overlooked, 2 would nerf pirating, but 3 would make it easier... perhaps they balance each other out. To this list, I'd like to add my own #1:

I don't see how. As already stated, everyone uses instas now anyway. If you want to pirate then use the tools the game provides like bubbles. Removing instas and setting a 0km warp in option won't change the current situation for pirating. All it will do is remove the tedium of copying bms and reduce the huge server lag that that induces.

1. Turrets that dont have to track stationary objects when you are orbiting them in a perfect circle. 2. Large Autos need a tracer effect. 3. Miss animations!
