Not only do I want to bump but ask has anybody else noticed a drop off in the effectiveness of sentry drones recently? It's like they are not taking into account the drone upgrade modules. I nearly got blasted out of space before I realized what was happening.

Or... just make some hotkey's for the drones, just 2 should be great. All drones attack active target, all drones return to ship, saves me rightclicking the menu...
And while your at it, a relaunch previous dones would be nice too...
and put them at F9-F11 (who are unused atm iirc)

Never knew what the fuss was about until I started playing around with drones. Now I know there isn't much else more frustrating than telling drones to attack a target and having them go off after completely different ones; or asking them to return and having them ignore you.
Really needs some work.

For the love of god, PLEASE fix the drone interface. I'm sick and tired of half the overview being taken by drone control that lags my EVE for good 5-15sec when recalling fighters.
I cannot understand how something so borked can be left alone while new UI features are implemented.

Fixers keep customers though...
I would at least love to see the single bar hp similar to what gangs have, thats all i ask for now. Isnt that such a hard change to do now that gang windows eat up more of my precious overview space?

The main problem with the drone UI is the fact that it has to share space with the overview, gang view and all the other essentials.
Secondly the drone UI itself is cumbersome and counterintuitive even for non-capital drone users. Having multiple drone groups does solve some things, but with carriers and motherships there are a whole list of new problems. With no ability to create subfolders you are left with a long list of drone folders.
As for bugs, I think we have all spent WAY too much time putting drones into their proper folders over and over again...

I find it amazing how CCP can keep ignoring this issue!
I've been a drone user since I started this game and have 5+ mil SP in drones. The interface alltogether has gotten a lot more laggy during my time in EVE and this hits drone users the most because of the crappy drone UI we have to deal with...
CCP knows it's crap (how can they not?!) and still they act like nothing is wrong! I've seen several posts about drones needing fixes being answered with posts from CCP telling people to submit bug reports about it. Do they not play this game themselves? If they do, they certainly can't be playing Gallente if they don't know how crappy the drone UI is.
Nice post Valandril and keep up the good work bumping, so this may actually get some attention!

Kabump. I don't fly carriers in and I play at 1920x1200, I still dont have enough room for the drone UI. I feel very very sorry for MS pilots playing at 1280x1024.

they rather "fix" stuff that isnt broken (HULL tanking?! EANMII?!) then get on things that we want them to be fixed..
They are introducing heat, which is awefull idea, at least implemented as it is now on SiSi, this heat is gonna bring even more lag.
But DRONE AI is still BROKEN!!! Nooo..not CCP, they are too blind to fix whats broken, they rather put out new lag-making feature or nerf stuff that isnt problem!
COME ON CCP..u can do better then that..

I would at the very least like a post from a dev on their opinion of the drone UI or whether or not they think doing anything to it is worth their time. Any kind of confirmation that they're paying attention to the complaints and suggestions.

No reply for at least an hour now :D
Every day i log on in hope of seeing a new dev blog with the name "Drone UI changes", but, in my year and a half of playing, am still disappointed. Even a drones will now stay in groups, a boost to drone HP, letting us see our drone stats...even let us use the bloody mess that is heat with drones...just some recognition of the pain we are going through.

Heat = drones forgotten again!
You can't overheat drones then you can't boost them.
They still don't have more HP, and the overloaded guns do more DPS.
Drones are dying...
