Edited by: Major Stormer on 11/09/2006 21:25:21 Well, i have a pretty large collection of eve fan made vids, and i like a lot of them :) And i was wondering if there was any truely GREAT ones i had missed. Therefore, please promote the video that you feel you truely enjoyed and loved the most.
Personally, i felt it was eve online vanguard. just pure awesomeness :)
So, whats yours? ( 1 small rule, please dont use this thread to promote videos you yourself have made, to try and keep it fair and without bias :) ) --------------------------

In my eyes the videos made by LLeBRing are among the best eve movies ever made. not just because they were well made but because they tell a story. For me videos that tell a story are far ahead of the standard gank videos.
Im afraid i dont have a link to these videos. im sure tehy will be on eve-files. the two LLeBRing made were: VOTF: The exodus cronicle which recounts operations of a CA corp back in the day and The Great northen war which tells the story of that War.

Yeah ive seen both of them :) what i really miss is i dont have a link (has it even been made, i searched and all :( )is the follow up to the first Great Northen War film. the first was awesome!
and yes, the VOTF film was nice, cant help not noticeing a few spelling mistakes/grapic errors and that like however :( they are still around to, nice corp...killed one the other day :) --------------------------

I have to pick just one?
Tough, because I can't really go for one of the technically impressive ones. Alright, my vote's going to one of the less well recognized videos, but one I've watched more times than I can remember and one which never fails to inspire me.
Rising, enjoy.

I gotta say Lowa - Why we do it .
It is probably the best inspiration vid that is made to this date in my opinion of course.
Then we got Farjung vids which is really great to see nice PvP action.
I also gotta vote Damige for some nice vids with the Lock 'n Load series showing nice editing work and good effects.
Sorry for no links, but can`t be arsed to look them all up. Just use Eve-Search to find them.
Lowa - Why we do it Farjung - Wave of Mutilation, Reckless, Wave of Mutilation 2 Damige - Lock 'n Load 1/2/3
This is my lazy attempt to make an uber-signature, please go away!

The link isn't working for Rising.
1. Lowa's Why we do it. 2. Vanguard Chapter 1 -still waiting for chapter 2.
Just about any MC vid, and LLeBring vids have a grandeur not found in the standard gank flicks.
And this one doesn't count as its not in game footage, but the evolution trailer 1 and 2 are just amazing. Hoping Biff and company are on track for the fanfest. ----- ------------

Wave of Mutilation 2 for droolage. For me, watching that Vindi go is like watching a dude drive past in a brand new Ferrari.
I really liked Xoria's latest one too - Frontline.

I'm going to make this sticky for a while - It'd be really cool if people could post a link to what they consider to be their top 3/5/10 etc Videos so that newcomers can consider a good selection to get started with.
Perhaps someone can recommend some kind of voting system to get a proper chart going ?
Have fun folks!

Bless you. Somehow missed this one. d/l'ing it now.
As to the top vids, the ones that have stayed on my hard drive the longest:
1. Why we do it 2. Eve Never Fades 3. Chapter 1- Vanguard by Meridius 4. Empire War by Pencheven 5. Original recruitment video by M corp. 6. MC and LLeBring vids. (more than a couple) 7. Things to do in EVE as a noob -my personal favorite for funny. 8. Episode 1 by Verone 9. Iron- Its Electric 10. Burn the Map. -I don't like the entire video, but the first 3 minutes are cinematic like nothing else.
Plenty more, but that's my personal top ten favorites. ----- ------------

My absolute favorite videos come from Dave Tehsulei, formerly of Atomic Battle Penguins, and Kaeten, formerly of Reikoku and Hybrid Syndicate. In fact it took me a while to find my own style as I mimiced these videos too closely in the first few edits of my own work-in-progress videos.
Anyway, I think I have about 20 gigs of videos. Here are my favorites in no particular order:
1. Atomic Battle Penguins videos 1-4 2. Kaeten's Meatshield and Rebound 3. Kale Ryoko's Burn The Map <3!! 4. Farjung's Wave of Mutilation videos 5. Lyticus' A Pirate's Life 6. EVE Never Fades 7. BoB Easter by Kraph - I still consider it the best fleet video ever 8. A couple assorted Verone videos. >.>;; 9. Some former ABP guy (think he left the game) made a smartbombing Raven video that was sheer class, funniest thing I've seen in a video but I can't find it 10. Not ATUF by Trey Azagthoth

I still get mails that ppl like my Pilgrim Video (behind enemy lines)... like 3-5 per week.
Dunno i can't nominate myself but i really like my "Pilgrim - Behind enemy lines" since it's one of the rare recon videos. (I'm working on a new recon video with gal/amarr recons). I don't like my 2nd Video that much. That's why it's encoded in such a low bitrate since it's not worth to be 200mb.
