Thats exactly what we do when we have some massive problems with our infrastructure at the datacenter and everyone is doing overtime. Sit about with your dicks in your hands and eat pizza? Sorry if CCP are looking out for the welfare of their employees by feeding them and making sure they're not going hungry when they've been working 9 hours solid on a severe technical issue.

Has anyone though that maybe a rollback isn't possible? You know the game only has hundreds of timer that depend on time moving forward so rolling back could just **** up everything even more. |

I work for a webhost and have access to 3 datacenters here in town. They all have such policies. Prolonged downtime like this means you take care of your techs.
Try going 7 hours of trying to deal with issues like this and see how your thought process is without some food.
Oh and yes, they all have cots and blankets as well.

This is the 1735th time someone suggested this. I guess it's not possible. Could lead to even worse scenarios. They need to solve the problem right now. It may even not be related to Sov changes or new content at all. It may be something old and rotten.
My friend recently fixed an error in code, which was there for very long. He works on a very large ERP-like system. But everyone expected the wrong behaviour. They tested everything, but still after the fix was deployed, everything crashed and they had to restore the previous state... :) Sometimes it's just better to keep it running.
