Those of you who watch AFV knows they sometimes do "bad news, good news" and I thought I'd try to do it myself.
Bad news: This dev blog is a short one. Good news: Everyone is working hard in preparation for the Kali testing which will begin soon.
Life Continues...

Thanks for the update. We were beginning to worry you guys had closed down but forgot to mention it or turn the servers off. * * * In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Edited by: Jinx Barker on 13/09/2006 19:13:33 I still think that POS should be incorporated into a single structure with a limited number of docked pilots. This whole anchoring business is just crazy. Especially after refiting the ship, or boarding the ship where sometimes you appear to loose all skills and unable to fly the damn thing. And the lag they are causing, oh dear Lord, I cant even think of it.
Again, would be nice if POS was dockable by a lmited number of users, lets say no more than 5 or 10 at the time, and it would look like this: Image Courtesy of Evelgrivion

Maybe if the Devs spent less time getting drunk and more time working on the game we wouldn't have all these bugs.
Apparently one of the prerequisites for becoming an EVE dev is you have to be an alcoholic. That seems to be all they are capable of talking about.

I think this is part of the reasons why this game is so superb. Some things are best done drunk

Yeah, because no one's allowed to drink, or party or anything.
Don't be assnine. Going into work drunk = bad. Going to the pub afterward = a fine idea, especially if you get to discuss ideas outside an office environment.

They've been promised in Part one.
As for this dev blog...it is so informal and has not one iota of insight into the current lag issues or the consequences of Tuesday's hotfix. Code Monkey's contract blog is easily one of the best blogs ever written in terms of organization and insight. Devs would be wise to follow that model.
Starbase testing has been on the development page since early summer if not before. Sharkbait had a sticky on Kali testing for a day or two now. That said, please, either offer some concrete information or forgo the devblog format.

the devblog format is good the way it is
a) another TQ hotfix so SISI testing till then for that b) starbase testing c) kali build maybe next tuesday or wednesday but not 100% sure d) im drunk e) been to austin game conference have some new QA (possibly petition solving ideas) but wont discuss them but it should keep u toons quite on the forums till we get around to it
Seems pretty straight forward to me what his saying

Who ever said that blogs had to be either formal or informative? Just because some devs choose to present their blogs that way (give us more!!!) doesnt mean that the informal ones have no place. Besides, as pointed out, the information is there if you care too look, although I dont think it actually means that we'll see a Kali build that soon. Here's hoping though.

He was too busy trolling. If he bothered to read anything, he'd have informed posts, and that's something most people seem to dislike these days.

And people wonder why the devs don't post to the forums very often.
Some elements of the Eve community are frankly just embarrassing.
