Wow, what a devious tactic... oh wait...
Depending on how they start working from that point it can indeed end up to be brilliant or quite stupid and weak. Imagine putting the thing into reinforced every other day and forcing the MC and BoB to spend their time in that system regularly without any results would be not only quite entertaining, but also quite efficient if you use it as distraction for other things. Or of course if you use it to make them careless at some point and then eventually strike after the 10th or 20th time you have put it into reinforced.
All a matter of perspective and of course also a matter of what comes now or not.
Well the problem is how are they gonna put it into reinforced when the MC is around to spank their fleet? They cant. I guess they could attack the POS every time MC moves somewhere else in order to get em to come back but tbh that'll just result in the same stuff happening there as thats happening in Fountain. -----

See you on thursday evening :D
OH the fleets... they camed like the wind and left like some old farts... my guess is that all coalition was gathered just to fraps the ocasion... but couldnt decide who will be the ones doing the actual fight... so, after looking at some gates for a bit... they decided to go to the forums and write some more: OH noes... the coalition didnt actually wanted to kill the capital yards NO. They just wanted to see if bob will protect them. Coalition doesent anchor pos-es in a system to gain something... they just want to see how much ammo bob is using to shoot them... I tell ya... is all part of a bigger plan that will be revealed in some other thursday. OMG... how can you guys live with the shame...

First off, I am impressed by your organisation, you pulled in numbers from everywhere. Huge amount of capitals, and huge support, props to you for that.
However, it does show that you take us seriously now You did need those numbers, and the assault was indeed diverted. I am sure you will want to flame us, but we chose not to fight a sensless lag battle, losses would have been great on both sides. I am sure you saw a little of our capital fleet, and now know what to expect.
Second...after seeing your impressive efforts to bring devastating firepower to the field...we chose to switch targets, other POS were put in reinf I am sure you have fall back plans as well...
Bottome line is...we suffered insignifigant losses, and so did you. You guys were well prepared and up to speed, nice job.
Can you sustain those numbers I am fairly sure that is the most capital ships deployed in one engagement, ...around 250 ready to rock, for their cause. Amazing stuff

Senselessly attacking a POS, in order to make the defenders senselessly recharge it again, in the hope that it will eventually drive them away from the game, and not have the same effect on your own players, is perhaps one of the poorest thought out plans in eve history.
I'm sure they have smarter people in the coalition then this, but if not we may be NPC'ing in Branch before then end of the mounth.

This is the kind of foe everyone wants. One who is sensible and decides not to endure a lag fest but wait for a more proper time of attack.
Props to both sides, this kind of thinking should be the ideal way of playing EVE.

Thinking that by putting POS in to reinforce mode will make BoB not want to log in to the game is even dumber then claiming that BoB is leaving EVE for POTBS. Whatever makes you feel better, I guess.

Well I have to say congratulations to the "enemys":
Still dont know all the details of the entire action because I only saw a part of it, but the strategic deployment of your forces in Delve was very good to say the least, while watching the blobs on map and how you were blocking all the possible ways to get to the objective.
Your fleet manouvering, displayed how competent your FC's are and the awesome capability to react fast and with wisdom.
Very nice JOB today to BOB, LV, MC and all the others. Even if we are on diferent sides of the trenches is always nice to see someone proving that fleet warfare is not only lock and press F1.. F8. You prepared the battlefield extremelly well.
See you tomorrow

I think the coalition's choice was more or less a good one, while not maybe what they wanted.
I fully agree with Churchill when he said: "In war as in life, it is often necessary when some cherished scheme has failed, to take up the best alternative open, and if so, it is folly not to work for it with all your might."
However, as others have pointed out, the MC constellation is in the middle of fracking no where. It took the opposition a lot of fuel, a lot of time, and a lot of resources to get there.
I'm sure they'll eventually make a stand somewhere, but I'm perfectly content in letting them waste fuel and stront in the meantime.
Let's be honest with each other for a second though. While all wars involve attrition, expending massive amounts of resources to bore your enemy isn't going to make you win that aspect by any means.
