Sure the POS dident have a bubble at it? I know its not soposed to work like this but i've ended up at a bubbled POS before when warping to a planet, fortunateley it was our own POS
Don't ask me how, i know bubbles are only soposed to work when on the same grid as - as well as inline of the warp destination, but it has happened before no doubt. -

i have had this happen, sometimes when controlling ships in manual orbits and you double click in space near a moon.
also when i have intitated a warp to a gate i have ended up at a moon, and has happened to out gangs too.
it sucks, tbh you should only ever be able to warp to moons by the Planets > moons menu. would save so much crap.

Are you serious? They still haven't managed to give us an answer on 'shooting people inside POS shields' topic
Off topic.
But, the thread where this was discussed was eventually resolved. The guy who was origionally making the complaint about shooting through POS shields posted the official response from a GM. The official response is that if you have no password set on the POS, people who enter it who are not of the corporation that owns the pos (regardless of their standings, which would have to ofc be positive in order to pass the shields) can be targeted and shot.
Undocumented feature. A lot of eve is undocumented. We all wish it wasn't, but... here we are. Now you know.

Well it was me that got the reply from the GM...someone else posted it from our alliance chat (dam alts ). I had to have it escalated..the 2 GMS disagreed, then a third GM came along in the thread and said that he would look into how the POS was meant to work.
Nothing has been posted by a GM since then. So no one is quite sure if this was how a POS was intended to behave or if it was just a bug they forgot to fix. Did I say bug...sorry
Anyway..back to freaky warps...
Hmmmm, that is most interesting.
If you get a good answer, please post it here so we can all be made wiser.

Its too easy to dismiss his comments and just flame him, than to stop and consider there might be some bug in the game. Several people has reported the same problem in this thread, and Ill add myself to this very list.
Never had this problem before about random warps, be it in gang or flying solo.
Sometimes I roam around and the ship makes an odd warp leaving me puzzled about what just happened.

I've seen the accidental warp to a moon multiple times. It's cause you double click to align somewhere, or just accidently double click in space for some other reason, and you accidently double click a moon and warp to it. It sucks because the moon icons don't show in space normally so you don't realize its happened until its too late. You may be clicking while waiting for lag to settle, trying to click your overview but hitting the space behind it (your overview is transparent and your clicks go through to the space behind it), or you are trying to fly away from someone or something in a particular direction. Your FC may have told people to align to a planet (say where you have a friendly POS) and it just happened that a moon was lined up where a lot of people doublclicked to align.
I've done it before but been lucky enough that no POS was there. I've even seen an industrial trying to make a run from a gate camp accidently warp to a POS moon and go POP. It sucks, but it happens.

I've had this happen twice to me, and what leads me to belive it is a bug is when the time I got popped, I petitioned it, and CCP gave me the ship back.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it used to be that if you hit ctrl-F9 to clear your screen, all the mouse click functions still worked, only you couldn't see that menu on the screen.

Amarazo, I've had this happen to me before also. I assumed I misclicked but have no idea how I could have done that given the circumstances.

Solution:
Start using the right click menu to warp to objects rather than visual selecting your destination and right clicking on the object with your cursor and initiating warp. A mis-click at any time, anywhere will initiate this.
The system celestial object icons are based on distances and if a moon inline with a planet is closer to you than the planet, if you right click on the planet, and initiate warp you will warp to the moon, as the "sprite" or tile for the moon is above the planets tile as far as the UI is concerned. I've also noticed that the UI has a tendency to select moons with posses more often then not. . .

Maybe I should have mentioned in my previous post. It is possible, with a little bit of luck (maybe bad luck) to warp your self, when you have a clear screen.

This is a POS I NEVER EVER been to. It was also from the direction I came so it was in my back... This is a BoB POS.

There are definetely bugs like this in Eve. For example, we were escorting a freighter in 0.0. Freighter pilot warps to Gate A, his overview and logs show the "Warping to Gate A" message. But when he got out of warp, he was at gate B.
I have personally warped to gate in high-sec, and ended up at moon. And no, I did not choose moon behind overview either...

This has nothing to do with BoB or Fix or dev intervention. For the past few months 'sometimes' warping to a gate or planet will put you at a moon. Its happened to IAC gangs for quite some time in 0.0 and in a variety of regions.
It sucks but because it to duplicate making it hard to bug report it.

This has happened to me before too. Once in a battle with TCF/Goon with something like 500 in local. Our FC gang warped everyone, and I (completely hands off, didn't touch my keyboard at all) ended up at a moon. Several others did too. I've been "lag warped" around like this several times in high lag situations. I only remember ending up at a moon once though.
When the lag reaches a certain point the game just goes to hell. At that point you're a spectator as much as anything else, hoping you don't get destroyed before you manage to regain control of your ship.

BOB could you please disconnect your "backdoor" access into the servers and stop warping hostile gangs to your pos to get obliterated? mmkay thanks!
Its really funny that the fiorst person to bring BoB into this conversation is one of their friends. I dont see where the OP was blaming anyone. He was simpily asking for an explanation...
Methinks he doth protest too much!
Umm, perhaps you missed the first word in the title of the thread in all caps "EXPLOIT". And he also talked about how he got warped to a BOB pos.
If it's a bug then put it in here as a bug and change the title. People talking about exploits where your enemies warp you to their pos's is ridiculous. You know how the eve player base works anymore, any small bug or even accident must now always be labeled an "exploit". If he had put it in here correctly as a bug then I would have never responded. But just like most people in these forums, I'm tired of reading the same old "the sky is falling, exploit exploit" crap that these forums now seem to exude on a near daily basis.
I would imagine that this particular issue for most people is people clicking behind the overview (which I wish CCP would fix). But that, as nearly all things, should be labeled as a bug and not an "exploit". You want real feedback, change the title.

Uhm, I've in the past accidentally warped to a moon but I figured it was accidentally double clicking or something.
Something about the OP tho - you claim to be scrambled by a reinforced pos.. When a pos is in reinforced all modules that require CPU go off-line which include scramblers.. So I think there is possibly other inconsistencies with the account..
It certainly sounds like gangwarp aswell.

That is a strange bug, but it hppens sometimes, experienced it a few times in YM- when warping from a certain moon to a gate parallel to our outpost.
But still it sounds like a gangwarp to me

I've never seen or heard of such a nasty case but on multiple occasions I've chosen a seemingly harmless destination to warp to, a gate or a station for example and ended up at a moon. It hasn't killed me yet but I'm sure its only a matter of time.
The first time it happened I just kinda assumed I had clicked to warp to the wrong object but its happened about 3 or 4 times now. The game must get mixed up with warp to locations or something.
As for the ops case it sounds like you've either got a corrupt FC or one prone to mistakes. If what you've said is correct of course.

Its not a bug, its a new feature CCP implemented into EVE to make it more sci-fi. They are just trying to create some sort of space warp anomaly. When you think you are warping forward your actually warping into a whole different direction. And sometimes due to heavy traffic the warp drives of the ships disrupts the space causing natural "tractor beams".
[back from boredom] CCP should deffenetly look into this, if this is a real bug then imagine it happens on a much larger scale. 150 man fleet is warping to a gate, they get lagspike, end at enemy deathstar POS, no one can warp due to lag. OMG WTF!!1!1!11!!

What's Your point? I can't treat that as any evidence. I trust on Your and all reading this topic intelligence, so I won't explain why :)
Back on topic. Sounds odd, that's for sure. If You have checked logs and You are absolutely sure no one initiated warp to the moon, yet You were warped then it is clearly (at least in my understanding) a bug. Calling it an exploit goes a bit too far though. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a BoB lover at all, but there's a line that shouldn't be crossed. Accusations have to be backed up by evidence. From what You and others say, there are only evidence of something strange, nothing linking it to BoB.
Fact that majority or even all of reporting this, let's call it a bug, are from anti-BoB coalition isn't a proof it's an exploit (it is wierd to me though). As well as video material I were referring to earlier this can be interpret in various ways, I won't insult readers' inteligence by explaining why :) -------------------------------------------------- (Signature starts here)

Double clicking on an object in space does not make you warp to it.
However, there is another little UI annoyance that could explain some of these cases. If you left-click in space, and your cursor is over an object (planet, station, etc), you get a little pop-up UI widget with buttons around the cursor that allow you to do things like warp to the object, approach it, etc. I'm sure you've all seen it. If you move the cursor over one of these buttons and release you will activate that action.
I have several times in the past tried to rotate my view slightly and ended up warping to an object by mistake because of this. It usually only happens when you left click within the disc of a moon, but for celestial bodies with rings, the area in space that activates this left click menu extends beyond the disc of the planet itself. You get a similar problem sometimes if you are close to stations. _____________________________________________
