Reinstalling the launcher worked.

I was able to manually download the patch from cdn1.eveonline.com/862956/EVE_Online_861477-862956_win.zip much faster than trying to let the launcher try and download it. Seams the issue I was having with manually patching was that I was extracting it to the patches folder then trying to import it. Once I extracted it to the C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE directory it updated just fine and I'm in game. |

There is definitely a network issue here. I am also in Florida and cannot download the launcher manually, automatically, or the link that was just posted with the patch itself. The dynamic background on the launcher doesn't even load. Here is a trace route I just ran.

I also just connected to a virtual server I have located in a datacenter in NJ and it downloaded the launcher almost instantly. There is something up which is affecting us in the Southeast for sure. This is not CCP's fault. |

Confirming rat noises persist forever. Even simple belt rats still make noise after going into a station.

Same here, in GA. 6 accounts sitting. Been trying all day. No launcher download, repair doesn't work, no manual patch download. Any attempt at a connection fizzles out after 3-5 seconds. |

I would give many many thanks for being able to completely turn off nebulae, and especially in amarr space turn down the overall background brightness. So sick of turning my camera around the ship 9 times just to get a decent view of what I'm looking at.
I remember when the changes to background brightness first came out and nullsec was suddenly soooo soothing. Now even null seems bright as @#$ again. Sec .8 and above actually hurts my eyes after a while. I see enough bright lights at work. I enjoy the dark but perfect glow of deep space. |

Can someone please help me with fixing eve so I can finally play? Repair doesn't work. nor downloading patch from source. The launcher and client do not work. retried downloading them separately doesn't work. keep getting stuck at verifying the client. reset all of eve didn't work. Deleting eve then re downloading didn't work. I factory reset the computer and doesn't work. nothing any one of yall has told me works and I attempted to put in a ticket and that didn't work either seriously guys what's up what are you guys doing? |

Taking nine-plus hours to download the update, when it should take four.. Only for it to break at the last second, and have to start over again. Tried updating via both the launcher and the repairer, would do more troubleshooting but trial and error is kind of hard on this timescale.
Any chance it'll unbreak itself while I'm asleep? Kinda frustrating because one of my alts is coming up on a queue end. |

Please send me an EVE-mail (to this character CCP Habakuk), if you are still experiencing problems with downloading, and please include following information:
- What ISP you are using?
- What DNS server you are using (if not from your ISP)?
- Run in a cmd window a tracert to cdn1.eveonline.com and include these results
- Is there a significant difference in speed when patching through the launcher and when trying to download http://cdn1.eveonline.com/862956/EVE_Online_861477-862956_win.zip directly?
Do not post these results in this thread, to avoid abuse of the information. You can also send a support ticket, but per EVE-mail I can collect the information a bit faster.

RGB sliders to adjust the color of the windows interface, it is not the aesthetic preferences of individual players, but absolutely necessary thing. At the current settings is impossible to achieve a comfortable environment for vision. Missing the opportunity to lighten the background of the windows - the market, etc. This leads to fatigue the eye and the inability to play. This is the main reason why I will soon throw the game. It is a pity that the CCP is not going to do anything to remedy the situation. |

Keeping fingers crossed but so far it appears to be downloading correctly this morning. Volusia County, Florida (Daytona Beach). I'm one who could not download anything from CCP about 6 hours ago.

As others have mentioned, even after the 1.1 update, I still have rat sounds everywhere I go. When I encounter rats, I kill them but apparently their audio follows me wherever I go. I tried tweaking the audio but that doesn't help; the only fix is to exit the game and re enter. Didn't have this issue before Tiamat. |

We're working on this now. Hopefully the fix will be deployed tomorrow.
