While the ISS Outpost Corporations were a failure in terms of ISK to the investors, there were a success for the EvE community and EvE-Online as a game.
1.5 years on from the ISS Marginis IPO, Eve-Online is benefiting from the promotion in RL Press To this day.
To those who chose to mock: Consider by what path you and your corporation first entered 0.0 How long your actions echo in the future remain yet to be seen.

Originally by: The Assyrian How about you IAC douchebags sit this one thread out, and go suck AAA, TCF, NCA, Goonie, and whoever else's***** you had to suck to get bailed out? That's pretty much all your alliance is good for these days.
IAC is the one alliance in all of Eve who has lost multiple stand-up fights to ISS after their little back-stab attack. Just go back to hauling stront and mining ice for AAA.
Wow... you got some hatin' going on there bro...
Cool off, take a chill pill.
It's all good man!
EDIT: On topic- sorry to see the outposts go. Even though I shoot you guys, I always thought that the central idea of ISS was pretty cool. Good luck with future endeavors.

Had Count T. not been a double dealing, back stabbing, arrogant leader your dream would still be here today. You have only him to blaim. The ISS idea was something beautiful and you had people to make it happen.
Problem once it happened... you precious Count tried to ensure its future by violating the most basic prinicples of your charter : Neutrality and later being apolitical.
I can say I had fun removing his ego from catch. GF!

Sorry to see you go, it was a great idea. From my personal vantage point, (admitantly not very large) ISS was a casualty of BoB's attitude. They got caught in the middle of two factions that were bound to go at it. Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed filesize of 24000 bytes -Kreul Intentions ([email protected])

whoever in your cause you may have is irrelevant to personal opinions.. and you have your right to yours. but to anyone reading indifferent to the cause or never having been involved in any of the incidents you speak of, there is another unavoidable piece of evidence..
iss may have had people leave and we may not be as large as we once were, but take a look at our size still. that's still a heck of a lot of people that think otherwise.
so whatever means you use to justify your ends, fine.. but let people draw their own conclusions about who deserves what.

You really need to get off your soapbox with all the broken record mumbo jumbo. ISS was cought breaking their own rules at the highest level. Its not joe public ISS member's fault for anything except your intolerable attitudes on these forums AFTER your alliance leader has been outed as the worst leaders I've seen in EVE to date.

iss is a great example of what happens to entities that sleep with the devil. You threw your lot in with LV and it bit you in the ass.
Empyre the only troll in this thread in you. Hacks such as yourself doomed your allaince. Good luck to the rest of iss in the future.

I firmly agree with this man. Please can people leave it be (from both sides).
You'll notice that this isn't a "death of the ISS" post, so talking about that is kinda off topic IMHO. It's just for talking about the shares & stuff. If you want to speculate on the future of the alliance, feel free to make another thread.
Oh, and thanks to those giving respect. It's nice to see & I appreciate it. Have to say, the pew pew has been rather fun. And definitely a learning experience for me personally.

(disclamer: I'm just one noob, don't take anything I say as any kind of declaration of intent or standing by anyone)
While I'm on the other side of the fence, I have to say it's sad to see Cassini and the other ISS stations go. I don't think they fell because the ideas were flawed, they fell because the leadership abandoned their nuetrality. While LV may have offered protection, that protection came with a price, and now that LV's actions have lead to the current situation, their allies are paying the piper alongside them, sad to see it go down like this.

Your a fool if you honestly think that. ISS accomplised something no one else has, in an MMO. Every empire falls, but while they were there, they were well known. Count did well, despite what the forum trolls say. He accomplished a lot, and I am sure he will in the future.
ISS will come back. With new ideas and morals maybe, and maybe under a different name, but they will be back, and they will prosper. ---------

An era comes to an end.
Thank you ISS.
Your deeds will be remembered a long time in EVE history. And respect for not letting down the shareholders.
People who are foaming around should ask if their alliance would have done the same thing. ISS could also had boiled out and could have kept the money saying "Bad luck, but that was your risk in trusting us. War always sucks, byebye."

It's the end of an era of ISS market piracy and smacktalking noobs wandering around 0.0. It was fun having ISS out there but it was like shooting ducks in a barrel. ISSN making threats, popping one ship then fleeing local.
ISSN are an alliance that all pirates and scammers alike should look up to. Cool an orange sig |

The idea of ISS most likely wont die. They will live on changed but still strong. Their ending was, on one hand, predictable because of their position (both Political and physical) during the buildup to the current war and on the other hand surprising in the rapidity with which it all came down. I salute ISS, and when this war ends the new border lines of the galaxy are going to be drawn. Perhaps you will find a new home in 0.0 if BoB and LV emerge in a strong position. For sure the future is uncertain, but I have no doubt ISS will be there, changed but there.
I salute you.
Thundirr Out.
**when i mentioned their position both Political and physical. I mean their conflicts with their neighbors and their big backers mainly LV and BoB. Physical being the stratigic importance of their stations. (in D2s Case)

If you guys had remained truthful to your initial beliefs, ISS would still be an icon in EVE.
I was one of the many fans of ISS when you first started, and now i'm just one of many who believe ISS has no place in EVE anymore. Too bad to see something so beautiful go down with no glory. |
