2BN ISK Lost due to lag out.. I think its time to leave EVE

Nathan Rees Sadica Procellum	Posted - 2007.03.04 07:14:00 - [1] So im in a LvL 4 mission in my CNR and rocking along just fine. As the mission progresses i need to warp out. Im already aligned to a stargate so warping should be instant. When i see that my tank isnt going to hold, i warp with over half shield left. An enourmous lag spike hits me and my partner and both of us sit there with our ships saying warping while we get pounded to dust. I lost 2bn ISK on my CNR and he lost a Nighthawk. So ive petitioned it but is CCP gonna do anything about it. I am essentially useless in my playing without the stuf i lost and dont intend to spend a year building back up to it again. Ill be taking my 3 accounts and leaving eve if this doesnt get fixed and within some decent time.

If it was a legitmate server lag issue, which is what it sounds like with both you and your 'partner' experiencing a problem, then it will be reimbursed to you. 2. You have a 2b isk CNR and a NH and you cant tank a L4 mission? WTF? 3. In regards to being useless without your stuff, it sounds like the stuff part is irrelavent. Refer to (2). 4. Where exactly will you be taking your 3 accounts? I dont believe they are transferrable to other games. 5. I fully support the idea of you leaving eve if it means I dont have to read another post like this again. 6. 'Decent time'? You'll be attended to in your turn, posting here isnt going to speed the process up for you. 7. Can I have your stuff?

Meaning You had your tank running. So how is it in the second mail that no mod worked? + CCP wont refund you. Had the same problem and lost a raven as did my friend and never got it back. Cause CCP is not able to see if lag was present and not that you just couldnt warp cause you where scrammbled. And for last HOW THE F CAN U LOSE A CNR???? I can run my raven with gistii 24/7. Write an honest, truthful explanation of what happened, which mission you were doing etc. Also include your kill mail and insurance payout. IMO if your account of events is true (loosing a Navy Raven and Nighthawk in the same mission is pretty good evidence in itself) then you have a strong case to get it back.

Your modules weren't activated? Dunno about you but my tank is running before I even go in (minus the repper of course) and my ship can last a few minutes like that alone solo (and that is just T2 stuff...no faction gear). Granted if it was a legit lag spike you should get your stuff back but good luck with the petition. I think I have done two reimbursement petitions in my whole EVE career and neither were never, ever answered (forgot about one and realized 4 months later it was still active) so good luck with that. Even so seems you forgot the #1 rule in EVE. Do not fly what you cannot afford to lose.

BM the wreck. Tell the agent you're quitting the mission. Go to the BM and salvage the wreck. I lost a 1.8 Bill worth of raven NI fitted with a stack of T2 about 3 months ago. I was ****ed off. Ask for a second opinion. That being said, if you do lv4's in a lagged out system then you deserve it really.
