after seeing what can he do to my poor astarte dual rep tank with dual rep amount rigs i never leave without tanked explosive.
so, one explosive rig and one armor rep rig. I then fit one corpum energized reactive membrane which gives me 54% of passive resist, one eanm, one DCU II, one MAR II and two MFS II.
No mwd, i wont chase any cruisers even if i have mwd fitted, i am mainly against BSs and BCs. and full rack of neutrons..

Right here's an Astarte fitting that works as an all around setup, both decent damage and nice tank!
In the Hi slots:
7x Neutron's T2
Med slots:
1x 10mn MWD II 1x Warp Disrupter II 1x Medium Electrochemical Cap Injector with 800's 1x Fleeting Propulsion web
Low slots:
2x Shadow Serpentis Medium Armor repairer 1x Damage Control II 1x Armor Kinetic Hardener II 1x Armor Thermic Hardener II 1x Armor Explosive Hardener II
Drones: 5x Hammerheads II
Rigs:
1x Ancillary Current Router (the one that gives extra powergrid, I'm bad with rig names) 1x The rig that gives extra armor repairer repairing amount
And finally, this setup WILL fit if you have skills such as advanced weapon upgrades to lvl 4, the setup should leave about 5 - 10 in PG, i belive the mwd can be replaced with the best named (Y-t8 overcharged hydrocarbon)
If I'm not also incorrect you can fit true sansha medium armor reppers if you have the ISK'ies for it!

Field Command ships (astarte) are better suited for offensive PVP. While Fleet Command ships (EOS) are better at fitting gang-mods as their bonus implies.(Although the Eos is a great offensive boat too)

this is what ive been settling on for when i CAN use them
- 5 neutron II's, 2 hvy dimin nos - standard blaster mids -2 mar II's, exp hardener II, eanm II, 2 mag II's
5 hammerheads in the bay.
1 ancillary current router, 1 aux nano pump II's.
it might be a newb fitting, especially since A) i cant fly them yet, and B) it seemed so simple and obvious to fit it that way.
i think with my skills the guns have like 12.0 damage mod. the 2 nos can help in disabling bc and sub bc tanks. hammerheads + web + nos = dead tacklers/fast cruisers. the nano pumps + ship bonus on the 2 mar's equates to about 1050 armor/9 seconds. on roughly 70% across the board.

fits for me, not sure i'd be happy with just 1 mag stab tho, with two you get more than 100 more dps. if u use t2 rigs u can fit 2 corpum a-types, and with a t2 aux pump both reppers will net u a bit less than 1,400 armor/cycle .

i would say, start with.
1600mm tungston. 2x dmg mods t2. 1 med t2 rep. 2x energized t2. named mwd, 20km, 90% web, medium electro cap inj with 800s
then fill the highs with the biggest guns you can
plate knocks agility down to something comparable to that of a unplated BS.
Field commands are fun b/c they actually fly around a bit...unless you plate them.

1 Named stasis webber (for fast frigates/cruisers) 1 Tracking computer II 2 Capacitor recharger II's
1 Damage control II 2 Magnetic Field Stabilizer II's 1 Medium Armor repper II 2 Armor hardener II's of your choice
With 0 or 1 capacitor recharging rig it can sustain the tank with firing lead all day. with 2 rigs with anti-matter all day.
Finishes off frigates from 15km+ normally in one volley. still hits with lead up to max targetting range.
I recommend a 10 light drone II setup over 5 medium drone II's they just cost too much and you will eventually lose some.

i use rail astarte in gangs more than blaster.

the astarte can easily be used with rails, also web and cap injector are not required med slot items, astarte is a great fleet ship.

2 t2 aux pumps gets you 1812hp/cycle/9s not including boosters, or the reps overloaded, or 7% repair reduction.
i might know someone running that setup. i think he uses 2 ss mags tho, occasionally dropping 1 for dc, and 2 centum eanm, sometimes the core x for one tho. ions tho, not neutrons.

I know he was asking for an Astarte, but the Eos will do the job even better, with it's up to 300m¦ DroneBay.
Even without the Damage-Bonus for the Blasters, you'll deal much more damage, with 5x T2 Ogre + 7x T2 Ions.
And also for the guy who was asking for Missions... Go for the Eos! .
