I have had this happen as well.
I was chatting to my corp while sitting at a gate camp.
Multiple people in gang and because the gang was just forming there werent any WCs or SCs only the FC and he was not at the gate yet.
I checked all of this.
So while im chatting trying to get more people into the gang. Bam my cepter enters warp and next thing i know. Im at a moon.
Usually its always a moon. Sometimes its just a random spot or im in such a hurry to get back to gang that i dont look around to much (heh who wants to wait and see whats there)
This has happened to me maybe 5 times. Some times im chatting sometimes im panning the cam. Others im being gang warped with the rest of the fleet. (Already aligned and my speed is constant i dont touch anything on keyboard or mouse) Fleet gang warps and hey lookie here im going to a moon again. Its always me that ends up at the moon never a gang member.
I have yet to sacrifice a ship to this (crossing fingers) and usually there arent hostiles in system.
Very annoying bug.

I have had both the kinds of this bug happen to me recently. During the BOB war I had several situations where I was chilling at a POS, NOT in a gang, with my hands nowhere near the keyboard or mouse just listening on ts for orders and suddenly my ship started warping. I have also had situations where I've been moving a small gang of people around, gang warped to a gate and I or a single member of my gang has landed at a seemingly random moon. Luckily I've never lost a ship to this "feature" but that's only because it has happened in systems that don't have any/many POSs up.
PS: I wish people would refrain from pointless flaming/trolling in a thread that actually contains something important, but *shrug*.

This has happened/has been happening for a while... When MC invaded g-7 in the first Prohibition campaign there was much lag whilst pilots were shooting the station. A large number of pilots on vent reported being warped off randomly to different celestials (moons, planets, the station etc.)
Its a bug somewhere in the lag recovery code I'm guessing... that or something we arent allowed to discuss on this forum (i.e. cheating) ... either way the ships need to be reimbursed IN FULL (including stuff lost in cans) as this is a completely server side issue.

I just want to sustain the original poster in the fact that we have issues concerning the game play and teh servers that need to be addressed.
It has happened to me to be hugging a gate waiting for the chance to jump on the other side when I just warped, out of the blue.. I did not end at any planet or moon but it freaked me out. This is just not normal, if I have a connection problem that ffs just disconnect me, but this was not the case.
I am also ****ed about entire gangs and fleets just logging off whenever they are outmatched or there is a possibility of losing the field.
** of course, I represent myself and not speak or act on behalf or my corporation or alliance **

This has happened to myself and a few others in my corp/alliance. random warp offs and random uncloaks when jumping into gates and your ship flys off to wherever it wants or just randomly starts warping somewhere. Its fairly annoying but I usually catch it in time.
