Contrary to their "we didn't want a pos war" if you look at Marginis, Tycho or Borealis you'll see large numbers of ships that aren't friendly.
IAC have admitted they were after the stations in the first place, however that isn't the point now. I'd just like to say that it's fun seeing you all here, however if you could let us know next time it could be more of a laugh
Don't you just love this sort of thing, and we look foward to seeing you in round two.

Considering ISS are in possession of an outpost formerly belonging to Trust - who now reside in D2, then I think it's no surprise that at some point D2 would say "Hmm, what to do, what to do. Oh that outpost, let's have that back plus interest".

And back in reality-land, ISS asked IAC if this was just pew-pew or if outposts would be involved, and various IAC leaders said repeatedly, in multiple channels, that outpost could be involved. If people think otherwise, that's because they've been lied to.
ISS offered the station back FOR FREE, and IAC refused, wanting the station plus "rent" for all of Catch. They were never serious about just wanting pew-pew -- they always wanted more. They simply lied about that, here and to their own members. Over and over again.
But that's what you'd expect from a group consisting of goonies, logoffskis, lamer gate camping pirates, and IAC. Nice little group there. Things look good for them now, but karma's a *****.

Well, surley, they want to take back whats theirs and they really fells that you ****ed on their hands, but no matter, you are now in a state where you have to defend 2 fronts with a crappy (truely) Navy, I'd say good luck and happy blobbing.
On the note that IAC was always in it for the Outposts? Well, you can just twist it any way you want, you know your IPO is gong down and its good that it hapened before all your shareholders was left behind with huge debits on their accounts... |

Neutrality is a two-way policy - it only works if others recognise it.
When ISS was first set up, I thought it would never last. I thought it was too ambitious an undertaking, to vulnerable to fickle politics, and it would just get stamped on. So imagine my astonishment when the traditional alliances collectively decided to let it coexist. For so damn long. It may be too early to write off ISS, but if the end comes soon, it will have lasted a lot longer than it should have.

I see your route out of the ISS outpost your main is in is blocked, so you came to the forums to whine again. It's refreshing to see you copy & pasting the exact same argument you came up with almost 2 weeks ago over and over again, the only reason I can see for this is to boost your post count. You resort to the same tactic as butter dog (broken record posting), the difference being he actually produced some comedy and you just serve to fill up space on the page where meaningful posts COULD have gone.
As for these most recent developments, sounds like revenge, which shouldnt've been unexpected. If ISS should have learned one thing over the course of this, it's that IAC won't just roll over and die and if that means calling in blobs to rival the size of the blob ISS started with, then I guess so be it.
Finally, cheers for the kind words mirror, we lamer gate camping pirates, logoffskis, goonies and IAC appreciate the affection <3

Umm fact check
IAC set you red. They make some comments in the heat of the moment hinting that outpost play could happen but nothing is verified. ISS and IAC fight for 2 days in good old fasioned shoot em up style. ISS has been losing these engagements really badly due to the fact that the ISSN is absolute tosh when it comes to pvp. ISS gets all cry cry, calls in the mc/lv/fix and begins deploying pos in f4. They take f4. All of a sudden ISS' allies leave cause they umm to put it nicely lack a dangling pair between their legs. ISS claims they'll stay the course (sorry couldn't resist).
Flash forward. IAC's friends show they are here to stay. D2 long brooding over the ISS backstab in ec- and multiple other incidents decide to vent some anger. ISS cry about how it's now a pos war.
So to sum it up, you reap what you sow.

ISS stop whinging about this.
First you state that "we were being vague and that we really were going to take your outpost". You then attacked us.
Now when we are taking your outposts you say "oh but you said you weren't going to make this a pos war!11!"
Stop crying, and Die with Honor. Oh and for the ISS members who keep trying to sell me pos passwords. Stop it, its making me laugh to hard to do anything constructive.

Too bad all this firepower is being brought down on an industrial alliance instead of the EVE boogeymen (AKA BoB).
It would seem that ISS is getting a taste of their own medicine. There was never any doubt that they wouldn't like it..

Originally by: Algey Contrary to their "we didn't want a pos war" if you look at Marginis, Tycho or Borealis you'll see large numbers of ships that aren't friendly.
IAC have admitted they were after the stations in the first place, however that isn't the point now. I'd just like to say that it's fun seeing you all here, however if you could let us know next time it could be more of a laugh
Don't you just love this sort of thing, and we look foward to seeing you in round two.
So to sum it up, you reap what you sow.
again another person doesnt know what they talking about!

Agreed and good point! alliance that attack a cearbear with no pvp experiance are weak! I mean u suprised ISS had help? mind u respect for alliance for attacking ISS which are the weakest alliance eh? so smart and strong lol. How about going for bob? thats a challange but u dont have balls to do it eh? like D2 for one and AAA

I think this had been planned all along. The timing of the invasions are too close to be conincidence. D2 busy nap-ing the north; and sly hints of "things to come" from some interested parties recently.
The only thing that I think wasn't planned was the loss of F4. IAC had probably intended to just soften ISS up for the proper invasion.

Responses back to that alliance mail:
1. "wtf Pretorian, are you telling people to do the log off thingie??. I know this is alliance chat, but that¦s probably the most stupid thing I have ever read here. Don¦t do that, it dishonors your char AND you can be scanned easily while doing that!!!!!!"
2. "Agreed, logoffski's ruin the game. Personally, I could never condone them. If you do have uber-implants, be prepared to lose them. It's a game, and dying is all a part of it. The rest of your guide is useful info though."

8th november 06, prophecy, coming through litom solo from empire direction, jumped into jamunda followed by a couple priory inties and a recon, you jumped and logged and then did the log/logoff thing to move off the gate

Algey: Im quite surpriced thet youd use the Gangbang word when explaining that the enemy you tried to defeat is blobbing you, its quite ironic that youd even post about this, i dont believe that IAC did just that when you sieged them with 400+ people, more of it, it was your side that stated "yeah, we blobbed THEM out with our 90+ cap ships, look at us, we rocks", tho i can imagine you have the time to do so, sitting in your station that is about to change owner... |

ISS people should really stop whining about the gangbang.
Take it like men and die quietly.
Lest you be reminded of the gangbang you inflicted on IAC at the beginning of this conflict. To anybody watching, that left a bad taste in the mouth. Particulary with the very odd coupling of MC and FIX and LV .. it was like the three ugly sisters beating up Cinderella at the behest of a greedy bank manager.
You played your cards.... you bluffed... and you lost.
Nobody feels sorry for you. Goodbye.

Just from the little back-research I've done, it looks like IAC threatened, either explicitly or implicitly, ISS's outposts, ISS responded by taking their outpost as a deterent, then offered their outposts back to IAC for a truce. IAC said no, then the tables began to turn and the gangbang ensued.
Sure, ISS isn't totally neutral, they've stepped on some toes, but they've managed to stave off an all out attack for a year and a half, have become a respected financial institution, and have kept at least a plausible amount of neutrality.
The situation now is totally different from the situation when ISS had the upper hand. I doubt IAC et al will offer ISS their outposts back under any circumstances.

ISS thought they could just hire mercs and take IACs stations, Then AAA got involved, then RA/GOON/TCT got involved, now D2 got invloved, now their stations will be captured. :D
"we look foward to seeing you in round two." Sorry, but there wont be a round 2. :P Your alliance is full of carebears, once stations start falling they will ALL leave.

I have approximately 2.5-3bil isk in ISS Outpost shares (not sure on their acutual value, since they are in a steady decline the last few days) and I for one wouldn't mind if they would crumble and die after this war.
The treachery of EC-P8R has never been forgotten by the north, Forsaken Empire has paid the price, The Five has paid the price, Ascendant Frontier has paid the price, Axe Empire has paid the price and now the Interstellar Starbase Syndicate will pay the price.
Only a few more alliances on the list and the north will have had it's revenge, outliving every alliance that participated in taking the Trust outpost in EC-P8R.

All the statements about EC-P8R really don't make a lot of sense to me.
It seems like it's probably just a case of everyone and their mothers sitting around for a month trying to figure out exactly what happened there, speculating wildly, and coming up with some sort of uber-doomsday, tinfoil hat scenario born more of random speculation and latent bitterness in forum-land than an actual concrete understanding.
I think the simplest scenario is: BOB/ASCN/Friends took the outpost, didn't want to hold it, gave it to ISS as a neutral third party, ISS sold shares in it, with a large portion of the dividends going to the original owners.
I don't see what they could have done differently, or what about this means that they are in bed with BoB.

Basically, that's about the size of it. Lets face it, EC-P8R isn't all that special.

When ISS is gone what happens next? what will thos regions look like? who will have Sov?
AAA are already moving equipment into delve with D2 as escorts.
Really one might ask what happens to IAC when AAA decide they want there space and IAC have no more friends to count on when AAA,D2,iron, Goon and co force them away. IAC will be forced into either helping AAA + D2 against BOB or be dealt the same hand as ISS had.

IAC says "lets pew-pew abit" ISS says "you just want our stations" IAC says "that wasnt the original idea" ISS says "we knew it you bastids" ISS calls in as much firepower they can with their wallet and shareholders ISS and hirelings take over the IAC station IAC thinks game isnt over until the fat lady has had atleast 8 children and one donkey. IAC talks with some friends that has lots of guns and a beef with ISS. now **** hits the fan and ISS thinks they are being treated unfairly

Take it you're not a forum-wh**re like everyone else here; more like:
IAC says "lets pew-pew abit" IAC say "we might take your stations" ISS say "are you serious?" IAC says "maybe" ISS calls in as much firepower they can with their wallet and shareholders to protect shareholders interests against a viable threat (IAC should consider that a compliment).
Why is this being gone over again. There was a 20+ page thread that confirmed that IAC were the aggressors; even IAC posted chat logs that confirmed it.
ISS may be in a pile of proverbial pile of dog stuff at the moment, but they didn't want this war and they didn't want any IAC outposts

You sure SoD joined in tho?
Seeing as YouWhat are minus to most of the north i doubt they were involved either.

Seeing as YouWhat are minus to most of the north i doubt they were involved either.
You're right, I was quoting alliance members, not numbers logged on. ISSN consists of roughly 100+ members, so 24 logged on seems about right. Remember, ISSN is a VERY small part of an Industrial Alliance.
SoD have moved up north for the time being, not sure exactly how much they've been active in today's aggressions, but I'm guessing a LOT (they seem to hate ISS).

David's dramatic reenactment in the last few weeks:
IAC: We're going to start attacking you en masse. ISS: Okay, we'll adjust standings. IAC: ISS IS ATTACKING US!!!! ISS: Uhh... Okay... Anyway, are you going to siege our stations? IAC: Yes, but we'll be coy and cryptic and say "maybe" so we can rally the propaganda machines in the event that things don't go as planned. ISS: Are you serious? IAC: Yes. ISS: Well, we can't afford to hire mercenaries to fight a defensive outpost war for weeks and weeks and weeks, we'd better try to end this quickly. IAC: OMGORGE!!! YOU TOOK ONE OF OUR STATIONS!!!!! ISS: Would you like your station back? All you have to do is stop attacking us. IAC: Hell no, I'm gonna call for backup and post about this to exhaustion, then we're going to try to wipe you off the face of the map. ISS: Oh ****... D2: Sweet, we can grab EC back and wipe out ISS for some reason. ISS: Oh well. Guess our investors get borked.

Indeed, today we unveilled our capital ship fleet upon EC-P, knocking all posses into reinforced and holding off the D2 forces trying to get there first (I may or may not be lying )

To be perfectly honest, there's no support we could provide which is needed. I mean I dont think there's been much if any resistance at any of the outpost locations so far, so there's little point in SoD napping D2 (omg, naps ) simply to provide numbers in systems which dont need it. Last thing SoD wants to do, imo ofc, is get involved in these uber-blob situations; it's much more fun for us to roam around PB etc and keep D2 on their toes (lord knows I haven't seen any ISS doing it), rather than sit in a system for 18 hours at a time blowing holes in posses (I know thats not why I joined anyway )

First of all about the whining: I don't see anyone from ISS whining, really... It was simply stated that you have invaded our systems, that's a mere fact. I only see a lot of post of people beating themselves on the chest and making funny noises
All in all it comes down to two alliances that somehow just can't seem to get along. We can go on all day long about who started it, but fact is we say it was IAC and they say it was us. That will not change, so let's not try to.
I do know for a fact that we really tried to make peace with IAC, your spies in our alliance should be able to confirm that. I must say I cannot say the same about IAC, but I'm sure you have your reasons. Now it comes down to who has the biggest friends.
Let's try too see this for what it is, exciting times in EVE, something that makes flying around in this space worthwhile. Let's be civil and enjoy the epic events with little smack and mutual respect. These are exciting times!

For the record, SOD are in full support of IAC, D2 and all the other ISS-bashing forces in the north and are actively seeking to engage ISS forces anywhere, any time. However, we have no standings with D2, and in fairness they seem to be doing pretty damn well on their own without us. D2 were just the only people out flying today, and we were bored. So we shot them. Meh.
You can be sure that if SOD was needed, we would be right there. You can be sure that if SOD were really harming the northern war machine, we would stop blowing it up. As it stands, it's all good baby, pewpew!

ISS original motto was to be neutral with all, but that doesnt given you the right to interfrence into someone space such as IAC which i know u put up POS next door to F4 before War begun, apparently ISS seem to be aggrave the situation and u call your allies such as LV/Fix/MC and took out their deathstar POS with impressive showing of LV titan in action.
Now 2-3 week onm **** have hit the fan, with massive offense have begun today with beseiging ISS space, apparent u not being Neutral enough.
Now D2/SoD/IMP/RA/Goons/TCF/AAA bearing down on ISS space to support IAC in south and retake station in north for D2/SoD to take care of and IMP/RA/Goons/TCF/AAA supporting IAC fleet in retaking F4 who have been take by ISS earlier thx to backing of thier Allies who apparent with 12 hour to prepare a counter-response but yet no fleet to appear except sucide frig pilot to move cyno/fuel and settign up random Tower with fuel to put it into reinforcement to waste our time/delay as tactics?
ISS, even with all your isk and backup, u know your time is up, and u cannot win with this huge overwhelming odds that multipe hostiles alliance attackign from North and South.
Foolish move indeed to provoke IAC. Everything have it Rise and Fall, that is life and truth u have to face.

Just to update how things stand at this minute.
A force consisting of Mostly IAC capital ships Blasted all of KDF's POS's into reinforced. This was accompanied by 190 AAA support ships, 120 IAC support and more Goonswarm then you can shake a stick at :P.
After Finishing with KDF, the Allied Forces moved to F4 and began shooting the towers claiming Sov in F4R.
6 ISSN pos's were Offline while we began shooting, 2 were managed to get back into onlined mode before we could take advantage of this miraculous(sp) windfall.
This makes a total of 5 F4 towers in the hands of IAC, while all the towers in F4 and KDF are in Reinforced. No resistance of any kind has been met so far. Much thanks to all of our friends who showed up for the party.

It is now pretty obvious why IAC went to war with ISS. IAC is just playing lapdog to their allies up north. In reality, D2 needed a base of operations for their upcoming attack against BoB. When Iss retaliated, all IAC needed to do was wait for Iss allies to leave the region and for the puppetmasters to show up and finish the plan. The freighters going in querious and delve all at the exact time of the iss/iac war is further proof of the upcoming invasion.

Does it really matter that the shareholders own the stations? D2 would of came and took the stations no matter how the war began. I mean, come on, d2 needs a base of operations in the south to start the invasion of bob

I'm sure BOB would be the first to agree that if they were left with one region..they would NOT be on top of any war. This is not smack...it is guidance for the Infiltrator. BOB will fight hard to maintain territory, harder than most
I am not a BOB fan obviously, but that doesn't mean I don't have respect for what they have done, and what they are capable of.

LOL @ ISS. ISS think they're invincible " We can hire all the guns we want!!!! ". They suddenly realize, Oh ****!! Things arent going as planned. Pew-Pew on AAA, IAC, TCF, (and whoever I forgot to mention) for attacking poor nublet-filled ISS. Since force won't solve the problem, TO TEH FORUMS!! What makes me laugh most about ISS's forum warrior's comments, is to argue about whether or not IAC declared they were gonna take stations. Here's somethin you might've failed to think about oh mighty ISS forum warriors. Did IAC say they were gonna take F4 first... or ZXIC. B/C if they did say F4...... it can go on awhile from here I'm sure. Work hard, mighty ISS forum warriors, B/C I TOTALLY believe in you.

Thank you for a good laugh after a night in the pub! yeah, IAC said they were going to take F4; cause they like their own stations. I'd take my own station if I could.
IAC said something like "pos attacks are not ruled out". You can find it on these forums, just take a few minutes. If all they wanted was some pew-pew, they really should have said so, when there were asked very clearly by Count.
ISS aren't invincible and have never claimed to be. They have around 1,800 members, of which maybe 200 are full time pvpers; invincible - hardly. They saw a threat to their shareholders' assets and reacted accordingly, which meant brining in mercs. ISS relied on the hope that they had diversified shareholders; which hopefully meant none of the major alliances would attack them and maybe that didn't work.
Tbh, the multilateral action against ISS this weekend must have been weeks in the planning not a reaction to the IAC vs ISS situation.
Forget the forum warriors. Eve has a great capacity to amaze all involved and the politics are half the fun. Saying that, however, there are a few things that can be taken as a fact in this game, a few of which are: 1) IAC aggressed 2) F4 belonged to IAC to start with
There is nothing wrong with IAC aggressing, I don't understand why people keep denying it. It's a game, if it makes it more fun, go right ahead. I have to give props to BoB for playing it like it should be!

Um if D2 wanted a simple and fast way into the south to be of easy access to BOB for war, what about the supposid allies main areas latly or Curse, heard that Goon and TCF hang around there, and the stations are NPC :P not many needed losses to setup there lmao. If you want Tinfoil hats and want to reject Stain as a good staging area, theres always a great many other staging areas, not like Stain isnt 10 jumps from ISS space and alot closer to IAC parts as well.

As far as the ridiculous tinfoil-hattery of the OMG ANTIBOB COALTION, perhaps IAC attacked ISS because they didn't like them, other people joined in for the same reason, and at the end, the interests of IAC and D2 aligned, as it meant D2 could easily take two northern outposts, and not have to actually worry about ISS reacting to it.
No conspiracy, just opportune timing and coinciding interests.

I doubt it was so much the timing of IAC as it was that ISS was already tapped from the previous hiring of mercs. ISS itself reacting to defend its stations was probably the least of their worries.

So, after wading through 10 pages of "OMG we PWN J00!!!" posts, I have yet to see someone say something along these lines, and I just want to drive something home quick:
The original poster (Algey) stated that their enemies LIED??!? about what/where/how (cross out unneeded field) they were going to attack?
Now... lets think about this, isnt one of the primary tactics used in military operations one of DECEPTION?
Or do we all before we decide to attack a POS, eve-mail our prospective targets something like this:
Dear Sirs/Madams,
On the 12th day of August at exactly 17:00 eve-time, we will attack your POS in PWN-JU system, planet IV, moon 2. We will bring the following ships: blah blah and be fitted with these mods: blah blah rabble blah.
Please make sure you keep the POS low on stront so i dont have to wait all day.
Thanks
Your attackers...
Now, who else would totally disregard a mail like this? I know I would. So why do we moan when they dont do what they say they were gonna do. Remember, they're HOSTILES, they dont have ANY reason to tell you anything truthful, and in fact id have less respect for them if they did cos it would mean that the Ego is bigger than the brain.

Doesn't actually matter though, does it? Can't recall trust demanding 200 bill ISK for the station.
But in the end, there is of course no way to enforce such a deal without big guns and pew pew. D2 took the outpost with fleets of warships, and they don't have to provide any justification to anyone if they don't feel like it. The old mantra is worth repeating, though: 'In EVE, ISK is fleeting but rep is eternal.' -----

I haven't been playing long but for a little while now I've been living both in EC and in Lonetrek. These are my own personal observations and opinions.
D2 needed to take EC. EC has been completely lawless for the entire time I've been there. The gate to Torrinos was always camped by some corp or alliance and it always changed regularly. Anyone that wanted to could just show up and take the gate over and decide for themselves who flew in and who didn't.
Now imagine that you are D2 and you have this HUGE hole right at the edge of empire into the north. How would this make you feel?
I was in Cassini when the assault started. It started with just a handful of ships taking over the gate to Torrinos. Later on the blob showed up and started taking out POS's. I tried to undock so I could fraps the titan but they knew what they were doing and kept the system locked down. The whole time they were there only one person talked smack and the rest of D2 chastized them for it. There was just one person talking constant smack and it was some neutral that was ****ed that their free looting days were over. We ended up just having normal conversation while everything went on. What else are you gonna do?
It's my opinion that D2 just got tired of having a huge messy hole to empire and wanted it cleaned up and secured. ISS couldn't secure it. My corp was working on getting enough people to clear out the random gatecamps and we were close, but we couldn't do it alone and with most of ISS in the south, we weren't going to get any help from them doing it either. EC really was a mess, but it was a fun mess.
The goal of ISS is to make 0.0 space accessible to anyone. It's really not that hard to see that maybe some alliances do not want the pathways to their space open to any noob that can fly a frigate, let alone an experienced pilot that wants to drop cyno's on someones doorstep. I see this as a security issue and nothing more. I don't think D2 jumped on any bandwagon, they just took advantage of an opportunity to clean up a very important system that needed cleaning up.
The second that D2 announced war we knew exactly what was happening and some of us actually wondered why it took them so long to do it. I personally didn't feel that it was in any way related to wanting to join an ISS gang bang, but simply being a matter of smart logistics. Maybe they did want to join in on a gang bang. I don't know but I didn't get that impression. Gang bangs usually involve a lot of smack in local and I just didn't see it.
I really do wish we could have worked out some kind of deal to stay, but whoever owns the space makes the rules. EC has been fun and I learned a LOT about staying alive there since it has been one of the most hostile systems. At any given day you could open a map and show ship deaths in the options and EC would have been the biggest bright spot of any gateway system to 0.0.
Congrats to D2 for being effective, efficient, and professional about their takeover of EC. Yeah it sucks to have your ass kicked, but you gotta admire someone that can do it with respect.

If that's true then it seems to me the right reaction to the: 'We hug / form mutual defense pacts etc. with 2/3 of the EVE universe' - mentality of some other parties currently, that have maybe still the goal currently to finish LV , but gang-bang BoB afterwards.
That's at least how all this nap'ing across north, east and south feels. And I hope they (LV/BoB/whoever) kick you in the balls for it. Sorry for seeming bitter, maybe I am a bit. Hehe.
( Sad enough I'm / we are currently not in the position to do anything about it. I'd prefer to be still on the frontline and shoot at goons etc. instead of hanging around, where I am now. Only way for me would be to leave corp and alliance and join another one who is still strong and active in that conflict. )

You've done ISS a huge favour.
That system has been like a bastard child ever since BoB gave it to them, and D2 didn't want it back originally (preferring to be paid for it instead).
Congratulations D2, you are now the proud owners of one utterly unprofitable and dreadfully situated Gallente outpost one jump from a 0.5 system. Impressive.

ISS's goals have always been much more about creating commerce in 0.0 and making an effort to open up 0.0 space by a NRDS policy. This of course is not a goal much of EVE cares about, especially all of you out there who operate on a NBSI policy. We in TGRADs, while we had the pleasure to live in EC and operate ISS Cassini, had a mission that was very similar, which is to introduce newer players to 0.0 space. In our short time there, we learned EC is really the armpit of EVE...and now we see if D2 can do anything with EC, or if it is going to remain the Mos Isley Spaceport of EVE. Enjoy the constant hunting by TRI, Burn Eden, etc., maybe you'll get more use out of EC than we did, but I doubt it.
Anyways, I personally have no hatred for D2's surprise attack on us. TBH, it was a brilliant move strategically, at least in the short term, and allowed them to basically take a outpost without opposition. EVE only respects strength, and as such, I respect the move they made. Whether this move benefits D2 in the long run, only time will tell.

We had a good run in EC, and while I'm sorry to see it end, that's the way things go in Eve. Definitely learned a lot while there -- solo ninja mining crokite in EC in a retriever is kind of a rush, in it's own way, especially when the hostile count in local was well into double digits. I sometimes felt like one of those gazelles that taunts the lions. I'm proud of the fact that I never got popped in a retriever (though goldenboy got me in an Osprey I think).
Came to respect TRI a lot, fun guys. We sure saw a lot of them. Crazies will fight anyone. :) Never saw D2 much, and so was surprised they are so interested in EC now. In fact, I think I was the first casualty in D2's war on ISS - they were still blue on my over-view when they popped me this weekend. I feel like the first soldier killed in WW2. (Some Polish cavalryman?) Oh well.
Anyway, looks like our run in EC is over. Was fun while it lasted -- mostly.

Thanks for the props Crozon! I think we're a pretty classy mature group too, if I do say so myself. But I know many TGRADs aren't happy, as they have lost billions of isk worth of assets in one fell swoop...and the fact that D2 probably could have just received EC/Cassini if they asked for it diplomatically makes it hurt all the more. But, as you point out, we do realize it is just a game. And the EVE political landscape is always in motion. Today's top-dog is just as likely to be in tomorrow's dustbin of history.
TGRADs will survive and come out the stronger for this, I am sure, because the people in this corp have the right perspective and maturity to weather this storm. And by all means, do look us up if you are interested...contact Manas or Ronan Teisdari. Fly safe!

Huh? If we kept out the "riff-raff", how is that making 0.0 space accessible to everyone? Contradiction much? That "riff-raff" IS everyone and were the customers that we were there to serve.
Go ahead and laugh. At least we are attempting something very unique, difficult to do in this game, and different than almost any other corp or alliance. Go ahead and enjoy your perma bubblecamps, NBSI policy, and PvP orientation. I'm am sure at the end of the day you can say that you did something that nobody else has been able to do in EVE.

Well, IAC doesn't operate an NBSI policy and we promote free space like you. We do however police it (best we can) and aren't afraid to call out our enemies.
For the general 0.0 EVE pilot, IAC controlled stations make no difference whatsoever.
Sadly for your shareholders, your leadership's poor management cost them dearly :( .... and this continued ignorance of their concerns and the fact that you're all harping on that losing stations 'won't hurt ISS' is just like a slap in the face for the people that REALLY own them.

I'm sorry, I'm afraid I have to disagree. The shareholders of Marginis have been negatively affected by a war of aggression by IAC. I'm somewhat biased, I admit, but I don't count it a failure of _management_ when a next door neighbour decides to start a fight.
I'm also a shareholder of Marginis, and I'm not pleased with the turn of events. They're events I've on several occasions tried to prevent or divert, but ... well obviously that's not turned out so well.

Actually, it was ISS management who asked IAC to set the scope of the conflict. E.g. whether it would include POSes or not. Now, given that they said 'it might include POSes' what would you consider the responsible action at that point?

They really should make it a requirement for people who want to post on this forum, to READ this forum.
FACT: IAC did not rule out pos warfare when asked point blank by the Count. Stating things like "we'll see who ends up with the stations". He asked this noting that it would determine the nature of the conflict. If IAC just wanted some pew-pew, they should have just said so and that's all it would have been; no calling in of mercs and no taking of stations. BTW. chat dialogs relating to this were posted by IAC, look it up!
FACT: Responding to this threat to their shareholder's outposts, ISS called everything they could to defend said shareholders interests.
FACT: ISS have no interest in IAC space or stations, they responded to a credible threat to shareholder interests.

So by escalating the conflict they turned the 'might' into a 'certainly will'. The responsible action would be first trying to get some accurate intel, if IAC were actually preparing for or planning a POS a assault rather than headlong storming into one - apparently without being prepared for fighting one seriously.
For all we know that 'maybe' from IAC could just have been IAC's leadership holding their options open depending how events unfold without actually having any particularly concrete plans.

You're entirely correct, 'maybe' they didn't intend it to turn into the scale of conflict it did. Then again, 'maybe' it was just hecause there were plans and intentions, but if it didn't work out that way, it'd provide a convenient backpedal. Or are you suggesting that we should be aware of the capital ships that could quite easily be parked in jump range somehow before they undock to make their strike. 'maybe' the inital assault was what cased the dreadnought assault to be delayed until after christmas, which in theory gave time to talk.
I know for sure, that within 2 hours of the announcement, 200 pilots were attacking ISS. I know for sure that there was a report of 'possible hostile action' from a friend in another organisation a few days before. I expected at the time, and now know for certain that IAC had agents within ISS. I mean, who starts a war without a good idea of what they're facing? Not exactly nice, but ... well that's the way EVE goes.
Hindsight's pretty good, but second guessing 'might have beens' is often fruitless.

Seriously, Veldspar gravel on your head? I work at a hospital, I can have that looked at...
Would it really have been wise for ISS to wait until IAC attacked their stations? Take a few minutes and go back a couple of pages on this forum.
I'm quoting from memory but the chat went along the lines of: IAC: we want to fight ISS: on a serious note does this mean pos warfare? IAC: maybe
IAC had been planning this for weeks (minimum) while still being blue to ISS, ISS had days to respond once IAC had declared their intentions. Who knows what IAC had planned.
With the information they had at hand, it seemed that ISS outposts were at risk. ISS don't have sleeper agents, corp spies, vent/ts spies, kb sabatuers, pos offliners or corp hanger stealers in their employment (unlike most of their enemies). The only intel they had at the time was that IAC were now hostile and hadn't ruled out pos warfare when asked directly whether that would happen.
The only way ISS would have gained intel indicating IAC's true intention (contrary to what their diplomats have stated, if their true intention was merely some pew-pew) would be to have an agent within their ranks, which I don't believe ISS would stoop to.

That's something I personally would love to see CCP implement into EvE. The ability to blow up player built outposts. Stands to reason that if we can put them up, we can sure as hell tear them down.

If you think personally having an alt/spy in another alliance is the only way of getting intel, you are mistaken. People talk and any kind of larger scale mobilisation will typically create rumours you will be able to pick up, if you ask around your friends/allies a bit.
In any case, it was this act of aggression and escalation by ISS based on a 'maybe' that made ISS lose a lot of goodwill with others who had previously still given them the benefit of the doubt regarding their neutrality. By allying themselves with several highly political entities against another on an offensive campaign, that was thrown into the wind, which is a very dangerous proposition for an entity whose continued presence in 0.0 largely depends on the goodwill of its neighbours.

There's much longer queue of these who would like to kill than these who would like to build. Give the former what they want and the latter pretty much cease to bother.
Or in other words, how many motherships and titans do you think were built if they were impossible to move and couldn't be logged off?

It's well documented that we entered system with 35-40 frigs, intys, and AF's. We got pasted by your BS gang after some crazy fun fights, then we got into BS's and destroyed your gang.
IAC has never had 200 in a gang, that would require alliance participation :P --------------------------------------------

But now this latest conflict. ISS then bungled it again by bringing in MC and thinking they would get a quick win. IAC held firm and totally turned it around. Count T made 2 public statements which Tyrrax rebuffed. The Count played politics the whole way instead of addressing IAC directly. ISS are now in trouble. However, remember IAC are not a conquering alliance and its now D2 and LV that are the real threat to ISS and with that its bye bye ISS- unless they can afford to employ BoB and that cost not even ISS can pay.

I am really bazzled by the negative response to ISS leadership and ISS their actions.
I have been a large shareholder of ISS stations from the moment they were build. And all those shares are probably worthless now.
That doesn't make me want to blame ISS leadership? On the contrary, ISS went out with a bang! When their was a threat they used their own money to hire mercs to deal with the problem. They have done everything in their power to protect the starbases. They have done alot to try to keep the space safe for visitors and in making the stations profitable.
They have turned a very small alliance into a huge alliance who at one time owned the most outposts ingame.
They were the first alliance who set up such a major public investment and they actually did open up 0 sec for non-alliance members.
Ofcourse someone might have run the alliance differently. Ofcourse someone might have made a different decision. But while running such a large operation in very hostile territory it is very hard to keep everyone as your friend.
The only way ISS could work would be as long as everybody recognised ISS for the public service that they are.
Every major alliance in this game could have destroyed ISS whenever they wanted. ISS has never been the biggest military power in the game, and they weren't supposed to be.
I personally find it cowardly of IAC to lure out hostile activities from ISS and trying to justify their destruction of something beautiful in EVE. I find it cowardish of the GOONS and D2 for supporting and assisting in these actions. And I think it is a shame that no major alliance is standing up to assist ISS agains the obviously overwhelming number of forces.
As always, it pays being evil.
But my respect and thanks go out to all the ISS members and leaders for the 18 months of creating a public 0 sec space. and making the shares worth the investment. 1 and a half year in 0 sec space.
There are not many alliances that can say that they accomplished that.
Archa out.

Archa out.
QFT...good going to all the gangbangers...truly, your bravery inspires the rest of us...

Thanks for your kind words, however ISS are not dead and your shares are not worthless. We're still discussing things internally but there will be a shareholder meeting to discuss things. The announcement of time and date is still pending, though it SHOULD be posted some time tonight or tomorrow.

Sorry to interrupt your arguing but any word on what's going to happen to Calico? You know, the private LV sponsored ISS-managed outpost in C3-something in a nice set of deadend systems in Western Tenerifis.

If someone thinks those are a good idea to attack, they'll have to deal with LV. Those stations belong to LV.

And people wonder why ISS's apolitical stance has been rejected by the other alliances. ISS was "getting in bed" with LV. Then, ISS gets attacked and who shows up... magically LV appears. Tbh, honest on it's own the LV-ISS deal could be seen as bias on ISS's part, however, one very important point, you've missed out on is the fact that ISS would have been open to similar arrangement with other alliances, even alliances hostile to LV
ISS has never dismissed off-hand doing business with any party; it's just a shame that more alliances didn't start a private outpost business with ISS; if that had happened, there would have been a lot more people showing up apart from LV.
Oh, and why would ISS want to fight a battle on their own? They are an industrial alliance and were not designed for large-scale conflict. I'm sure it was a case of "the more the merrier" from ISS's viewpoint.

I understand that they would have been open to a simliar arrangment with other alliances... the problem is that they shouldn't have gone into business with another alliance if they wanted to be "neutral" or "apolitical" or whatever word their charter says these days.
My understanding of the agreement for the LV/ISS stations is that LV buys a station, pays for it completely, ISS members hang out there and do carebear activitys there like build things, and mine. The benifit is that LV gets a market full of modules that they can buy, as well as office rental fees, docking fees and other station service fees. ISS gets any resources from the moons they have POS's at in the system, and the profits from selling things on the market.
This ties the two together closer than just a client - costomer relationship. The members of ISS who managed that station, might as well just join LV, they would retain all of the perks of using an LV station, with none of the drawbacks of being in ISS. (A "navy" that is too spread out to be effective)
to the other point: I believe you're right that they did think "the more the merrier" when The Enslaver was parked at a POS in F4r. The problem is managment of ISS failed to realize the consiquences of standing sholder to sholder with a very political alliance such as LV. That having LV onboard for the conquest of that system further sealed the marriage between LV and ISS. The NEW ISS IPO

Edited by: Xander Magnus on 11/01/2007 00:48:38 Ofcourse ISS isn't a pvp force, and the fact that people ridicule ISS for it shows they don't understand the concept. If ISS had been a pvp force to recon with the surrounding alliances wouldn't have been very fond of having ISS so close to their space. By not intimidating and posing a threat to other alliances there would be no reason to fear and attack ISS. The only pvp they did was trying to keep the pipes as clean as possible, which safed my life a couple of times I recon.
But ofcourse IAC has the perfect reason, of which I heard several:
1. ISS started it, which is kind of weird because IAC invaded ISS space first. But then again, placing market orders can be an act of aggression as well. There were several other reasons which are today referred to as: ISS didn't listen to our complaints in the past. Note this war started after ISS adjusted the charter to adhere to IAC concerns, which is dismissed as being too late.
2. ISS may not have started the war, but they sure as hell started attacking POS! They should have waited for us to do that first, we just kept our options open. Now you can see how very clever of us this is! If we did attack their POS first we could have said: we didn't say we wouldn't, and base out of The Bottleshop. Now we can say: we didn't reeeally plan on shooting POS, you made it into that and now we take their stations for a reason. Smart!
3. EVE is about shooting stuff. So we don't really need a reason, we'll just take those nice stations from the shareholders and enjoy the income. After all, EVE makes it possible for us to go back in time to where brutal strenght determined who owned something.
You may notice some sarcasm in there, but that's mostly because of the bashing ISS has gotten on the forums here. They don't deserve that, they worked hard on this concept and they have earned our respect for all they have achieved. If you want to take the stations and do the fleet battles go ahead, but respect your enemy, which goes both ways. Anyhow, the reason why this war started is probably not a point of discussion anymore, it's just a repetition of what we've already read.
Let it be clear I did not mention D2 here, they have reasons of their own that are a bit more convincing. This is really just a smart strategic move from their part, although I do feel sorry for the shareholders.
I somehow still have hope that one of the bigger alliances will step in and stop the fall of the outposts of ISS, or else prices will rise in 0.0 once more and I'll need to go to empire to get my stuff.

You don't have the first clue what you are talking about.
IAC products have always been competetively priced IAC has had stations in the area for quite some time IAC has balls to protect neutrals who are in IAC controlled space.
I think you will find that Catch is going to become a much better place for business.
As soon as this war ends we will go back to NRDS status and all neutral traders will be welcomed.

Ah - you just want to trade! Well if you wanted more stations in Catch to sell stuff from, why did not simply ask to buy our stations? They are after all publicly owned. If you had made reasonable offer I am sure that it would have been accepted.

I think that the ISS, Maelstrom and the Myriad Alliance will not be the only small alliances to being victims of this wars. The day you declared that you were a part of the block of Reds/Goons/AAA, and that your security was guaranteed by them, you also lost always to be an alliance that traded and mined small. The madness to attack your neighbor with crushing PvP for small reasons and then to destory them instead of peace will be yours to perhaps drink very soon.

Edited by: Pakmule on 11/01/2007 13:05:35 Nice reading comprehension. Nowhere in my post did I say that IAC was just a small mining and manufacturing alliance.
I stated that IAC would be going back to a NRDS policy as soon as possible. That neutrals would be welcome at the stations and IAC has the strength to actually make Catch safer than it was for those neutrals.
Putting up an outpost does little to bring civilian infrastructure to 0.0 without the strength to control that space and keep it safe for those civilians.
edit: Just to be clear. These posts are my opinions and do not necesarily represent the opinions of my corp or alliance.

we only go to NBSI during times of war.
We are friendly to pirates because they don't shoot us, and they use NRDS in our sovergn space.
and the whole "i'll make a pirate out of you yet" is a joke on the fact that ISS called me a pirate.

You've obviously never been to our part of space before the wars. Due to ISS's neutrality, they wouldn't, and couldn't, stop anyone from shooting anyone else. That's why PRI love ISS so much. Personally I think it was due to how far they were spread out.
Ever since our first outpost, and fighting CC/CDC back in the day, IAC has always maintained an armed presence in our area. Trading Routes such as the Doril Pipe were not always secure, but we did regular raid ups there to disrupt camps.
If you are neutural to us in our space during a NRDS time period, we will do our best to make sure you are safe. And being that it is 0.0, there is no way we can guarentee your full safety. Trying to reimburse losses to neutruals would be moronic, because everyone dies in 0.0.

We had a fight today yes.
We lost yes.
"murdered" no.
ISS and U'k forces decided to shoot a TCF pos in zxic that had been left un armed. they brought in a force of 150 pilots and 12ish carriers.
IAC along with goonswarm got lazy and took way to long to gather a reasonable force. Finally after whipping the miners into submision we had a combined gang of 100.
We decided to jump straight in, however, the ISS forces decided to jump into 2j as we jumped into ZXIC, we then chased the ISS forces about 5 jumps to w9 where they had a camp all set up and waiting for us.
After waiting 3 hours for a fight i was not about to turn tail and run. So i told the goons, "you jump, I jump" and i was not disappointed by the multi-tude of gate fires that followed. Needless to say we got salughtered on the other side.
As soon as i jumped in I was emergency warped to a safe, along with the rest of my gang. I knew the goons were on the gate and i couldn't in good conscience leave them there to die alone so I ordered all of my pilots back into the fight.
Lag was killer, it took me 2 minutes to reload the gate and about 10 minutes to lock my primary. During this time I noticed the numerical superiority held by ISS and gang warped to a safe.
We lost about 20 of 60 pilots. Killed 1 tempest and a rifter through the lag.
GF ISS, I sure hope its not the last. --------------------------------------------

I've enjoyed both two fights this week, both GE- and W9-. I must say the lag was horrible in W9 - primaries were called however I saw no hostiles on my overview (or on our first three in command for calling targets). Very few things show up as I never saw IAC fully jump into W9. I just noticed 212 in local. We only had around 100 ish pilots also, not 150 at that time. I think while we were shooting the pos were we up a bit more, but we are very EU based. All our engagements seem to be at when everyone wants to go to bed.
Either way, gf both days and I hope to see some more as a Navy member. Pos war is dreadfully boring.
PS. I thought the GE- battle was way cooler, but somehow I managed to turn off fraps in the mashing of f1-8 :\ so I only have the W9- battle on fraps, which I'll be release a vid soon :D
PPS. Did Eight Bit Survive? He was in like 10% structure and I thought he exploded until I hear in local that he wanted a t-shirt saying he survived w9-.

We re sorry for the smack, we were telling people to be quite just given it was late EU time i think quite a few people were pretty drunk! Gus Preston smacking us from another system (reported by our cov ops!) was just beautiful!
Respect for jumping in and i was amazed how quickly you were moving considering we had a large bubble and dictor bubbles on every gate as we left. Was a bit of a scramble getting ourselves setup.

Edited by: Algey on 12/01/2007 12:08:55 I agree, that was a great fun fight. The last two battleship engagements have been equal, followed by us winning rather than handily (was rather a nice ambush I must say, was rather proud of that one). Much better than the couple before that where you absolutely hammered us to bits
I still wish you'd just bought the pesky stations than forced me to stare at POS's though, I hate POS warfare.

Algey, morale boosting on a trap that was won from an lag is comical. Thats life in EVE, you take it where you can get it, but patting yourselves on the back is down right amusing since the winner of the fight is 99.99% always going to be who already have the environment loaded.

Hahaha!! Yes! I survived :D Like Foo I was emergency warped away from the gate, when I warped back it took like a minute for the environment to load and as soon as it did my shield started to go down quite rapidly. My guns were hot so I was frantically trying to target the primary or atleast shoot something but nothing happened. What happened next was that my armor melted like snow for the sun and since I still didn't shoot due to the lag I figured I'd try to jump back through... at that time there were like 20 to 30 pilots blinking red iirc... ofcourse after giving the jump command nothing happened and my structure went down to 5% when suddenly the word "jumping" appeared in my screen... nothing happened meanwhile.. all stood still for another minute until it finally reloaded the next system.. I made it out with 5% structure Now gimme a t-shirt!!

Bah chill Kay, give credit where credit is due. Sounds like you guys had good fights even with the lag issues.... sorry I missed it tbh.
Why can't more threads and fights be as amicable and entertaining? Good job ISS - keep them coming! This is the fun IAC was looking for all along. POS warfare FTL.

That lag was horrible. I intantly emergencey warped after warping in...when I got back I luckily was on the gate but my overview didn't load at all. I could see red but not on my overview. I tried to lock but by the time I selected a target they moved or was gone. I just finally jumped back into ge and said screw that....That pretty much ruined my thoughts of 0.0 for the evening...I really wish the node didn't suck...

lag was absolutely terrible. I was the guy in the rifter. I got my very first honest to god killmail tho. After my kill, I warped off in a flaming ship. I let the shield recharge a bit, then went back in. That rifter wasnt callled 'divine wind IV' for no reason The kill I made was on a fellow t1 tackler. I salute IAC and goon for giving us a harrowing end to a long boring night of gatecamps and pos-pewpew. However, I still think EvE needs more and better tactical warning sounds.

we didn't exactly have 100% of people loaded either mate. i for one spent 10mins jamming willbot (who was the only person on my overview) and listening to the primaries, a lot of people reported the same problem after. it probably was a good fight, i just hope next time i can see it :P -

Your fleet was on the gate. most with drones out.
Your carriers were in system and had fighters assigned.

We were sat on the f4r gate for about 2 hours if you wanted to fight there you had more than enough time to, we assumed you were waiting for us to leave so you could try and get us without fighter support and a large bubble. As we were jumping out we noticed you jump in behind us. We didnt expect you to persue but as soon as we worked out you were we jumped our carriers into w9- . It was a trap because A) you probably doubted we d stop and fight and B) we wouldnt have carriers.
Yes you lagged out as did we, but its the way the game is, the people who succeed are those who handle it best. Besides it all evens out in the end, next week it ll us moaning about lag and you saying how much you slaughtered us.
Again gf, we re not questioning you balls but you win you loose it happens, accept it.

Maybe give more ISK payout for long-term bets, rather than single conflicts.

I must say, I am impressed at IAC's ability to catch random carrier pilots.
Yeah, I love lilan's new sig too :D Davik made it! I think ISSN needs new sigs ^^
And honestly I think it's a morale boost for both sides since we aren't blobbing and shooting poses. It gives both sides to think and try to take advantage of situations. IAC wanted pvp right?

The GMs answered my petition on the F4 POS guns smartarse just yesterday. And are looking into it further. Everyone knows POS guns don't take out dreads but they do provide dreads something to think about when stront runs low and the opposition might be gathering NOS/Neut/Interdiction on top of your dread fleet.
Guns not firing at all because of some 600+ people in local and more in a 2 jump spread around the area on a new code base is something that needs to be looked into.
Sorry if your so passionate about trying to dismantle my ego, which is a fools errand I might add, that you need to bring up this type of attack.
As for lag, IAC don't like laggy, slide show fights. I take no pleasure in winning them and equally take none in loosing them. That is why I will squash an attempt to count it as a GF. When ISS can win toe to toe without lag that forces the DEVs to reboot the server then they can say it was a good fight.

No, I have given the IAC side of this war. Raste is saying I smack talk when I win and excuse myself when I loose. Infact, the only time I have ever seen him in local when I was when we ganked him while assisting Ragoons. I convo'ed him to have a friendly Team Minmatar back and forth and all he did was demonstrate an acute arrogance. It spilled into the Team Minmatar ingame channel. Then it spilled into the Team Minmatar web forum. And it started spilling here, and he's called several TM people alts who post when banned out for the the moderations. It has been in posts where LV have some stake in it. All that can be confirmed. His lies about how I act cannot. He keeps calling us bandwagon from the first LV titan blast... when I only showed a picture the RAGOONS made. We were on our way to the party in fact but were told not to come because of the lag.
The fact that he doesn't know me, know how I act in local or know what is going on in general means he is talking out his arse. In other words, he is lying.
Anyone that knows me and talks to me on vent knows that I scream at them to STFU in local. To not smack ISS when we gank their industrialists and any ISS that has access to our forums can account for that.
Proof or STFU.
The POS incedent he is talking of is under GM review, although we never expected to get anything out of it. It was there as a bug report and a vent of fustration with current POS Blobfare. This was the first time, from what I understand, that 600+ people in one system with POS warfare on the menu ever graced the new revelations code. Thus, its a real opportunity to see bugs never seen before. I run the POS myself, my standings were all set. The guns never shot. They did shoot later when local was down in numbers... every last gun. Same corporations too. Excuse? I think not. Fustrating... very.
Sorry James but how it is from my side of the table.

Fustrating... very.
Sorry James but how it is from my side of the table.
holy lol

Originally by: Kaylana Syi war. Raste is saying I smack talk when I win and excuse myself when I loose. Infact, the only time I have ever seen him in local when I was when we ganked him while assisting Ragoons.
First time I ever saw you, you were smacking your ass off in 1v- local when V still owned it. Then, at some later point in c-j you got the blob vs claw killmail, which I somehow knew you would work in here sooner or later.
Originally by: Kaylana Syi I convo'ed him to have a friendly Team Minmatar back and forth and all he did was demonstrate an acute arrogance.
Ok, you made this part up. I don't think I'd even heard of Team Minmatar or SHC at that point.
Originally by: Kaylana Syi It spilled into the Team Minmatar ingame channel..
No, the first time I entered the ingame channel, having never spoken to you before, you started saying something like "sorry for ganking you" and posted the old claw killmail you keep bringing up. This is when I realized your name was familiar from smacking in 1v-. Last time I signed in there you were smacking LV and that pretty much did it for me.
Originally by: Kaylana Syi Then it spilled into the Team Minmatar web forum.
First posts I see from you there are flaming LV, oh wow its a trend.
Originally by: Kaylana Syi And it started spilling here, and he's called several TM people alts who post when banned out for the the moderations.
Several? You mean Murukan?

Well originally it was to say wow, nice, to the blobbage, which I thought was very well executed.
Then we said good fight for the battles, especially the other night, and then Kaylana Syi decided that there are no good fights with ISS, and was smacked silly by some other people. I was pleased to see that Kaylana Syi was not unanimously supported by IAC for that, it's nice that there are enough people on both sides that do want to have fun and don't take things too seriously

Doubt it, that'd leave some corps pretty much unable to field a fleet.

Tonight was good, a bit tense at times, but I think the fighting around ZXIC-7 was ... well definitely interesting. About the only thing I would like to ***** about was the lag. I mean seriously un-fun.
Although I have to say, seeing The Priory as the corp anchoring the towers was a surpise.

For some reason when we got gang warped back to the pos, James and I were running fullspeed while everyone else was stopped (I seriously have no clue why we kept flying straight out of the pos - I guess James and I were bumped...). Luckily I loaded grid right when I was about to leave the shields. James was a but unfortunate. I saw nothing except for the gang that warped back, and James and me flying ahead into empty space.
Oh and I have a fraps of trying to lock targets for 6 minutes, unable to do anything, while Count is telling me to engage fighters =( The lag makes things way too stressful, tbh. _______________________________________ ISS Brings Sexy Back |

just imagine all of this lag free, it would have been one of eve's great evenings, full of combat, warping, tactical maneuvering, and general fun and entertainment all round.
but alas, my experience of it was more a case of warping in, not seeing any ships on the screen, listening to primary targets, still not seeing anything, waiting.............. then the news that they have warped out, and i still wait there patiently, hoping not to be in a pod, as i still havnt loaded the grid up :(

I was thinking the same thing all day today.
That, if it wasn't for the lag, this day full of POS fighting would've been one of my favorite times in all of EvE.
Sadly, lag ruined the fun of the fleet fights. 15 minutes (literally) to load on the first jump into ZXIC was ridiculous. And then 2+ minutes to lock anything, and then another 2 minutes to activate guns *shudder*

Somehow it feels wrong to be agreeing with The Priory but ... I agree. I'm not even entirely sure if the lack of node crashes was actually a good thing. At least when the node goes splat, you know that someone else isn't lighting you up whilst you're helpless.
