I read the convo and I think you really just caught him at a bad time. James Lyrus is on the ISS Core management team and is permitted to make diplomatic talks. He'll probably be one contacting you to engage diplomatic talks when he gets on eve. Just to save him some legwork, who exactly is your current diplomatic officer? IIRC, it used to be Tyrrax but you mentioned something about new leadership so I gather it has changed? Eve-Tanking.com - For tanking spreadsheet and resources.

However, if ISS were misled into thinking they needed to fund a POS war then there is a matter of expenses to be settled. If ISS just stop now and give F4 back then they have to cast away all that isk they used for a war IAC started. If your analogy of the events is correct and for your scenario to work you have to cover this isk or ISS can not simply stop and walk away anymore. IAC would have to pay some reparations to offset the expenses. Parties would have to agree to this or there would simply be no way to stop things now.

ISS are paying for the defense they have now, at some point the costs of MC's continued presence will outweigh the losses of the pos and feul etc they have lost..... Atius Tirawa Minmatar Republic Military School	Posted - 2006.12.22 16:14:00 - [55] While 'Market PvP' has not been used, I belive IAC has stated on several instances that ISS was messing their market up and that this was the reason their relationship entered its curret phase of deterioration. Considering their *****ly relationship from before - I would assume that anything would have been seen as undermining IAC objectives - and messing up another alliances market is a very strong thing to do. If you have ever tried to create a market and market demand in eve, you will know that it takes a bit of work and a lot of time. At this point though, I really don't see peace. I do see IAC being very brave against a very expensive set of hired guns (arsinal is correct probably) and they win a great deal of respect from me and a lot of people I know for sticking to their guns. No matter what, this show is going to be fun for anyone involved. happy Hannukah and happy shooting.
